Drop the shield from the lord, since he can't have better than a 1+ anyway. Use those points to give favour of the gods to the Chosen Champion. In my experience with the new edition, the warhounds aren't terribly useful. Dropping them would almost let you add a whole new rank to the chosen. An extra rank means you have 6 wounds to go through before you start losing attacks. Or you could similarly add a rank to the Marauders, which gives you 10 wounds to lose before you start losing attacks in Horde formation. If you plan to roll the Jugger lord with your Knight unit, you'll have a frontage of 8x25mm. Meaning that if you charge the usual 5 x 20mm, at best one knight will not get to fight. That's up to you if you wanna drop him though, because a unit of 6 Knights rolling by themselves is a perfect size. |

Good call on the shield. I'll make that adjustment on the next list. As for the war hounds, I was thinking of using them to hunt war machines and to redirect enemy units. I haven't played 8th yet so this is just theory on my part. The Juggy Lord will probably initially roll with the knights until an opportunity presents itself for him to break off and lend his considerable amount of attacks to another fight. This will take some experimentation. Thanks for the suggestions! |

Warhounds are as useful as ever do not drop them completely, but I reckon you don't need 3 units. Overall get-up of the list looks good. The Lord really isn't worth the points, and since S7 is usually just as good as S8, I'd go with an Exalted with the Ogre Blade instead. However the problem here is lack of protection from war machines. For this reason I'd be much more inclined to just go with a Halberd for weapon choice and take the Crimson Armour of Dargan so that even a cannonball cannot OHKO you. If you insist on sticking with a Lord however take the Talisman of Preservation along side this. Units look fine bar the Chosen. They are too small I reckon and could use one more rank. If youn can shave points somewhere taking another 10-20 Marauders to make a horde would be preferable. |
