I haven't posted in quite some time, mainly because my WoC army was on hiatus until the new Army Book. I'm back, and with a new direction.

I built this today:

My new Battle Standard Bearer of Tzeentch

I like it, however there's one thing I think could be atetmpted, if you dare, that would play further on the MoT idea; this guy's head is a fantastic start if you remove the horn on his left (the one on the right when looking at the pictures above) and replace it with a smaller one a bit further back, his head suddently turns into Tzeentch's symbol!

And where's that standard from? Horrors? The new chariot?

I'd consider the head change if he wasn't already glued together, thanks for the idea though!

The standard is from the plastic Pink Horrors kit. I cut the spear off right above the flare, and snipped the Icon off the staff right where it widens. It created a nice join, though its hard to see it in these pictures. The Icon pole was much thicker than the spear haft, but with the cuts I made, its hard to tell.

Nice use of that model, the regular pose really lends itself well to a BSB. I was planning on doing something similar for my foot BSB, but making a custom banner top and doing a head swap. At least that way it's not a straight up copy-paste. Remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Cool I did a khornate bsb a while ago using the same model. Swapped his sword round the other way used a horned helmet from chaos knights sprue. Made a banner pole from a 90's chaos knight standard bearer and made a banner from green stuff. It's a great model to do a bsb, trouble is now I'm gonna have to do a new chaos lord cos my bsb now looks better :S

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Luckily, my actual army leaders are all Sorcerers. I wont have to go building another combat Lord to compete with this awesome of the BSB.

I kind of want him to stand out more than my Sorcerers. He'll be front and center and getting all the attention hopefully.

Thanks! I am quite proud of this conversion.

I've not been able to do any priming due to weather or illness so it still remains unpainted. I hope to change this soon.

I'm going to be attempting my Bsb conversion using the same model. I'll post him on this website when I finish him up. I'm excited to build him. It's a great model!

Well done on your conversion.
