Hi all, Took my Nurgle List to a FLGS tournament. The one with both Festus and Throgg. Well, I didn't do very well (went 1-2), but that was mostly due to tactical errors. I've been playing the game for a long time but this is my first WoC army and I didn't use some things properly. And I forgot that Festus gave the unit Regen for the first two combats in my flaming warriors unit, which cost me one of my losses. But, I found that it felt a little weird running TWO special characters, PLUS a DP (who was a beast). I'm pretty sure if I had won (like I should have :P) people would have complained a bit. So I wanted to try without the special characters, or at least dropping one of them, while still keeping the Nurgle Theme. Here it is. 2500 Pts - Warriors of Chaos Roster Lords Daemon Prince of Nurgle, 530 pts (General) . . Wizard Level 4 . . Mark of Nurgle . . Chaos Armor . . Daemonic Flight . . Sword of Striking . . Charmed Shield . . Dragonbane Gem . . Flaming Breath . . Scaled Skin (Scaly Skin) . . Soul Feeder Standard build here. He only died once because I sent him against a whole Ogre Army by himself, and he was running a large amount of poison maneaters plus the impact hits. And he ALMOST made it anyway (lasted 7 combats). Heroes Chaos Sorcerer of Nurgle, 185 pts . . Mark of Nurgle . . Level 2 Upgrade . . Enchanted Shield . . Dispel Scroll Scroll Caddy. Exalted Hero of Nurgle (Battle Standard Bearer), 208 pts . . Mark of Nurgle . . Shield . . Dragonhelm . . Dawnstone . . The Other Trickster's Shard . . Burning Body Last time I used Banner of Eternal Flame. This time I went with Burning Body on the BSB so I could give Banner of Swiftness to the Warriors (I felt they were slow). Core 18 Chaos Warriors of Nurgle, 405 pts . . Full Command . . Shield . . Halberd . . Banner of Swiftness They have performed pretty well. Wish I had about 4 more bodies though for extra wounds. Chaos Chariot of Nurgle, 125 pts . . Mark of Nurgle I haven't tried this guy yet. I tried the Gorebeat and it was awesome. I think this guy will do pretty good as well and the little extra movement will be nice. 5 Chaos Warhounds, 40 pts . . Vanguard 5 Chaos Warhounds, 40 pts . . Vanguard 5 Chaos Warhounds, 40 pts . . Vanguard Standard Chaff. I only ran two units last tournament and there were times three would have been nice. Plus I was low on drops and this helps. Special Chimera, 275 pts . . Flaming Breath . . Regenerating Flesh Very much a glass cannon who has died almost every game. However, I've never been disappointed in its performance. It really dishes out the damage before going down. Gorebeast Chariot of Nurgle, 140 pts . . Mark of Nurgle This guy is a beat, no pun intended. He took a flank charge by 6 maneaters and managed to only take 1 wound. He also killed a Savage Orc general with the +3 attack sword. Almost feel like taking three of them. 6 Chaos Knights of Nurgle, 295 pts . . Ensorcelled Weapons . . Mark of Nurgle . . Standard; Musician . . Gleaming Pennant I've been taking a unit of 5 with musician and thus far they have been kind of disappointing. Was going to bump them up to 6 with Standard to see if they are more effective. Also, gleaming pennant isn't a bad way to spend 5 points as it allows them to operate on the far flanks easier. Rare 1 Chaos Giant of Nurgle, 215 pts . . Mark of Nurgle Really want to try this guy. With T6 Giants become, IMO, a whole lot more effective. Plus it gives another target for target saturation, or my general to hide behind on the first turn if the enemy has cannons. The last tournament an O&G player ran two and they ended up surprising a lot of people. Thanks for any thoughts. |

List looks good. I would drop knights for more chariots or another chimera. Also I would changes giant for hellcannon, even if u really wanna keep that thing, its still sucks :-/ Also would rethink bsb's build. I see u are going with nurgle but if u would give him tzeentch and put him on daemonic mount with talisman of preservation and third eye,u would get unkillable bsb with T5, W3 and with enchanted shield 1+/3++ re-rolling 1.
