Magic Resistance doesn't stack...if it did I'd give my skullcrushers the MR 1 banner (Lichebone Pennant I believe) so that they could survive a death cast more easily.
Just finished a discussion with a player from my group. We're both pretty convinced it's been played wrong here. Players were taking it as a per character issue applied to the unit, when RAW the characters all give all models theier MR, which means, yes, every model can only use one.

I think it's written down directly in wardsave section.
Wardsave never stack, you are supposed to use the highest available for the whole group.
And since MR is a wardsave i think it goes same way.

Just kill the opponent lvl 4 in round 1 and everything is fine :-)

MR has the ability to improve your ward save against DD/MM. A Tzeentch character with MR1 and a Tzeentch mark has a 5+ ward against DD/MM.

am i wrong with the assumption
if a unit already has 3+ wardsave, it doesn't need any MR ????
Or is MR against special spells where absolutely no saving throw is allowed ?

If you had a 3+ ward, without any of it coming from MR specifically, you would have a 2+ ward vs magic attacks. T0fPrev, Tzeentch, and a +1 MR item like a lichebone pennant in the unit would get you there. Thats a decent bunker for a lvl 4 come to think of it. BSB with blasted banner would help too....hmmmmmm.
