Ok, so I read this somewhere, and have to ask, because it's sounds completely abuse-able. Are models that are making supporting attacks considered to be base contact just for the idea of making a supporting attack, or are they considered to be in base contact for any other effect that requires it? |

No. Their bases are not in contact with each other, so they are not in base contact. Simples. (The only minor complication to the "base contact" rule is that you ignore movement trays, or to put it another way, pretend the part of the movement tray the base is touching is itself part of the base. That's just a concession to practicality, and no indication that "base contact" means anything other than just what it says... in 8th Edition or any other). |
