OK this one has been bugging me so I did some digging to find the answer and here is what I found.

The MoK still gives Frenzy to Knight mounts and Chariot mounts but not Character mounts.

Here is my Logic

MoK says any model with the Mark of Khorne is subject to frenzy. The key word is model therefor a Knight and his mount being 1 model are both counted as gaining frenzy from the MoK. Furthermore the army entries for everything say the "Unit" may be given the mark of Khorne etc... This means the entire unit is affected by it including the horses. The same wording is used on Magic Banners (the unit) I don't think you will see anyone arguing that mounts don't get armor piercing if they pay for the AP banner. The same logic applies to chariots.

Now for characters its a bit different. The character is the one with the MoK not the mount. The character is purchasing his mark and the mount but it is the character that has the mark not the mount. Even though it will eventually be the same model it is not when you buy the MoK. The knights on the other hand have no choice. The Mark wording is not the same as on units either. They simply state "Marks of Chaos" under character options implying it is an option for the character.

So a Khorne character wouldn't give frenzy to a Jugger or a Chariot.

Now the Banner of Rage says the unit is subject to frenzy same wording as the MoK and every other magic banner so it would affect all mounts including character mounts.

So that's my 2 cents anyone wanna punch holes on my logic?

We'll have to wait for a FAQ update before the issue can be resolved.

It is tricky as the Page 82 says tha the cavalry is treated as a single model.

Yet further they use terms as "whole" and "combined" model in reference to rider and mount.

In my opinion the Rules as intended were that mounts do not get the special rule if the rider has it and vice versa.

I also would say that in case of the AP banner, that it only affects riders and not the mounts.

And thank you for making me reread this paragraph, as i just found out that cavalr can assault buildings (although on foot  )

I agree I think the intended rule is that they dont however the RAW contradict that.

Its just like when 7th came out every frenzy model in the game gave extra attacks to their mount except Khorne because it specifically said it didn't and the line that said they didn't was just a reminder of the main rulebook rules.

The wording in old army books is weird sometimes it screws over the unit/army (look at the poor gyro copter) sometimes it helps.

Three TO's and a GW rep all said that the Frenzy from the Mark of Khorne and the Banner of Rage is not intended to extend to mounts. The GW rep pointed out that if this were the case, High Elf mounts would also get ASF etc.
