I was wondering about the Breath Weapon on the Daemon Prince, is it a one use only or can it be used multiple times?

I was thinking it can be used all the time but my buddy who I was playing was thinking it can only be used once!

Only once... it would be WAY TOO POWERFUL if you could use it multiple times.

Once only... If only it was more than once they would be truely OP. Imagine Galrauch's breath of change more than once per game ;)

some questions still

1) breath weapon can be only use while out of combat, right? eg. shooting phase
2) chimera / character can't use it while in combat but it can be used during challenge?

A breath weapon can be used either:

a) during the shooting phase, in which case you use the teardrop template to determine what it hits

b) in combat, in which case you roll 2D6 to determine the number of hits which are then distributed as per shooting on the target unit.

If used in a challenge, only the enemy character suffers the 2D6 hits as per (b) above.

The above is entirely true but I thought I'd add no matter how it is used it can only be used once. So for example should you use it as a combat attack for the 2D6 hits you can't then go onto use it as a shooting attack in your next shooting phase with the template. It's either A. Teardrop template during the shooting phase or B. 2D6 hits in combat, once you have used either of these it's been used and cannot be used again during the rest of the battle.

They could use it more times actually but as MasteroDistaster mentioned, it would be OPowered. If it had less Str however... *rolling eyes*

Thank you for answer. I assume that if i am using breath weapon with chimera in close combat i can still use 5 attacks + D3 from Fiend Tail + D6 Thunderstomp ?

The chimera actually has 6 attacks. Apart from that, yes.
