Here's a small marsh/swamp/thing I threw together. It's based on a CD, and the "land" is made with Milliput. Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image |

it is very well modeled and it uses something else than a crater im my area.i really like the way it's wet and muddy, but it can be more natural if you would give it a unusual shape to make it more natural. but it's a very good job. :) |

Thanks. This is more or less a test piece, just thrown together, that's why I took the easy way out with the CD. :) |

Oh, realised I forgot to mention the sand on the banks, as well. You don't need Milliput, you can use any type of putty, or any type of spackle/filler. But Milliput is much cheaper than GS. I think I payed £2-3 for the packet. I used less than a tenth (maybe a twentieth?) of a packet for this piece. If you don't mind straight rivers I suppose you could base it on CD cases for a thin cheap plastic. Just ask me for a more detailed tutorial if something's unclear, I didn't explain very well what I've done, just mentioned the non standard stuff. The rest just follow how I do my basing, after all. |
