As the title states, I am a brand new Warhammer Fantasy player, putting together my first army. I have the batallion, an extra 20 marauders, and an extra 12 Chaos Warriors. I am still waiting on my rulebook, but here is my first attempt at an army list. Any advice/help appreciated. Chaos Sorcerer - 180 pts (Need avice on kit and where to stick him) - Lvl 2 - Mark of Tzeentch - Dispel Scroll - Spell Familiar 30 Marauders - 172 pts -Mark of Slaanesh -Musician and Standard -Shield and HW 18 Warriors - 326 pts -Mark of Tzeentch -Musician and Standard -HW and Shields 5 Knights - 220 -Mark of Tzeentch -Ensorcelled Weapons and Shields 5 Marauder Horsemen - 96 -Mark of Slaanesh -Light Armor -Flails -Musician -(Possibly Javelins) Total = 994 (without Javelins) Any feedback is appreciated. Go easy on me :) |

Hi! Welcome to everchosen :D I don't think you can have a dispel scroll and a power familiar - you can't have two of the same category item on a character, and both are arcane items i think. Otherwise, i don't see any problems with your list, tho you may find through playing that you prefer different marks / loadouts on your units - just keep things flexible until you settle on an army and playstyle ^^ I'd stick javelins on the horsemen - you never know how useful 5 javelins can be on fast cav until you get them behind the enemies general and his small unit! Be aggressive, get into combat fast, and throw your fast cav behind the enemies lines (if your opponent charges them, it'll bring him out of formation and leave him open to counter-charging. if he doesn't, then you have cavalry behind his lines!) Have fun ^^ Pilch |

Hey, thanks for the reply. 2 questions: 1) Where should I stick my sorcerer, and 2) Is 18 warriors too much for 1000pts. Should I move it down to 12 and spend the points somewhere else? |
