Both of the Characters go into the knights beefing them up while providing the protection against all the attention they will get. lvl 3 Tz Sorc - Collar of khorn, Puppet, on barded steed, 5+ ward save 369 join the knights bsb Blasted banner- khorn, halberd, barded steed 210 join the knights 18 warriors khorn fire halberds shields 358 8 knights Tz champion, banner of rage 415 14 marauder horsemen with slanesh, flails 145 The Knights have a 4+ ward against shooting and magic. Im thinking about adding dogs to give them cover. I realize that I'll be outnumbered ,but I think I can make up for it. If get a double charge off with my calvary the unit should vaporize. Not bad. Not bad at all :) I asume u will going to use knight champion if get issued by challenge ? If not then better ward saves to characters :) |

Your right on. Champion will take challenges. That is a concern of mine with this list. I can't really figure a better way to deal with that and keep all my cool protection. |

If u dont trust knight champion, dont use him. Buff up BSB and challenge with him :) take musician instead. Beside i think ur horsemen are going to take enemy warmachines ?? If so, then u dont realy need that Blasted Standard. |

Interesting. Dont your knights have a 5+ ward from shooting and a 4+ ward from magic? (rather than 4+ and 4+) possible changes: - personally could never go to war without a DScroll and would prob take it over Puppet. - MH: Firstly, 14 MH w flails and MoS = 220pnts not 145 (I wish it were) Could consider two smaller more versatile units rather than one larger one, ofcourse you would loose the rank negation in flank charges. If kept as one I'd still drop the MoSlan as they have the re-roll anyway and opponents will never expect the larger MH unit to choose to flee from a charge which IMO is still a valid play and could set up charge oppotunities with your hammers. Personally, I'd drop the mark and add a mus. - Could drop Blasted and add 7 hounds. Could then give BSB challenge worthy equipment ( plus soporific musk would fit nicely.) Potential but needs tweeking IMO. Good luck. |

No, the knights get a 4+/4+. The banner the BSB has gives them a 4+ total vs shooting since they are tzeentch, and the MR2 gives them a 4+ against direct damage magic for the same reason. There is one flaw with the way you are going. Unit champions of any flavor cannot accept or issue challenges in a Warriors army over an actual character unless there is a war shrine present in your army. The rule that makes us have to issue and accept challenges is the Eyes of the Gods rule, which unit champions do not get unless the shrine is there. |
