Warrior of the Chamber
Iron Curse Icon + Talism of Preservation + Third Eye + Soul Feeder+ Monstrous Beast

MoT Ogres /w GW

Iron guts with 5+ ward hell yes!

If you play lots of monsters Kholek will win you the game on hos own. If you play lots of deep ranks and warmachines he is big gift in VP's

You think Ogres are scared of Konrad, put kholek on the table and watch them poo bricks unti their two iron blasters pop him.

5++ against war machines only; there's a huge difference.

Yeah, Godless is right. That puny save won't do much, especially in combat, where you want to send badass ogre with GW...

I really think MoN or MoK is the way to go on ogres. MoK is great for the punching power, but with a mere Ld7, you should watch out for baiting tactics.

And considering you get 6 ogre with MoN, musician, banner, GW for 290 pts and 4 DO with halberd for 272 pts, they are not that much costly for their killing power. On the other hand, DO have I2, 4 Wo, 4+ armor, Ld 8...

Such hard choices...

The principle of avoiding special characters is exaggerated. Yes, some of them are very powerful but most of them aren't, and some are pathetic. Also, I think that in the current times there are many ways to deal with them.
