Posted ImagePosted Image Posted Image I'm a little stumped on how to do the Chaos armor. I know what to do with the arms, and shoulders... but I don't know how to handle the torso. The location where the chaos hand glues to the arm will have a little greenstuff fur around it. Thinking I might do that for the top of the boots too. This would make it seemless, and fit the Chaos theme a tiny bit. I'm happy with how the horror heads turned out. It required a little greenstuff to make it work right, and I felt that I needed to add a tongue otherwise it just looked a little odd. What do you think? |

I think you're going to have to make the armour for the body yourself. I can remember seeing a tutorial on that sort of thing somewhere... I can look it up if you want? But the Ogre looks fantastic so far. Should be awesome to see once it's finished. |

Please do, I would *really* appreciate that. As, while I can think up some cool ways to paint the skin, I'd feel like I was fudging on the Wysiwyg by not doing some armor on them. Absolute worst case scenario, they get some sort of Chaos shoulder pad and the gut plates could be Marauder shields or converted gut plates. Thanks for the compliment too. :) |

Thanks Mrtn, I'm looking at those guys for some ideas! I appreciate it! Posted Image Changed the hand a bit. I had a few people say the Chaos hand looked odd, due to the proportions. So I took an Ogre hand and gave it the Chaos weapon... which also let me extend the height of the weapon to give more of a great weapon impression. |

Thinking metallic scales growing from the skin might be very cool. I'm a Chaos Dwarf fan so I had been thinking of using scalemail armor. Thinking about it, I realized Chaos Armor grafts with the skin and all. So I further extended this and though that, especially being Tzeentch, metallic scales might actually work quite nicely with them! Thoughts? Thinking of having the left side of the scales being metallic green, the right metallic purple.... or vice versa. That'd give the green/blue colors seen on some scales. |

Working on a test model for the Chosen... Here he is so far, I want to do some more work on the pages of the book... Posted Image BTW, could a staff member kindly edit this thread's title to be "Swiss's Tzeentch Mortals"? I'd appreciate it. |

Nice work on the Ogres so far Swiss! I like the idea you have for the converted chosen I just have some personal reservations about the blue "hair" coming off them. That's just me though. |

I agree with WarriorforChaos, it looks a bit like a glam rock hairdo. I've changed the thread name, I'll move the thread to Army Diaries as well, as that seems to be what you want it to be. |

Chosen design is cool. I'm guessing that blue stuff on head/halberd is fire. Alter the paint job to make it look less like hair and it will be awesome. |

Thank you very much Mrtn, I appreciate it! Yeah, I've heard a lot about the fire on the head being hair, so I'm scraping that concept. Thankfully the head was set in and not glued so I could test the look! Thinking of going sans-horns, and painting a "third eye" on the helm either where the forehead would be, or centered on the eye slit. I think that could look pretty cool, and distinguish. I'm liking the blue fire on the weapons, though I'll tweak the paint job a tiny bit. The mark of Tzeentch on the book will also pop on the armor here and there too. |

Altered the chosen a bit... I wasn't happy with the metallic green. It still seem too Nurgle from the front. I also got rid of the Medusa hair, the chosen will now have the Tzeentch mark on top of their helms. Posted Image I will add more to the basing. I will have two types of crystals on the bases. So the basing is still WIP. However you can see the direction this is going. |
