I've been playing since 1982! Time sure goes by quickly. I've just started WoC but I have:

Dwarves ~ 3.5k
HE ~ 2.5k
Demons ~ 4k
VC ~ 2k
Lizards ~ 4k
WoC ~ 1k

Grey Knights ~ 2k
Space Wolves ~ 4k
Eldar ~ 3k
Demons ~ 4k (most demons work in both 40k & WHFB)

Also assorted bitz and lots of Warmachine and Hordes. I just wish I had more time to play!

I play WoC Nurgle only right now. I can probably field 4-5K. But have a very large Beast army too, probably 4K. Actually I can field a 1500 point army from just about any WHFB army. And can probably do 4K Empire and 3K Dwarf pretty easily. I have been collecting for 18+ years and have accumulated a lot of stuff from friends who have stopped playing and/or collecting. Plus I am in a friend's "will" for all of his very sizable collection if anything were to happen to him lol. I hope nothing but good happens though; he is one cool dude.

Plus I have lots of Ork, Imperial Guard, and Eldar. But my pride and joy 40k army is an entire 100+ model Space Marine company from a chapter that I have dubbed the "Blood Wolves". This Blood Wolves collection consists of 2, 10 man Terminator units, 8 Bikes, 2 Attack Bikes, 3 Rhino chassis tanks, 3 Land Speeders, 2 Dreadnaughts, plus 10 man units of Assault (2 units), Tactical (2 units), Devastators (2 units), Scouts (1), Sisters (1), and more. Plus dozens of characters; special and generic. But I don't play 40K. I just like the models and the mythos that GW has built up for that world. :P

I've owned a number of armies over the years but what I have now is...

3.5K of Wood Elves

5K of Tomb Kings

3.5K of Beastmen

I like the speed, leadership and WS/BS of elf armies, the resiliency of undead and the theme and feel of beasts.
With WoC, it's the toughness, armor and amazing combat prowess of our troops that draws me to them. The models are great, too.

I have only begun collecting recently as i wanted to play around with all the armies i could get to be sure of my investment. Thus i have at one time or another played the as Lizardmen, Brettonia, Dark Elves, Beatmen, Deamons, WoC, Vampire Counts, Skaven, OK, Nippon, Cathay, Araby, Chaos Dwarfs, Dogs of War, Tribes of Norsca, Amazon, Albion and Kingdoms of Ind.

I have begun my collection with the warriors of chaos and plan on it being either a tzeentch or malal/undivided themed army. Which i also utilize as a Tribes of Norsca army utilizing the book by Grim Squeaker. Currently at 1500+

I will begin collection of Vampire Counts this winter after i get all my current models painted, love the whole playstyle of a mostly crap unit with resurrection army, and vampires are hot right now :P

I plan on beginning my Chaos Dwarf army utilizing the rules from FW, minus the army only being allowed in WoC bit sometime next year as well as the book from Tommy H. They kick the poo out of Dwarfs 5 days a week and twice on Saturday in MHO. Waiting for 8th edition WoC, its going to be a very jolly christmas for me, can't say the same for my opponents.

Lastly, i will sometime in the future collect a Nippon army. I mean come on Samurai and Ninja, who can really say no to that.

Contemplating collecting a Dogs of War army but that will be in the far future. Love the feel and sheer amount of options this army provides, and have a soft spot for mercs and sellswords as i know a few in real life.

I heard it as a joke on another site; but I would totally buy and collect miniatures for Warhammer 2k if it was ever made. Dibs on America lol.

The only army other than WoC I have a more serious amount of (in fantasy) is Beastmen. Then I also have a smaller amount of Dwarfs, Chaos Dwarfs and Skaven, as well as the 40k armies Eldar, Dark Eldar and Chaos Space Marines (Iron Warriors).

@Misery Index: I'm still on the fence about gun-line WHFB armies. Sure it looks damn sweet and I do own my personal very sizable Emp and Dwarf gun/war-machine heavy armies, but isn't that what 40K is for?

Before WoC, I've done Lizardmen, VC, and some High Elves. However, I just plan on doing the whole Chaos Star from now on!

My first WFB army was the noble sons of Bretonnia whom I abandoned for the Dark Gods! However, the lady calls and one day I shall return to her embrace!

I do run Daemons as allies too sometimes. Just felt right lol.

Used to have a huge undead army when it was undead, kinda got sold in '98 when I stopped playing as no one bothered with fantasy, had had it years started when I was at school so you can guess how big it ended up :P.

Right this moment I have:

WoC fair amount, painting it up
O&G started to a good size, got it all cheaply doing after WoC
Dwarves - 3 BFSP sets for the future
under 1k High elves from years back I intended to do, but never got the chance to.

Also have a craftworlds worth of eldar from RT days to current ranges, never gets played.
Dark Angels which I got in 4th ed when I got persuaded to try 40k again, 5th ed had them retire as suddenly they were obsolete like Eldar became so thinking of selling the marines off when the next DA codex is released as hate the AP system with a passion.

I have a fair amount of WoC, though mostly a 7th edition army, waiting on the new WoC army book to get more.
4-5k of dwarfs, my first army
3-4k of O&G
2.5k beastmen.

Interesting that most played 2nd armies are the other 2 chaos armies..
