/edit: I revised the list and edited a great deal of the fluff, so the old post has been consigned to the spoiler tag at the bottom of the post. Here's the new one (eerily similar to the actual post I did of this, I know).
So, as I mentioned, I've reworked my list to accommodate a few changes for ease of play (for me and my opponent/s) as well as to adjust the fluff to coincide with my new models-to-be.
Once again, be warned that there's a lot of text here (this time in spoilers!). Though I'll probably post the fluff over in the fluff forum at some point when I can be bothered tying it all together.
Anyway, new list, ahoy!
Lady Laenestra (415) The Inviolate Princess, Maiden of Slaanesh
Fluff From the time of Laenestra's childhood there spring many tales of gallant knights, chivalrous dukes and pure-hearted peasants venturing into the lands of the northern tribes in search of a damsel said to be so beautiful that no being, mortal or god, could compare. Some of these tales tell that the brave fool was slain by some dark foe or terrible creature, where others tell of happy endings for the newly-wed couple... but no matter the ending, it is always a lie.
The hushed whispers of prophets, diviners and all manner of scrying sorcerers tell a more macabre and truthful tale: one of a princess who, when met with the bloodied visage of a knight who had cut his way through her tribe, her family, in his misguided quest to free her, strangled the life from her false savior with her bare hands. They tell of her tears mixing with the blood upon her hands as she cried herself to sleep that night; of her unconscious mind drawing on the winds of magic to erect a tower of darkest stone around her; of the jaded gaze with which she regarded each of those who followed in the footsteps of that first knight. They tell the true tale of Laenestra.
With each new savior, Laenestra would look deeply into their eyes and find something to despise. For no matter how pure of heart each man may have been as he girded himself to open the door to her chambers, his heart would turn to lust and unfettered desire the moment he set eyes upon the Inviolable Princess. With every life she took, Laenestra found new ways to carve the most exquisite of torments upon the unworthy before they died. Such was her way of life until a champion of another nature altogether found his way to her chambers.
No champion of light, was this man, but a champion of the Dark Gods. As the massive form of his armoured body stepped through her threshold she saw within the warrior's heart and found that his desires were not for her; he lived only to serve his patron. With this realisation came a flood of tears as Laenestra fell to her knees and wept. The tower her mind had created cracked and buckled under the weight of her emotion and only the swift actions of the dark champion saw her delicate body saved as he swept her into his arms and leapt from the balcony, crashing to the ground below with a grunt. As he placed Laenestra upon the ground, the warrior's gaze fell over her tear-streaked face and lustrous form and, for a moment, something fundamental within his heart longed for her.
Laenestra's tears stopped and before the moment could pass locked her eyes onto the dark pits within the champion's helm and seized hold of the very fabric of his being, searing the momentary desire into his heart. The champion stooped down and gently raised her to her feet before kneeling before her, head bowed. Bending slightly to match the kneeling champion's height Laenestra brought her face close to his and caressed the side of his helm, eliciting a shiver of pleasure as she whispered: "Yours shall be the longest torment, my Prince."
For a moment a flicker of fear crossed Laenestra's face as her Prince's armour began to glow with a light that sent ecstatic pulses racing through her body as she gazed at it. The Prince's helm lifted it's gaze and suddenly she was staring into her own eyes, set into the Prince's face. Taking a step back, a voice like fragrant smoke coiled through her mind, sensuously caressing every facet of her mind; the very air around her seeming to shift and caress her like the familiar lover she'd never had.
Whispers and promises of power and immortality with which to pursue the art of death in which she had become so talented slid through her thoughts and images of carnal pleasures that would be heaped upon her by this epicurean voice rippled before her widening eyes. Along with the images came hints at a series of names: the Prince of Excess, Loesh the Serpent, Shornaal the Prideful and, lastly, Slaanesh; the Dark Prince of Chaos. But behind the promises, visions and names there was a simple, overwhelming desire; something Laenestra was all too familiar with.
Laenestra's lips curved into a sumptuous grin and she responded aloud, "I will go forth and spread excess in your name, Slaanesh," relishing the power of the name and the excitement she could feel building in the deity, "But never shall I be yours. Forever shall I remain pure and inviolate."
As her words faded the world stilled for what seemed an eternity before a mixed feeling of disappointment, contentment and a salacious desire for what the future held washed over her, leaving her feeling entirely blissful as she started walking away from the ruin of her tower, a vast panoply of excesses flitting through her mind as she saught that which should would commit first. Her Prince having sunk to his hands and knees as the light of Slaanesh had left him, grasped his sword and pushed himself to his feet, following closely along beside his Princess as they departed the foundation of the tower that had shaped their fates. Sorcerer Lord of Slaanesh
- Level 4 [Lore of Slaanesh]
- Talisman of Preservation
- Enchanted Shield
- Ogre Blade
- Potion of Speed
- Hideous Visage
- Allure of Slaanesh
- Chaos Familiar
Lord Sigurdsson (369) The Unwilling Prince
Fluff Though it is impossible to tell who among the Dark Pantheon this champion once served, any who gaze upon him can see that his allegiance is not to Laenestra or her patron god: his every effort of will vainly directed at breaking the invisible bonds by which his Princess binds him. In a time long since passed over by history, it was the Prince who unwittingly set Laenestra free of her childhood prison and was bound to her will in the single moment for which her allure had lowered his guard; a seed of desire set at the heart of his being that ensured he would serve her every whim.
Such is the force of his will that his flesh and armour are alight with flickering flames, his blade glows white-hot with channeled fury and his burning hatred escapes the gullet of his helm in destructive plumes of fire. But such fury, however futile, cannot last forever and with each battle he draws closer to the day that his desire for release and vengeance consumes him, leaving naught but ashes and countless corpses to show for his existence. Chaos Lord of Slaanesh
- Chaos Steed
- Shield
- Hellfire Sword
- Helm of Many Eyes
- Flaming Breath
- Burning Body
Lilith and Lenala (348) The Rapturous Daughters
Fluff Though none can truly say how Laenestra's daughters were brought into this realm, rumours abound of a pact made between Laenestra and Slaanesh himself to conceive the twins through means immaculate. Whatever the case, the twin daughters of Laenestra, Lilith and Lenala, are supremely beautiful. The twins go to war wearing naught but chains and bearing a massive flowing banner between them. Though their captivity is a feign they created themselves, learning from their mother that the thought of beauty and innocence being corrupted is enough to force any man to fight twice as hard. Though such is directed at the enemy, for there is far greater pleasure to be had in the defeat of an enemy that fights to the last than in the running down of cowards.
The Rapturous Daughters are carried into battle atop a great palanquin bedecked in the symbols of Slaanesh and brought forward by lumbering brutes. The palanquin serves both as a shrine with which to ensure the gaze of their patron and as a pedestal upon which the daughters dance the sensuous dances of Slaanesh. Enrapturing their foes with their glamours and forcing them to fight all the harder, whilst also bolstering the resolve of Laenestra's host--for truly could no army falter with such divine beings at its heart!
Though they are unarmoured and unarmed, Lilith and Lenala fight as one, their flowing grace allowing them to twist and contort through combat and bring low even the sturdiest of foes, while their enemy finds himself fighting a battle against himself to even raise arms against such paragons of beauty and chasteness. Exalted Hero of Slaanesh
- Mounted on a Warshrine of Slaanesh
- Battle Standard Bearer
- Shield
- Flail
- Armour of Destiny
- Scaled Skin
The Disciples (799)
Fluff The core of the Princes' host, these are warriors whose lives have been given over to debauchery and excess in all things. 20 Warriors of Slaanesh
- Full Command
- Halberds
- Shields
- Gleaming Pennant
21 Warriors of Slaanesh
- Full Command
- Shields
- Lichebone Pennant
The Sycophant Cohort (170)
Fluff Though not truly a part of the Princess' host, there are those mortals who become so enamored with seeking the glory of the Dark Prince (or simply with Laenestra and her daughters) that they eschew all armour for speed and ride into battle ahead of the army, seeking to earn some measure of favour with the object of their desires. 2x 5 Marauder Horsemen of Slaanesh The Forsworn Inviolate Guardians (344)
Fluff Comprised of champions of the three other dark gods, these once-men have been bowed their heads to Slaanesh rather than strike at his Princess and now exist purely to further the hedonistic pursuits, and ensure the sanctity, of the Lady Laenestra. 13 Chosen of Slaanesh (344)
- Full Command
- Halberds
- Shields
- Banner of Swiftness
Knights of the Broken Oath (441)
Fluff While many of the Forsworn stand alongside Laenestra in battle, there are those who retain a shadow of their former will. These champions eventually find themselves riding to battle alongside their Prince: riding upon barded destriers and wielding the ensorcelled weapons that once shone as beacons of their station or devotion, but now serve only as the instruments through which they force others to break their own oaths such that the vengeance might bring them some measure of peace. 9 Chaos Knights of Slaanesh (344)
- Full Command
- Enscorcelled Weapons
- Shields
- Banner of Discipline
Pleasure Engines of Slaanesh (420)
Fluff Even the blackest of souls and stoutest of hearts find the allure of the Maiden of Slaanesh irresistible. And so it is that behind the host of Laenestra march a band of Chaos Dwarfs alongside their constructs of daemon, fire and iron that they have forged as symbols of their devotion. With Slaaneshi daemons bound into their iron hearts, the flames of these machines burn less in body than in soul as the warp-bound minions of Slaanesh tug at the lives of those caught within their barrage. 2x Hellcannon
Beasts of the North (550)
Fluff Though it is not by any deliberate design of Laenestra, oftentimes the host will find itself followed by the great beasts and monstrous creatures that abound in the Chaos Wastes. While they are entirely unsubtle in their death-dealing, Lilith and Lenala have both become increasingly fond of the creatures and the spectacle with which they often kill. 2x Chimera
- Flaming Breath
- Regenerating Flesh
Old Post Warning: lots of text.Friday night sees my final game in a Mighty Empires campaign that's been running in my group. Looking at 3,500 points of WoC vs Orcs & Goblins. This is all in the name of fun and my games with the O&G player have been hilarious in the past, so the list isn't the most utterly competitive thing I could make. I'm really going for a fluffy feel to this list (yes, the Princes of Slaanesh should be on Steeds of Slaanesh, but I don't have the models yet :( ). The Six Princes of Slaanesh and their followers. The Sorcerer Lord protected by a bodyguard of his most elite Chosen, the Shrine to the Prince of Pleasure, Hellcannons raining Doomfire upon the enemy, Marauders trailing behind their lauded Princes to bask in their glory, savage Chimera capable of inflicting the most exquisite of tortures upon the enemy flesh... ahh, truly is it bliss! With that little excessive outburst out of the way: I'm mostly looking for feedback on the ideas behind the units. On both their pieces of fluff and their tactical composition. All is appreciated! PS: my list comes to 3,861 as I get 100 points for having a larger empire than my opponent and used my remaining 265 gold. I have 4 points spare. The Sorcerer-Prince of Slaanesh (415) This guy is my as-yet-untested mold for the Slaaneshi combat mage. He's got the usual trappings of 5 spells and a good save (2+/4++), alongside an Ogreblade and gifts to force two Ld tests before he can be hit. I'm really looking to make good use of the Bliss is Torment attribute for this fellow. But, either way, he's still the equal of most combat characters even before debuffing the opponent with ASL.Sorcerer Lord of Slaanesh
- Level 4 [Lore of Slaanesh]
- Talisman of Preservation
- Enchanted Shield
- Ogre Blade
- Potion of Speed
- Hideous Visage
- Allure of Slaanesh
- Chaos Familiar
The Princes of Slaanesh (959) These five Princes, alongside the Sorcerer-Prince, form a pantheon of champions of the Prince of Excess known as the Six Princes of Slaanesh. But while their Sorcerer-liege marches to battle with the Forsworn, the five lesser Princes ride at the head of the army with a flock of sycophantic fools at their backs as they bring terror, pain and the bliss of death to the enemy. Each has a name that may never be spoke for the pleasure the syllables bring to the speaker collapse even the stoutest of minds and so they are referred to only by their place in the Six Princes. (Quick note: all five Princes are Exalted Heroes mounted on Barded Chaos Steeds and ride together in a unit.)The Princes of Slaanesh The Second Prince of Slaanesh (232) Straightforward: a tough as nails BSB.
- Battle Standard Bearer
- Halberd
- Armour of Destiny
- Scaled Skin
The Third Prince of Slaanesh (195) What better bliss than the eternal pain of fire? This guy exists to crush anything high-toughness with S10 Flaming attacks.
- Great Weapon
- Shield
- Helm of Many Eyes
- Potion of Strength
- Burning Body
The Fourth Prince of Slaanesh (177) Stubborn. I really don't want this unit breaking.
- Halberd
- Charmed Shield
- Crown of Command
The Fifth Prince of Slaanesh (190) Magical protection in the form of MR(3) and a 6++ against warmachines.
- Halberd

- Obsidian Lodestone
- Ironcurse Icon
The Sixth Prince of Slaanesh (165) Because a unit like this should truly cause Terror.
- Halberd
- Shield
- Terrifying Mask of Eee!

The Disciples (873) The core of the Princes' host, these are warriors whose lives have been given over to debauchery and excess in all things.21 Warriors of Slaanesh

- Shields
- Lichebone Pennant
24 Warriors of Slaanesh

- Standard of Discipline
The Sycophant Cohort (170) Those who cannot truly gain the favour of His Dark Majesty are driven steadily insane by their desire; they ride into battles they surely cannot win at the backs of their betters, hoping to glean some measure of the Dark Prince's attentions.10 Marauder Horsemen of SlaaneshThe Shrine of Excess (130) Excess comes not only in battle and so it is that the Princes ride to battle ahead of this great palanquin bearing a Shrinemaster chosen from the most devoted of the Disciples and tasked with committing acts of greater and greater excess upon this stage, drawing the gaze of Slaanesh upon those who fight in his name. It is a rare day that the exaltations of the Shrinemaster will see his own heart still beating and so the Disciples ever jostle for the opportunity to be bestowed with this honour.Warshrine of SlaaneshPets of the Third Prince (550) There is little pain to be found that is more exquisite than that of flames licking the flesh from the bones, boiling blood within the vessels and destroying the very essence of ones body. With his own eternal pleasure in mind, the Third Prince searched the Chaos wastes for ways to bring that sensation to his enemies.2 Chimerae
- Flaming Breath
- Regenerating Flesh
Pleasure Engines of Slaanesh (420) Even the blackest of souls and stoutest of hearts find the allure of the Dark Prince irresistible. Behind the host of the Six Princes march a band of Chaos Dwarfs who have forsaken their deity in the name of excess; forging great machines with the essence of Slaaneshi daemons bound into their iron hearts. The flames of these machines burn less in body than in soul as the warp-bound minions of Slaanesh tug at the lives of those caught within their barrage.2 Hellcannons Oh-kay. So that went a bit longer than I thought. Kudos to anyone who's actually read through it! Any thoughts are greatly appreciated :)
