Here is my list for a 2k battle against my buddy who plays Wood Elves. He got me the Skullcrushers and DP for my birthday the last couple of years, and now that we both have our armies built, I want to showcase them.

My calculations put me at 1,999 points.

My pregame strategy is to deploy in a pincer-style. DP on the far right, warriors in the middle, SKullcrushers and Ex. Hero on the left, and warshrine behind the warriors and crushers for support. Dogs will die first round of shooting, but it will keep him away from my warriors.

Nothing in his army really scares me (Hail of Doom Arrow may pose a problem but I think I can avoid it hitting my DP), but I know his treekin can tarpit my skullcrushers, so I wanted to take that hero and the warbanner to win combat there aqap, and slam straight into his gushy archers.

I'll end up squaring my DP to his treeman and inevitably his Dryads will swarm me, but I don't think they will put much more than a wound on me per turn. Soul Feeder, Nurgle lore attribute, and the various spells the DP can cast will keep him propped up long enough to slam my warriors into his withered ranks.

I just played a game against WE (and won btw).

The key is catching them. WE tactics are all about avoiding CC because they really don't excell at it.

Your list may be a bit too slow for them. Their Asraii special rule makes they have no - modifier when moving and shooting. So they'll deploy in range of your troops and start pulling back.

Luckily they don't penetrate armour easily with their S3/S4 shooting.

You do have only 1 flier, so that may be a problem. The only unit fast enough to follow are the Skullcrushers. WE characters have access to a special bow that shoots magic bodkins, ignoring AS, the only defense of a SC (besides the nr of wounds).

I would try to get another flier in, like a chimaera (maybe leave out a unit of warriors and replace with a chariot, just to get your chore points).
