Hey there, I'm trying to make some chaosy looking armour plating, but am not particularly good at anything. I was wondering if anyone had any tips, or known tutorials about how to do this marginally successfully. Or am I just being a saucy perfectionist, and its not as hard as it seems? For the meantime I've moved to doing chainmail for the armour pieces, as this seems a little less daunting, but plating would surely take the cake! |

there was a armour modeling totorial for bloodletters awile back, but you have to turn several pages to find it. if i make armour plates, i would use plastic card and greenstuff. |

Indeed, thin plastic card works very well. Heat it up to and bend it the way you like it, add some greenstuff into gaps / model the GS into chainmail and voilą! |

I've been using the GS as chainmail, but I did want to add some actual plates. I didn't realize you could bend that plasticard with a bit of heat. I'll have to give that a try! I'll take a look for the bloodletter thread, I think I remember it! Thanks! |
