I want to use the Forgeworld hellsmith and the command for the infernal in my chaos army as I do not see me using them in a normal Chaos Dwarf army. What do people think about using them as characters? I was going to use my hellsmith as my lord. The champion from the infernals as a sorcerer. The standard bearer as a BSB. Was thinking of sculpting some fur linned cloaks on them to keep them in theme with the Chaos Warriors. Is this a silly idea and should I just stump up the cash for a unit of them to use as chosen or is it all good in da hood? |

As long as they're clearly distinguishable from the rest of what you've got and you're happy with them, I'd say you're good to go. People do things like use Beastmen for Marauders, and that's a less obvious distinction than Chaos Dwarfs on 25mm bases. |

If it's "counts as" then there's nothing wrong with mounting models on different base sizes (so long as base is the size of what the model counts as). |
