The following is taken directly from a local GT organizers website, the tournament won't be until September. I thought it might be worth discussing these comp rules here, I think it's an interesting idea myself and am interested to see how it plays out. Interested parties should check out the RockWars GT Website for more information on the tournament itself, it will be held in Little Rock, Arkansas. http://rockwarsgt.com

Its a lot like what i've heard with Warmachine/Hordes tournaments with the different lists. I would support this for a local or even a region/grand tournament. |

Seems reasonable to me. I like the options it introduces. |

This will be my first time attending Rock Wars, but I've been paying close attention to the tournament since I got back into the game. I almost went this previous September but I just wasn't quite ready. One of the first things that jumps out at me when I look over the new comp they're introducing is Special, there's a lot of room there for substitution. A hidden Knight bus for example could be pretty mean. Similarly, having Dragon Ogres/Shaggoth ready to sub in against Skaven could be a real nasty surprise (the local Skaven players love their Warp Lightning in my experience). Either way, I'm pretty excited about this tournament season. I'll definitely be hitting Shiloh at the end of January and Rock Wars in September, but I may also make it to War Games Con and a couple of others. I'm still on the fence about Bugeater though, so we'll see. |
