Chapter One: In Passing Three long weeks had passed since the icy hand of death and the painstaking blade of war swept Orange Star City. Since then the city has been a washed with sorrow and grievance, many lives were lost in the conflict. The Red Ribbon Army’s assault was far from meager, no citizen was able to walk away unscathed. The chaos and death leveled the spirits of the survivors and shook the confidence of humans worldwide. The army they thought had been vanquished, the evil they thought they’d never seen again struck like snake and its venom was of the worst kind. It burned the very hearts and souls of the citizens, but it also made them more aware, aware of two things. The first and probably the most obvious would be that the Red Ribbon Army was still out there, still planning, still growing. The second thing was that there are people out there who strive to fight the Red Ribbon Army, people with powers beyond that of reality. Though the people knew nothing of those who stood against the army on that day, some say that a young boy was involved in the resistance. A boy who went to the local high school, hell a few people claimed there was a second boy who aided in the fight, he was a graduate of Orange Star. These facts were two things that had power to lift the spirits of the survivors; to know that two Orange Star citizens were able to stand up to the army boosted their morale. If two kids were able to stand up the dreaded army why couldn’t they? Only within the last week since the event did the people of Orange Star start to rebuild only then they realized they needed to pull themselves from this darkness. No one would do it for them, no one would be able to lift their spirits by force. They needed to have that drive, they needed to generate that will by themselves. And so they did. The three heroes of Orange Star, Bardock, Damian Urakari and Gohan, all played their roles and after the conflict they grew closer. Bardock, being the grandfather of Gohan, began to visit Gohan at his home on a daily basis. Bardock met with Gohan’s mother, Chi-Chi, and he met his son, Kakarrot, who went by the name Goku. The meeting was a strange one to say the least, Chi-Chi was frantic about the idea of having another Saiyan in the house. Kakarrot on the other hand, well he loved the idea of meeting his father and learning from him. It was strange for Bardock to see his son in this setting, with a small family in some remote part of the world. Bardock always imagined his son a Saiyan Captain whose power exceeded that of any elite, to see him here like this was just so strange. But Bardock accepted it, things in this world were different, so much so that Kakarrot knew nothing of his father. While with his extended family Bardock learned much about the Earth and its people. He learned of its customs and how things were done, and boy was it different from the rules of planet Vegeta. But for whatever reason Bardock followed these traditions, these customs of the planet. In truth Bardock was enjoying his stay here on the sapphire gem of the universe, but he knew that it couldn’t last forever. Soon the reality traveling Saiyan would need to venture into the endless void of space, he would need to go to planet Vegeta and face whatever horrors plagued the ruby planet. The raven haired captain stood atop Kami’s lookout, he’d been here for the past two days. The Saiyan Captain knew there was something he needed to do before he left this planet, he need to master the Super Saiyan transformation. As it stood currently the strain the golden endowed form put on his body was immense, it prevented him from holding it for too long. So Bardock had come to Kami’s lookout seeking the Namekian’s help in the matter, Kami sure as hell wasn’t a Saiyan but his knowledge and experience in training was legendary. “So Kami, what’s next.” Bardock said as he looked out at the clouds that blanket the sky air below the lookout. “Well my friend, that is up to you, I know you wish to master your Super Saiyan form but you need to enjoy the time you have on this planet. Mastery will come do not force it.” Kami’s voice was filled with a sage’s wisdom. “Somehow I knew you’d say that.” Bardock said under his breath as he looked back at the dark green guardian. “I know you can help me Kami, you helped Damian Urakari.” Bardock turned around, bringing himself to face the guardian, “That half demon kid, with his transformation.” Bardock’s eyes narrowed. “Then I will tell you what I told him.” Kami said with a sigh, “The power will come in response to a need, not a desire. When you’re ready you will know, why don’t you go somewhere with Gohan and your other grandson, Goten.” Kami suggested. Bardock shook his head at the mention of Goten’s name. Goten was Kakarrot’s second son, Bardock’s youngest grandchild. Bardock didn’t exactly not like the boy, but he wasn’t Bardock’s favorite person in the world. Nevertheless he was blood and that made him important to Bardock. “Tch, fine, I see you don’t intend to help me.” Bardock started to take flight, his body defying the laws of gravity. “In time you will learn my friend.” Kami said with a sigh. The raven haired captain blasted off into the distance, his azure aura trailed behind him, it was the only evidence of his presence. Deep down Bardock knew Kami was right, but he didn’t want to admit it. Bardock couldn’t force this, he would need to practice bit by bit like he had been. If he really wished to gain mastery he would need to learn to teach another how to tap into their power. Through teaching another Bardock himself would be able to unravel the mystery of the Super Saiyan transformation. “That’s it, I can teach Gohan!” Bardock snapped his fingers as the idea came to him, “But, I think he’s going out with some friends today….Damn it.” Bardock angrily punched the air, “Oh well, will have to save it for another time, maybe I should still go and see what the kid is doing, I think he said he was going to West City.” Bardock said as he brought his hand to his chin, “In any case, if he’s not there I’ll pop in on Damian.” Bardock said laughing as he changed course, he was heading towards West City! ============ Post Word Count: 1,316 Total: 1,316/7,500 |

Chapter One: Head Towards West City The last three weeks had been quite an eye opener for the Saiyan who was raised on Earth; Goku had finally met Bardock the man who was his father. The Saiyan rarely ever wondered about his real parents and family and was under the assumption they were evil and corrupted like the other Saiyans he had encountered over the years. All though the older Saiyan had not spent one month yet on Earth, he had already thought Goku a lot about his Saiyan heritage and where he had come from. The information was interesting to say the least to know he possibly has another brother out there if that timeline was close enough to the current timeline dimension they were in. Goku however was mainly intrigued by the transformation which was dubbed the “Super Saiyan”. Goku had never witnessed a power that incredible and mind boggling in his life. Bardock had admitted he never once met another Saiyan who had ascended but he sure it was quite possible to learn and be trained into it, rather than being born with the power knowing he wasn’t. The raven haired Saiyan Goku almost doubled his daily training habits and was now working extra to try and reach his new goal. The cool summer breeze brushed against the face of Goku as he slipped on his orange GI and began to lace up his boots tying them quicker than anyone could ever imagine as he took a seat at the kitchen table where Chi Chi was loading up the counter up with food. The amount of food that Goku’s wife had to cook on a daily basis was unbelievable but Saiyans ate like their stomachs were bottomless pits and she had four of them to feed. “Where are the kids?” Goku asked his wife as he grabbed a fork and knife and began to devour the pancake and bacon meal that was posed in front of him. Any normal person would be amazed at how much food Goku was eating so quickly however the Saiyans wife was unfazed and adjusted to a Saiyans eating habits. “Goten and Goshin are went out somewhere and Gigi is hanging some cloths up for me outside on the line….. You’re the last one to eat which surprises me” Chi Chi spoke as she began to wash some of the dishes which stacked up high inside the sink. “And my father?” Goku asked as he rubbed his head and walked towards the door. “Haven’t seen him for the day” The housewife replied as she kept doing what she was doing. Goku quickly exited the small mountain side house as he was ready to head towards Kami’s lookout and get some training done knowing his father was most likely there already working and trying to master his transformation. Never in Goku’s life had he met someone who rivaled his training ethics. The raven haired Saiyan ascended into the air as he was ready to leave. “Aye… Daddy wait!!!” Goku floating in midair turned around and saw his daughter Gigi flying and racing behind him. Gigi was Goku’s second oldest child out of the three and was a daddy’s girl to say the least. “Where are you going?” The hybrid female inquired as the two began flying slowly together side to side as they elevated into the skies. “Going to head out towards Kami’s lookout” Goku responded. “Let’s stop in t West City, I need to pick something up for mom” The girl responded as Goku just nodded in agreement as he smiled with both of them taking off. Chapter Two: A Pact Between Comrades Damian Urakari, the second warrior who had been present during the hellish assault on West City could be found in a gravity chamber aboard a Kusanagi Corporation space cruiser. Damian had been training here for the past two weeks, Bardock’s words during his Red Ribbon event convinced Damian he needed to get stronger, that he needed more power. Damian had been training his mind as well as his body, for that moment of paralyzing terror in the eyes of defeat still played back in his mind. For someone who was feared as the Akki Ryuuza, this scene that very moment of his life was probably the most shameful. The fact he’d cracked under the pressure was something he would be forced to live with forever. Though one major question that formulated in the half demon’s mind was, why was he scared? It wasn’t like he had never been in such a situation before where he’d been outmatched by an opponent. Could it have been the fact Sigma-Three lacked a soul? The fact he was just lights and clock work? Well whatever the answer was Damian planned to never allow such a fear to grip him again. The carrot topped eighteen year old released a sigh as he sat took a seat on the cracked tile floor of the cruiser’s gravity chamber. Damian had been here for the past hour, he hadn’t been doing any intense training like usual, instead he’d been subjecting himself to fifty times Earth’s gravity! This was an insane task to say the least, but it was what Damian needed to grow stronger for his body was no longer affected by anything less than that. Any normal human would’ve been crushed, their body would’ve been unable to handle the insane pressure. Of course Damian was far from normal, being the Akki Ryuuza and all. “Still not good enough.” Damian said as he looked towards the ceiling. The door leading to the gravity slid open and a young silver haired girl by the name of Tomoyo stepped inside the gravity chamber, thankfully for her the gravity was set to normal otherwise she’d be crushed. “Damian, you’d better come outside Bardock is here, I guess there’s something he wants to ask you.” Tomoyo said as he motioned towards the entry way. Damian slowly stood up, why would Bardock want to see him? The raven haired Saiyan got along sure, but Damian didn’t believe himself to be on equal standing with the Saiyan. Bardock did call Damian a coward after all. “Alright, tell him I am on my way.” Damian said with a sigh as he stretched his arms and cracked his neck. Tomoyo nodded and took her leave, now Damian was left alone in the gravity chamber once again. The carrot topped teen looked down at his hands and released a sigh, his confidence had dwindled since that day three weeks ago. Damian took a deep breath, he letting the tension filled air fill his lungs. Damian closed his eyes and rolled his hands into fists, a black aura began to form around Damian’s body. The aura began to roll of his body his body and rise like weak flames, the dark aura became lined with a crimson energy now it looked like it did during his battle with Sigma-Three. I have to get back to the way I was, maybe it’s time me and Daemon speak again. Damian was referring to the key to his demon power, his other self that had traversed time and space to get here. If it weren’t for Daemon, Damian wouldn’t be as strong as he was today, if it wasn’t for him Damian wouldn’t even know about his powers. Damian looked away from his clenched fists and headed towards the entry way, it was time for him to meet up with Bardock and find out just what the Saiyan Captain wanted. The raven haired captain sat on the lone bench within the corporation hanger. Bardock looked on at the massive ship, he’d never seen such a glorious creation before not even Saiyan technology could match it. To think humans had intellect to create just a grand space cruiser, Bardock was thoroughly impressed. This should be the perfect vessel for Bardock to travel to Vegeta in. “So Bardock what did you call me out here for.” Damian said as he stepped off the ship’s loading ramp. “Heh, I see you’ve got a little bit of your backbone back, I can see it in your eyes and hear it in your voice.” Bardock said as he stood up and paced towards his carrot topped comrade. “What did ya expect?” Damian asked shaking his head and smiling. “Well, guess I should get right to the point about why I’m here.” Bardock said as he crossed his arms. “I know you’re pretty adept with your transformation, the masked one I mean.” Bardock began, “I want you to show me what it took to attain such mastery over your transformed state, for I myself am trying to get more adept at using my transformation.” Bardock explained. Damian stared at Bardock, a stunned expression formed on the son of Nagato’s face. Here Bardock, one of the most powerful warrior in the entire universe was asking him, Damian the coward for help. This was an interesting situation, one that Damian wasn’t expecting to be placed in. Maybe through teaching Bardock I can pick up a few things Kami and Daemon couldn’t teach me. “Alright, I will do what I can, but in return I want you to teach me your fighting style, I’m determined to grow stronger.” Damian said as his expression came serious, It was evident he truly wished to grow as a fighter. “Interesting proposal, but I agree, it’s been awhile since I’ve taught someone.” Bardock said with a grin. Soon Damian’s ultimate training would begin and soon Bardock would attain mastery over the most powerful transformation in Saiyan history. =========== Post Word Count: 999 Total: 2,135 / 7,500 The Ship: Spoiler: click to toggle
