A few pages back in the Armylist section are lower army builds, in the 1000 to 1300 point range; I'd check them out if I were you. In doubles, I aim to have only one person field a wizard- Power Dice are hard to come by and it's best not to fight over them. ..So I like where you're going there! In team games, you can shift to one end of the spectrum while your partner shifts to another; he's going Magic and Ranged? go Melee; it's what we Warriors do best after all! You basically have two options as I see it: 1) Load up on cheap redirectors like hounds or the Marauder Horsemen (but don't mark 'em Khorne.. you want them to mess with your opponent's movement phase, not get into combat or start testing for Frenzy), which will serve to frustrate your opponent's movement phase with redirects and failed charges, letting your partner's bows pepper your opponent's units.. or 2) Get in for some close combat! I'd keep the Hounds, but suggest retooling more in favor of the second option. I'd try to get the Hero on the Juggarnaut for the extra attacks; he'll need to be in the front row of Juggers anyways. I'd drop the Marauder Horsemen and Knights; if you want a really fast list, I'd replace them with another Chariot and a Chimera. If you want a slower list, possibly more "tanky" to help out your partner, I'd relace the Horsemen and Chariot with a block of Warriors (Mark shouldn't matter too much), and the Knights with some Gorebeast or Chimera fun. Best of luck to you! |
