As part of a escalation campaign being run at the local club people are able to run standard lord / hero on any storm of magic monster.

I have only one monster and that's Tamurkhan's toad dragon - linky

Anyway, how would someone fully utilise Bubebolos' unique stats with a custom Nurgle character? Weakness' he'll have?

There are 15 other players and I'll likely be against every one of the races in the Warhammer world at some point. I've no idea really and would just like to get some of the minds here at COTEC on it.

Are you using the stats from the website, or the official stats from the book? Also, are you using Bubebolos specifically, or just the generic toad dragon? The Toad Dragon rules for Storm of Magic are different than what you have posted, so you may want to see what stats you will have to use before we can give you a proper analysis.

General information is watch out for artillery. He is able to shrug it off better than most, but you could still see him brought down by 2 good shots. Also, Shadow Magic and Death Magic could quickly render him defeated, so either keep him away from casters, or target them quickly. He will destroy normal reigments being immune to Str 3 attacks, and his 2D6 Thunderstomps are great. Up against anything not able to be hit with Thunderstomp, however, will quickly reduce his effectiveness.

He should fair really well. Colossal Monster is a great ability and will keep it from getting taken out from insta-kill spells and war machines that cause multiple wounds. I can't recall if it has Largest of all Monsters, but if it does it will stomp everything except other things with that rule.

For a Nurgle character you have to decide if you want a Sorcerer or Lord, i would personally go with the latter. Try items such as the Crown of Everlasting Conquest, Magic weapon that decreases S in conjunction with the potion of Strength, Crown of Command. Something like

Chaos Lord, MoN, Crown of Everlasting Conquest, Helm of Many Eyes, Dragon Helm, Great Weapon, Pestilence Breath, Acid Ichor

I would supplement your forces with characters like Festus and Throgg. If you go with the former you have to go with a unit of Mon+Banner of Rage Warriors. If you go with the latter go with an all Troll Core and add a level 2 scroll caddy and put him in a unit of knights with the above build.

AnomalyOfAwesome - It will be a generic toad dragon, I've got the Tamurkhan book with the scroll of binding and I was taking a lazy shortcut by posting that PDF link sorry. However I will check those stats now, thanks to you heads up. You're right about the cannons, I hope I'll only be facing them four of five times in the year depending on my placement on the empires tiles.

ProperVillanz - Thanks for the tips, hasn't even considered taking something to reduce their strength, I'll have to find that in the book, can't remember anything off my head. The crown of command is probably vital isn't it and a lord it is. He's gonna be expensive though...

Pretty sure he can thunderstomp anything not considered a colossal beast, I'll check that though. That could nicely add to combat res.

He does not have the Largest of All rule, as I remember, so you can only do your Thunderstomp on Infantry and Swarms. Maybe something else. But the main thing is Infantry. Up against cavalry and such, you will not get it, unfortunately. So aim for an infantry block, preferably the side, and steamroll ahead. Also, I would consider a Combat Lord for him. The amount of combat res he would be able to generate against a block of infantry would be obscene.
