Hey guys I wanted to make some of my units devoted to malal(google helps explaining who he is) I wondered what special rules could apply and with what point cost (friendly games) Something like stubborn and hatred(everyone) but with a chance to turn against their allies or sth Any suggestions welcome! |

I'd just probably use them unmarked as a "count as." Or maybe mark them slaanesh (to represent their determination in holding on to Malal after all this time) and paint them in the style of Malal (the white and black skull). Making up your own rules means you can only play your army with a very select group. My friends and I do it all the time for narrative battles/campaigns, but you should have a legal solution in case you want to field your army in any other context. |

From the fluff I remember reading way back in the day, Malal was simply another chaos god devoted to destruction and anarchy- he had a particular hatred for the devotees of the other gods, but other than that there really werent any defining characteristics of his followers to my knowledge. His symbol was the 8 pointed star with the skull in the middle, which eventually became the symbol for all forces of chaos, and also seems to have influenced the logo for the legions of mars in 40k (the cog with the skull in the middle). He has been subsumed into being representative of the generic followers of chaos since the late 1980s, Im honestly not sure what you could do to represent his followers other than hatred vs demons/chaos. Maybe giving them frenzy as well would help, as they seemed pretty fanatical back in the day. |

As far as I recal, Malal was the renegade god. Those who turned to him was people like that worker who didn't like his suprior or the slave who didn't stand their master. those kind of people. And of course those who really hated chaos. the rules for Malal would be simple I think. hatred against chaos and daemons. And should really not alley with any of the chaos powers. if you gonna play Malal, no other chaos power should be selected in your army. If you're really into the fluff, it does say that malal followers even hate other Malal followers, since they follow a chaos force (something tells me the numbers of suicides should be really high among this gods followers  ). So maybe you should just have a chaos character and alley it to other armys who fights against chaos. But that's over analyzing :P |
