Thanks to all for commenting. @Mbh The way I did the metals is the following. 1. The cannon is primed in black. 2. Then I have a base coat made with leadbelcher+black 3. Then you need to add layers of wash to the metal, using the right colors And shading more intensely in the right areas. For instance, I used a swampy green for the metals near the bottom to simulate moss. And I used purple, blue and pink near the Skulls to simulate the light produced by the skulls. I use a home made wash, you only need a drop of paint of the color you want and about 10 drops of water. This kind of wash works very well on metals and can be customized to the exact tone you need. 4. After that you need to highlight the edges of metals using pure ledbelcher, runfang steel or even pure white depending on the intensity youre going for. It is actually simple you only need to bee patient and let each layer of wash dry before applying the next one. I hope this helps, I'll comment later about the skullls. Cheers |
