Welcome! What is it you need advice on, colours? technique? I like the way you're going with them. Also if you go to full reply screen you can put your pics in an [img] wrap and people won't have to link to an external site to see your pics :D |

I like the flesh on the ogres its very natural looking. One thing I would say is GET RID OF THOSE MOULD LINES! Doesnt take long and even though its a boring job it makes a huge difference :) The edge of a sharp modeling knife works great ;) Also a very very light wash of blue or purple around eyes and lips gives faces a nice touch. Not too much though or your ogres will look like there wearing makeup! Edited by Dirty Trickster, May 28 2013, 07:41 AM.

Sorry for the huge photos and bad lighting/focus I dont have a camera so use my phone. All the paints I use are from the games workshop citadel range. Hope this helps. First off I used a 1:1 mix of Fenrisian Grey and The Fang on a black undercoat [IMG]Posted Image image hosting[/IMG] Then I washed the area with a 1:1 Abbadon Black and Nuln oil [IMG]Posted Image online photo sharing[/IMG] After the wash was dry a heavy drybrush of pure Fenrisian Grey was used. I found with the chaos warrior model working right to left worked well. [IMG]Posted Image free image hosting[/IMG] Another drybrush with a 1:1 mix of Fenrisian Grey and Ulthuan Grey. Ill skip this pic and go onto the next which was a light final drybrush of Ulthhan Grey. [IMG]Posted Image To finish the fur off I highlighted the very tips and raised areas with White Scar. The final pic doesnt do it much justice sadly [IMG]Posted Image screen shot[/IMG] The recesses ended up a bit shiny. Probably a little more Abbadon Black in the wash would have fixed that :D Hope this helps mate :) DT |
