Chapter One: Meditation -1- A Life Unknown Two long weeks had gone by since Gohan had awakened the power of an Ascended Super Saiyan, and since then he’d been doing nothing but mentally training himself. The voice that had spoken to him during the battle with Kontar left a mark on the son of Kakarot. Knowing that there was something out there he needed to protect above all else sort of worried him, as he didn’t know of anyone who needed him that badly. The Saiyan barely knew his mother and had no desire to know her. His father was a Saiyan and enjoyed combat just as much as Gohan did, and his crew was already dead. The people of Namek, peaceful as they may’ve been, weren’t simple pushovers; they knew how to defend themselves when it came down to it. Sadly since then the voice hadn’t reached out to him. For the past two weeks it felt as if Gohan was simply chasing after a phantom created by his desperate mind. “Do you think he’ll ever solve the mystery?” One of Argo’s companions questioned as they watched Gohan mediate on the plateau. Argo was the one who suggested Gohan meditate and attempt to delve into the world of his mind, but he didn’t expect the hybrid to have this much trouble locating his inner self. Like many mystics Argo had a keen sense of the supernatural and the oddities of the universe. Gohan may not have been able to sense it, but Argo knew what was going on. Someone very close to the hybrid had taken refuge within his soul. The seeds of good that had been planted in the young Saiyan were more profound than Gohan himself could realize. The shift in his emotions and his outlook on the universe didn’t just change without reason. There was another part of him who’d come to know the other side of spectrum. “Yes, just give him sometime my friend. Gohan needs this, he’s conflicted by his own heart.” Argo said as he turned his back on the meditating Saiyan. “Once he’s truly ready that other part of himself will come forth and he’ll be able to realize his own potential.” The elder said as he wandered back to the village, with his aid in tow. Gohan’s eyes slowly peeled open as a long and drawn out breath escaped him. The boy’s routine meditation hadn’t been fruitless; the calm that had taken root in his mind, body and soul was exceptionally beneficial. Gohan’s seemingly eternal hatred for Aisu was more or less under control. Gohan also came to understand his Super Saiyan transformations a bit better and was able to draw upon the Ascended Super Saiyan transformation without much mental, or even physical, stress. In some respects by training his mind Gohan had become much stronger physically. More than he could have if he were to train by throwing around punches and kicks. Before coming to Namek meditation felt so beneath the Saiyan, but now it was his favorite style of training. This place truly was one of reinvention. Abandoning Titan’s army to travel with the Cursed Legion was the best decision the son of Goku could have made. “I still have a long way to go…” Gohan said to himself as he climbed to his feet, his raven eyes overlooked the calm sea before him. Despite being fifteen Gohan had wisdom well beyond his years. His mind and soul had been forged in the fires of battle and mayhem. He had no choice but to mature faster than his physical self could. Immaturity and stupidity would lead to a rather unpleasant and painful end. Gohan had seen that happen countless times on countless missions. Those who were fools died first. Gohan was determined to be anything but a fool, knowledge was a power that could never be overvalued or underestimated. If the Saiyan wanted to stand up to a being such as Aisu he would need to have a mental fortitude that surpassed all expectations. Even though every thought Gohan had was no longer about killing Aisu that didn’t mean he didn’t want to destroy the rogue Icer. However, now Gohan didn’t want to kill him just for revenge, now he wanted to do it in order to defend the lives of others. The longer Aisu lived the more war and bloodshed would be brought to the undeserving and the unsuspecting. No warrior should have to endure the hardship and strife Gohan had been forced to endure. “I should probably begin my hunt for the next Dragonball. I’ve rested for long enough.” The hybrid said to himself as he turned away from the soothing sea. “I should ask Argo if he knows the location of the next Dragonball. I’m sure he won’t mind me helping the legion finish their job.” Gohan scratched his chin as he considered the dynamics. Oddly the Saiyan was already starting to think of himself as separate from the Cursed Legion. “Ah, Gohan I see you’ve taken a break from training your mind.” Argo said to Gohan as the Saiyan came within earshot. “I assume you’ve decided to resume your search for the Dragonballs.” The elder continued. The Saiyan nodded, “Yes I should continue gathering the rest of them.” “Of course, perhaps this quest is what you’ll need to breakthrough and find that other side of yourself.” Argo mused as he scratched his wrinkled chin. “The Two Star Dragonball is located in the ruins of an ancient site that was once home to the now banished Super Nameks. Navigating the ruins will be anything but easy.” Argo said as he placed his hand upon the young hybrid’s shoulder. A reassuring smile crossed the Namekian’s face as his yellow eyes met with Gohan’s raven spheres. “I will be careful Argo, but if you think traveling to the ruins will help me figure things out I’ll take the challenge without question.” Gohan was quite confident in his abilities, especially since his ascension. “Very well. We will be waiting for your return.” Argo said as he stepped away from Gohan. “See you then.” With that Gohan took to the skies, his aura burned around his body as he tore through the emerald heavens. CHAPTER ONE Next Level Unlike most planets, Namek was exposed to three different suns, meaning one was always in the sky even if the others already set. This phenomena made night time, something Daikon was accustomed to back on planet Vegeta, completely impossible. It was hard for him to tell exactly how long it had been since he had arrived on Namek however he knew it had to have been longer than a week. The Saiyan's sleeping patterns were all messed up, causing him to lose out on a lot of precious resting time. Instead, when he wasn't busy searching for the Dragonballs, he spent his time training endlessly. Ever since his battle with the revived Super Namek, Lord Mako and his long awaited ascension, Daikon used countless hours attempting to master his transformation of legends into a Super Saiyan. He had finally reached the milestone and goal of every Saiyan warrior. Daikon was now apart of history, well on his way to becoming the strongest being in the universe. The general stood alone on a cliff's edge, silent and completely still, staring into the green sky of the foreign planet. Despite reaching a new level, Daikon knew that he could push it further. He could feel it deep in his bones that there was a level beyond Super Saiyan that he just had to reach. He hadn't seen it first hand but he knew that Titan was able to reach the level of Super Saiyan as well and if he ever hoped to fulfill his dreams of destroying Titan and his empire in order to take the throne himself, he would have to surpass the current King and that meant taking his newly acquired transformation to the next level by any means necessary. He clinched his fists, readied his stance before beginning to call upon the legendary power of his Saiyan ancestry. The white clouds floating in the emerald vastness of Namek began to swirl, reacting to Daikon's increasing power level. The ground beneath him shook as if a massive earthquake rocked the world before eventually crumbling the cliff in which Daikon stood. The Saiyan floated in the air, unmoved as the mountain of a structure turned to rubble on the ground below, falling victim to the generals overwhelming strength. Despite the three solar sources of energy, the sky around the Saiyan began to get dark, as if each sun on the planet decided to set at the same time. Daikon's naturally raven colored hair began to flash gold, spiking upward as it did so. His once dark colored eyes were now a greenish-blue, another trademark of the Super Saiyan. A golden aura also erupted around his entire body, a display of his newly acquired gifts as a Super Saiyan. Any being with any sort of ki sensing skills would be able to feel the general's terrifying power as well as immediately sensing the evil within the heart of the Saiyan warrior. A loud vocal display of might ensued as Daikon finished his transformation. The golden haired warrior was still disapointed at the strain his body had to endure in order to take his new form as well as the time it took. In battle he may not be granted the time it takes to transform, he would need to find a way to make his transformation easier to perform so that he could show his true strength at any moment of a battle. "Yes, I can feel it... I know I can take this form to even higher heights... but how?" Daikon said to himself before powering dowm, losing his golden aura and hair. "Gohan...!" He said as he saw his scouter react to a distant power level flying near by, not necessarily coming towards his location but close enough to where he can cut the young boy off. Daikon hadn't spoken to the young Saiyan since the Cursed Legion's arrival on Planet Namek. The general figured now was the perfect time to see if the son of Kakkarot had done his duty and begun collecting the Dragonballs and also to find out if Gohan too had unlocked the secrets of achieving the abilities of a Super Saiyan. In fact, the general wasn't quite sure if a hybrid like Gohan was even able to transform into a super Saiyan however he knew that if any hybrid had done it, it would be Gohan. With anymore hesitation, Daikon flew off into the distance, chasing behind Gohan. With the four star dragon ball Peach's possession the Saiyan general had time to relax and work on other things besides searching for another Dragonball however if Gohan happened to be looking for one, he didn't mind helping the lad. These Nameks have proven to be stronger than anticipated anyway, the hybrid Saiyan made need Daikon's help whether he'd admit to it or not. Chapter One: Meditation -2- Preparation While Gohan tore through the heavens on his way to the ancient ruins, Aisu continued to survey the situation. The rogue Icer was overly pleased with Gohan’s growth; he’d successfully ascended beyond a Super Saiyan and had mastered his emotions. Gohan was no longer driven purely by rage and hatred, a clash between the two would no longer be a wild frenzy void class and finesse. The son of Kakarot had become more suited to true combat, his heart had hardened and his battle instincts had been fine tuned. However, despite Gohan’s immense growth mentally and physically, now was not the time for Aisu to face the son of Kakarot. In fact Gohan still needed to be tested, namely in the area of his loyalties. The Icer had been keeping tabs on the movements of The Cursed Legion, and they were clearly a threat to all that Aisu desired to make his. As long as Gohan was a member of their ranks there was much for Aisu to contend with. If it hadn’t been for the Legion’s presence on the planet Aisu would’ve already laid waste the emerald sphere and taken the Dragonballs for himself. “Lord Aisu!” One of the Icer’s attendants exclaimed as he entered the Icer’s chambers. “We’ve found the location of one of the Dragonballs, however it appears Gohan is already en route to its location.” The attendant said as he turned on the monitor mounted on one of the chamber walls. Aisu eyed the attendant for a moment, he didn’t exactly approve of his attendant’s desire to come waltzing in like he owned the place. However, the Icer allowed the alien’s actions to go unpunished and unmentioned. The Dragonballs were far more important at this point, but the next time the alien overstepped his bounds death would take him to the other side. Aisu’s attention shifted toward the monitor, he could see Gohan tearing through the Namekian skies. The sight of the young Saiyan brought a sadistic grin to the Icer’s face. Even though Aisu knew he had to restrain himself for now, he desired nothing more than to test his strength against Gohan’s own. “Gohan is currently twenty minutes from the ruins located here.” The advisor said as the image quickly transition to the aforementioned ruins. “Within the heart of this ancient city is one of the Dragonballs. We can’t be sure if there’s anything, or anyone, defending it. However we could send a recon team to the site in order to get the Dragonball before Gohan has the opportunity.” The advisor suggested as he brought up the information on the prospective recon team. The five soldiers were all top class, with battle powers rivaling the deceased General Salvia. Aisu scratched his chin as he read their statistics carefully. “Gohan was able to crush both Kontar and Salvia, do you think these five will be able to survive a confrontation with one of Gohan’s strength and keep the Dragonball safe?” The Icer’s question leaned to being a rhetorical one. The advisor paused as he tried to decide if he should answer his lord’s question or not. “No, a direct confrontation with Gohan would lead to their demise.” The alien said with a shrug. “However, they’d have enough time to transport the Dragonball to our outpost on the planet below. So even in death they’ll be able to push our agenda forward.” The advisor explained as he brought up an image of the outpost. “Until we are able to send our more powerful warriors to the planet’s surface I can only suggest that we get the job done this way.” The attendant explained. Aisu let a laugh escape him as he leaned back in his armchair. “Korvak, you really have an analytical mind. You’re ability to plan and think ahead is exactly why I keep you around.” The Icer’s laughter grew louder. “Very well assemble the recon team. I want them to depart immediately!” Aisu commanded as he got up from his chair. “Understood Lord Aisu.” Korvak bowed as he submitted to his master’s will. Korvak couldn’t help but to take pride in his skills as they were clearly valued by Aisu. He, like many others, knew that if it wasn’t for his tactical prowess he wouldn’t be here today. In terms of physical power Korvak didn’t have any; he could barely even be considered a low class warrior. All his power and skill were found in his brain, only Aisu had a greater brain than Korvak. “Now then Gohan, let’s see how you handle having my hand in your plans.” Aisu grinned as the monitor returned to the soaring hybrid. One could say that Aisu had an unhealthy obsession with the son of Kakarot. Back on the surface of Namek Daikon continued to close the distance between himself and Gohan. The two Saiyans hadn’t actually spoken in months, it wasn’t that Gohan was avoiding the Saiyan General, it was just he had nothing to discuss. Daikon was a tougher, more violent, breed of Saiyan. At times Gohan questioned whether Daikon was more devious and vile than the great Majin Buu. Even now Gohan wondered how he would interact with his supposed comrades. They were clearly starting to diverge from one another. If Gohan hadn’t been as powerful as he was, there was no doubt in his mind that the other members of Legion would’ve attempted to kill him. However, for now they needed him. Killing him would’ve been beyond foolish. The one I must protect above all else huh? Gohan thought back to the words spoken by the disembodied voice. Tch, this is going to bother me for way too long. The hybrid thought as he continued on his path, he’d yet to notice Daikon’s approach. Since taking up his new attire Gohan had ceased carrying his scouter around. Now he was relying purely on his senses and intuition. "So this thing has the power to grant wishes huh?" Peach said as she held the Dragonball up to her face, staring at herself in its reflection. The Saiyan sisters were left to guard the Dragonball back at the Cursed Legion's headquarters while Daikon went out training. The general didn't want his subordinates getting in his way while he was testing his limitations as a Super Saiyan. "Yup, that's what Daikon said alright" Cre responded. "Well, it doesn't look so special to me" "You better stop playing with it before Damien and his crew gets here and catches you" Cre' warned. "You're right..." Peach said before placing the Dragonball back in a large glass container that looked to be especially made to hold the Dragonballs. Peach was beyond bored as she went to sit down beside her sister on a nice comfy couch in the Dragonalls holding room. She crossed her arms before blowing her own hair out of her face. "I hope Daikon comes back soon" The General continued to follow the young son of Kakarot, still going unnoticed to the fifteen year old Saiyan. At the speed he was traveling and the amount of ki he needed to use in order to catch up to Gohan, it would be only a matter of time until the he was sensed. He wasn't attempting to sneak up on his comrade so he had nothing to worry about once he caught up and neither did Gohan. "I wonder how far along Gohan is now.." Daikon said to himself. Since their time on Vegeta, Gohan was known across the planet as a young Saiyan with incredible potential. He was always thought to have a hidden strength deep within himself that would rise up in his time of need. At only age fifteen, Gohan had the strength of a warrior twice his age with twice his experience. Even for a teenager the kid wise well beyond his years. His speech that rallied the troops back during the battle for Planet Frost was only the most recent example of his wisdom, intelligence and pull over his fellow Saiyans. It was said that his natural talent and abilities were a result of his birth, being the child of both a Saiyan and a Human. The rare hybrid of two very different races seemed to cause the perfect warrior, at least, that was the rumor. Daikon himself wasn't so sure. He couldn't argue Gohan's power, hell, the young boy seemed to have actually surpassed the general. But Daikon wasn't ready to say that a Hybrid Saiyan was a more adept race than the full breed. The burning red aura of the Saiyan general exploded around him as he sped through the emerald skies of Namek. Just thinking about the opportunity to compare his new found power to the young prodigy that was Son Gohan, excited Daikon. So much so that he allowed his ki to rise, displayed by the crumbling of mountain structures as he flew past them. Soon he was able to see Gohan's aura in the distance, still traveling to his destination. Daikon decided to really put the petal to the metal seeing his target so close. It wasn't long before he caught Gohan's attention and the young warrior stopped to greet the the General. "Ah, I finally caught up to you" Daikon, being much taller and bigger than Gohan, looked down and the teen, not smiling but still somewhat pleased to see the matured Saiyan. He was a little surprised to see the Saiyan wearing something other than the normal Saiyan battle suit but wasn't completely surprised as Gohan was always a bit different than the rest of their race. "Daikon... what a surprise, Is there something you need?" Gohan questioned with a friendly yet confident tone. Unlike most of Daikon's fellow Saiyans, the son of Kakarot felt no need to speak with high respect of the general, for in his eyes he was Daikon equal if not superior due to the confidence in his own strength. The general had no choice to respect that for the simple reason that they were on equal terms as equals in the Cursed Legion ranks. "No, no... I picked you up on my scouter and decided i'd come see, its been a long time, Gohan. I assume in route to another Dragonball? Let me aid you in your search, these Namekians are a crafty race" WC: 739 TWC: 1541/10,000 |

Chapter One: Meditation -3- Team Up [ident]The arrival of the Saiyan General perturbed the son of Kakarot slightly. The tone of Daikon’s voice and the malign aura that permeated his being was still a strong feature of his. Something about the way Daikon referred to the emerald warriors bothered the hybrid. However, Gohan held his tongue, for now Daikon’s ignorance had to be tolerated. The two were allies after all. The goals of The Cursed Legion superseded Gohan’s new found conscious and desire to sow good will on this planet. For now the Saiyan simply needed to stomach everyone’s arrogance and press onward. Gohan could feel the impending change in his very gut, he simply had to wait things out as they’d work out in everyone’s favor soon enough. “Yes I’ve been told of a Dragonball located in the ruins not too far from here.” Gohan said as he pointed toward the southern horizon. “I am not sure who, or what, we’ll find exactly but I wouldn’t be surprised if we run into a Super Namek or two. Apparently the ruins are from that era and with the number of mystics I’ve seen on this planet, I wouldn’t be surprised if we run into some off of the wall stuff.” Gohan explained as he folded his arms over his chest. The hybrid failed to mention that he’d been staying in a local village; he didn’t want Daikon to think he’d grown soft since coming to Namek. Albeit, one could argue that Gohan had indeed grown soft. Especially since the hybrid was living in a Namekian village. “Well then, lead the way Gohan.” Daikon motioned for his comrade to take off. With a nod Gohan turned away from Daikon and let his aura explode around his body. Not trying to show off too much Gohan kept the winds that spiraled around his form to an intense gust, rather than the usual raging tempest. The young Saiyan blasted off as his sapphire aura trailed behind him like jet exhaust. The feel of the air around him bending and caressing his form was glorious. Flight was something the hybrid would never take for granted. The Ascended Super Saiyan in hiding looked back to find that Daikon was keeping up with him. Part of him wanted to pick up the pace just to see if the Saiyan General had enough in him to keep up, but his conscious prevented him from instigating Daikon’s potential jealously. No Saiyan would appreciate being shown up by a mere child, especially one who was half-human. Still Gohan found the idea slightly amusing. While Gohan and Daikon hurried to the ruins Aisu’s recon squad was on the move. The squadron’s ship had touched down just outside the ruins; its cloaking device had already been engaged. The squad of five exited their vessel cautiously, they were uneasy about coming to the emerald planet. Not a single one of them knew what they’d find in these ancient ruins. However, as a reconnaissance squad they were trained to deal with the unknown and their own uncertainties. Courage and bravery were supposed to be their greatest and most profound features. Still, when the supernatural was involved the squad had trouble mustering and solidifying that courage and bravado they boasted back at the base. “Alright it doesn’t look like our enemy has arrived yet.” The squad leader said as he and his four subordinates filed out from the ship. “If he continues at this speed we’ll have about a ten minute head start.” The alien said as he pressed button on his blue tinted scouter. Figures danced across the display screen as he continued to press the main button. “Shit…” The alien said as he removed his finger from the button. “It looks like there will be two people joining us, both of them are pretty strong. We’ll need to act fast.” The leader said as he turned toward his subordinates. All of them lacked expressions of confidence. Everyone here knew of Gohan’s feats, they’d heard how he’d taken down both General Salvia and the mercenary Kontar. Both were once great assets to Aisu’s army and were well respected and now they were both dead. “Captain Bark, don’t you think this mission could get a little out of hand?” The newest member of the squad questioned. “Ugh, don’t be stupid. We were handed this mission by advisor Korvak himself. We cannot fail him. Let’s just get moving else we’ll be killed. Standing around here panicking all day will do nothing.” Bark retorted as he turned away from his men. Even though Bark himself was uneasy about the mission he was disgusted by his subordinate’s blatant cowardice. “Now then let’s get moving!” Bark commanded as he ventured into the cavern leading toward the underground ruins. The island’s plant life had consumed most of what resided above ground, transforming it almost entirely into a grassy knoll. “You’re such an idiot rookie.” One of the recon soldiers said as he brushed passed the worried greenhorn. “Tch, even if you feel fear you cannot voice it else you’ll be killed when you get back to base. Master Aisu doesn’t tolerate fear and incompetence.” Another soldier barked as she urged the rookie to follow the rest of the squadron. “Yes, understood Sheva.” The rookie relented as he followed the soldiers in front of him. As the recon squad moved through the near pitch black cavern a bone chilling howl bounced off the walls. Sickening pits formed in each of their stomachs, no matter the courage they tried to force out of themselves, the pit only grew deeper. Something dark and malign resided within the depths of these ruins that much was certain. If it hadn’t been for their directive they would’ve turned tail and ran; however running would only bring them to face Master Aisu. In the end death was waiting for them no matter what route they chose. "Tch.." The five star general increased his speed a little until he was evenly matched with Gohan. Even though he knew not exactly where they were headed, Daikon could tell the general direction the location was in so he didn't need to necessarily trail behind the young Saiyan to their destination. He was a little surprised to hear that a dragonball was been hidden in some old Namekian ruins when he was told by one of the natives that they all would be a located in one of the village protected by one of the elders. Daikon was now positive that he could not trust any of the data he managed to pull from any Namek he interogated. The two Saiyans, both once admired members of Titan's army, sped towards the ruins. The sapphire aura of Gohan and the Ruby aura Daikon contrasted greatly while oddly complimenting one another as they traveled together. Daikon couldn't help but wonder about the son of Kakkarot, he had seemed to have changed a bit. The cold tone in which he used to speak with was suddenly a little warmer. It was still obvious that the Saiyan blood dominated Gohan's soul however Daikon could sense that his comrade was beginning to get to know his human side. Whether this would turn out to be a curse or blessing for the hybrid Saiyan was to be seen, however, as of this moment, Daikon wasn't concerned with the change. Meanwhile, as Daikon and Gohan got closer and closer to the ruins, a recon team foriegn to the general gathered at the destination. The group of five warriors all garbed in Saiyan armor, equipped with scouters and the knowledge of how to efficiently complete a rekon mission. They traveled through the carven together in a formation designed to have a set of eyes in every direction. It was flawless just as it needed to be as they all felt a presence watching them was they traveled. "Quick, everyone turn on your flashlights!" Captain Bark demanded, referring to the light built in to each one of their scouters. This made the carvern extremely easier to travel through as they now could see where they were going and where they've been. Their minds were sat at ease a little as they looked around and didn't see anything that could have made the howling sound from earlier however, they were certain that it was still out there. "You guys see anything?" A veteran of member of Aisu's followers, Flapper, questioned the rest of the team. The carven was wet inside, showing signs there may be a stream of water flowing through every once in a while. Other than that there was no significant happenings inside the cavern noticable to the team. Soon they will come across the enterance to the ancient Namekian ruins where the Dragonball is said be be homed. "No, just a bunch of bugs" another member of the recon team, Blial, said. Back in the skies of Planet Namek, the two Saiyans continued to fly through the air at steady yet very fast pace. Daikon couldn't help but find himself staring at Gohan. It was all in the young hybrid's eyes. He was more than just confident and determined, Daikon could tell from the look in his comrades eyes that he had finally unlocked that hidden power Titan, Daikon and most of all the other high ranked officials knew he had deep within him. "I can tell you've achieved it, Gohan, the level of legends, the form of a true Saiyan warrior... You've become a Super Saiyan haven't you? To think, someone so young has achieved such greatness... I can't say i'm surprised, no one should be, really. The Son of that low class warrior, Kakarot, becoming a child of prophecy, a prodigy... we all knew that this day would come, you've proven to be something special since the day you arrived on Planet Vegeta and you've finally achieved the greatness to signify it" Daikon stated, going into an unplanned ramble. "However, you're not the only one whose achieved greatness..." He grinned, turning his head away from Gohan and back forwards to where he was going before laughing out loud. "Is that so...? hm" Gohan replied, cockily" The hybrid always came off as a very confident kid to the general however this confidence was something more. Maybe becoming a Super Saiyan wasn't the teens real secret, maybe there was more. "hmph" Daikon ended his laughter as he wondered why his comrade was still so confident and not impressed with the general's feat. Could it be that the hybrid had gone as far as to surpass the level of a Super Saiyan? Did he ascend even further, a goal Daikon was currently working towards? The general was positive the answer to his questions was yes. It slightly irritated the massive Saiyan to think that Gohan had once again moved one step ahead of him. It was a blow to the ego that Daikon looked to rectify the first chance he got. "Its just up ahead here" Gohan Said as he Carven began to come into their view. WC: 861 TWC: 2402 |

Chapter Two: Into The Depths -1- Danger At Every Turn Gohan let his aura die down as he slowed to a halt above the site. The son of Kakarot made a soft landing just outside the cavern entrance. It oozed a dark aura that was practically visible to the naked eye. The mystic energy that permeated the area sent a shiver down Gohan’s spine, whatever rested beyond this point would challenge both Saiyans mentally and physically. However, instead of turning tail and abandoning the Dragonball a sense of excitement flowed through the hybrid. The supernatural essence that permeated the planet’s flesh always intrigued the son of Kakarot. At times he could feel it flowing through his very veins. The human aspect of his genes resonated with the supernatural and the unseen. Gohan’s very soul acted as gateway for that which shouldn’t be seen or be known to mortals. In some respects the hybrid was a walking enigma, his true purpose veiled in the shadow of secrecy. “Well then Daikon, should we go in?” Gohan questioned the general as he touched down beside him. Something of a cocky grin had spread across Gohan’s face. The hybrid had ascended beyond a Super Saiyan and achieved a level of power that Daikon could only dream of. Knowing that he was so far ahead of the esteemed general pleased him. Since the battle on Frost’s conclusion there had been something of an unspoken rivalry between the two warriors. Both strove to become stronger than the other and to eventually become the universe’s strongest. Soon their secret rivalry would be brought out into the light. Only the great creator would be able to stop them from decimating whatever lands became their battleground. “You can lead the way.” Daikon said with a bit of disdain in his voice. Gohan’s cocky attitude rubbed the general the wrong way to say the least. While it was true that Gohan had every right to behave that way, Daikon wasn’t a fan of such smug behavior. Not from someone who wasn’t even a full-blooded Saiyan. Still the general had no choice but to stomach it. He and Gohan were after the same thing and fought under the same banner. Betraying Gohan meant betraying The Cursed Legion. The alliance had brought both of them a great deal of prestige and power, abandoning that now would lead only to their own demise. So for now Gohan had a pass. While Gohan and Daikon stepped into the dark cavern, Captain Bark and his men continued to delve into its mysterious depths. None of their scouters alerted them to danger; however their God given sixth sense warned them of something lurking in the shadows. They hoped grouping by the stream would give them a better understanding of their surroundings. However, little did the squad know they were drawing closer to their own death. A death that would be anything but quick and clean, not a single creature that resided here knew of mercy. “Ah it seems we’ve found part of what we’ve been looking for.” Captain Bark directed everyone’s attention toward the well-lit opening before them. Luminous gem stones reflected light from the ceiling, revealing a rather large underground lake. The stream that Bark and the others had heard earlier fed into the surprisingly large lake. The water was peaceful and soothing to the eye, but beneath its depths lurked something from one’s greatest nightmares. “How do we get past this?” The rookie asked as he scratched the side of his face. “We’ll have to fly over the lake.” Sheva said as she pointed toward and outlet on the other side. “Seems simple enough!” Flapper said as his white aura formed around his body. Something urged the soldier to just bolt, he didn’t want to be here any longer than necessary. “Wait Flapper, don’t jump ahead!” Blial’s advice went unheard as Flapper took flight. Just as Flapper came over the center of the lake something came rushing up from its depths. A geyser of water enveloped Flapper’s form and blocked him from his allies’ line of sight. However, his bloodcurdling scream bounced off the cavern walls. The emerald water that enveloped him began tainted with the vermillion color of blood. Slowly the blood stained water returned to its source. A gasp escaped Bilal as his eyes settled upon his blood ridden comrade. Flapper had been stabbed through the chest, by some insidious creature. The creature’s tongue traced the fangs that lined its maw. “You…bastard!” Bilal boomed as his blue aura exploded around his body. The soldier’s muscles bulged as his power level went on the rise. The demonic creature growled at Bilal’s show of force. “We’ll make you pay for what you’ve done!” Bilal roared as he prepared to launch himself into the fray. The demon born of water brought his skewered prey to his fangs. Keeping his eyes on the angered Bilal the creature sank his fans into Flapper’s tender white flesh. The recon soldier cried out in agony as a chunk of his flesh was torn from his body. After taking his first bite the demon used his free hand to pull the dying Flapper off his arm. The creature held Flapper by the back of his neck and turned him so that he was facing his astonished comrades. “He-hel-help me…” Flapper forced himself to speak through the pain. Blood flowed from his mouth and unto his chin and down his neck. Death was certain there was no escaping it. “Screw you!” Bilal shouted as he blasted off toward the demon. As Bilal accelerated he gathered particles of Ki into his right hand. The soldier clenched his teeth as he wrapped his gloved digits around the sphere of Ki. “I’m sorry Flapper, but this is what I must do!” The soldier shouted as he hurled the sphere of Ki toward both the demon and his dying comrade. The energy sphere instantly disintegrated Flapper’s mangled body and continued on a path toward the murderous demon. The orange sphere connected without the slightest bit of resistance from the demon. A resounding explosion echoed throughout the cavern and veiled the demon in a cloud of dust and debris. For a moment it seemed that Bilal had done it. But of course, this was just wishful thinking on the squad’s part. The nameless demon’s yellow eyes glowed from within the shroud. “Impossible…that was my best attack…” Bilal said as an expression of shock appeared on his face. Whatever that thing was, it was clear that it wasn’t to be trifled with. Its desire to kill was growing with each passing moment. "Fool! Did you really think you could take on a creature like this alone! We'll attack together, on my command! Flapper's death will be go avenged!" Captain Bark yelled, inspiring his comrades to focus their emotions and attack together instead of hastily charging in angrily like Blial. They all nodded to one another before taking to the skies, surrounding the massive water demon as if it was choreographed. The beast unwavered as it roared, showing its mighty fangs. The beast's battle cry sent shock waves throughout the underground structure. "Ready?! Attack!" All at once the four remaining members of Aisu's recon team sent their most powerful attacks flying towards the water demon, hoping it would end the creature's life in one big fiery explosion. However, their hopes were quickly ended with the demonic beast's impressive display of power. Before the team's techniques could reach their target, a large typhoon surrounded the demon, effectively shielding it from all damage. The impact caused the water to erupt into the air before it rained down on all below. The Recon team had walked into the den of a monster, a killing machine, and they knew now that they would pay for their mistake. "Fuck! What do we do now, Captain?" Sheva questioned as she watched the demon's power rise, hoping that her leader could show her the way, return to her the hope she had before they encounter the terror before them. However, Bark didn't have the answers. He was just as shocked and clueless as Sheva. With his mouth stuck open in awe of the frightening power of the Water Demon, Bark began to sweat. "I'll tell you what we do. We run!" Blial said as he began darting past the monster, hoping that his speed would prevail and he would be able to escape. Unfortunately for him, his fate, along with the rest of his team's, was sealed. The demon's thirst to kill was far to great to allow any of them to escape his sight still alive. Before Blial got very far, the monster quickly used his massive claw to smack Blial down into the surrounding wall of the underground lake. Like a rag doll, Blial's body impacted the structure, planting him inside of its creases. Blood ran down his face and body. It only took one well placed claw to send Blial near death. He groaned in pain, unable to move a muscle, it was only a matter of time before the warrior's sight left him and things got dark. "The fool..." Captain bark said to himself. Despite his words however, he knew that Blial's idea to run for it was the best choice they could have made, he also knew though that any decision they made was all but futile as he saw no way out of the predicament. A shiver went down Daikon's spine, he could feel the power of demon in the distance. It wasn't enough to deter the Saiyan, instead it excited him, maybe this treasure hunt would prove to have some excitment in it after all. The general didn't bother announcing the energy he felt in the direction he and Gohan were headed for he knew the hybrid felt the same demonic force. Picking up a stick that found its way to the carven and carefully lighting it with his Ki, Daikon illuminated the area. "Hmm, I think this little hunt for the dragonball could get interesting after all" The general said before floating off the ground, looking to speed up his travel to their destination by flying within the cave. He didn't care if Gohan did the same in order to keep up, although he was sure he would. The further the Saiyans traveled through the structure the greater the demonic power began to feel to them. It was a energy that made the general almost giddy with excitement. He didn't think anything this evil could live on this planet. It wasn't much longer until Daikon reached the light at the end of the tunnel and could see the massive underground lake that served as the battleground of two unevenly matched forces. The water demon proved to be the source of the evil energy the saiyan felt. He watched as the group of alien warriors not foreign to planet struggled to stay alive against the beast. Daikon decided not to interrupt the conflict, eagerly awaiting the end, amused to see how the water demon would finish its victims. He showed an evil grin, admiring the demonic powers of the once resting creature. WC: 757 TWC: 3,159 OOC: Blial's dead. Daikon is watching the recon team be slaughtered |

Chapter Two: Into The Depths -2- The Slaughter Two members of Aisu’s elite recon squad had been banished to the next dimension with little to no effort on the demon’s end. The creature of the murky depths hadn’t feasted on the flesh of mortal beings in what felt like centuries. It’s never ending desire for flesh and bone brought out its darker, more putrid nature. The recon squad hardly counted as an appetizer for the water born demon, his tongue was slightly moistened by the blood of his kills. However, the demon could sense both Daikon and Gohan’s approach. Their power was far greater than that of the recon squad. They would hopefully sate the creature’s near bottomless hunger. Like most beings in this cavern the water demon was bound to it, he could never venture into the open world and consume those he laid his eyes upon. These fools venturing into such twisted territory gave the demon just the feeling of ecstasy he needed. “Shit, escaping doesn’t seem like it’s an option.” Bark cursed as his aura flourished around his body. The ground beneath the captain’s feet trembled as his power level climbed. Captain Bark may’ve been the head of the recon squad, but that didn’t mean he was powerless. The alien warrior topped out at a power level of 17,500, quite a feat for someone in such a meager position. “Sheva we’re going to have to go all out on this thing, hold nothing back!” Bark commanded as his muscles bulged even further. The air around the warrior ripened with ki as Bark’s aura expanded and the ground beneath his feet cracked upon itself. “Understood captain!” Sheva responded as her crimson aura erupted around her body, causing the ground to lose it integrity. The entire cavern began to shake in the face of Sheva and Bark’s combined powers. Unlike her captain, Sheva’s power only climbed to 13,500. Still, she was crucial in this battle. “Ready to move when you are sir!” Sheva shouted as she bent her knees slightly. The water demon howled with gargled laughter, the two soldiers before him were petty weaklings. Their combined might did nothing but amuse the creature of the depths. The beast’s yellow eyes glistened as the two charged in. As expected Bark was the first to reach the demon, his fist cruised through the air like a missile. The demon easily saw through Bark’s offensive and ducked below the fist, letting it pass over his head harmlessly. Before Sheva could arrive and save her comrade, Bark’s armored frame was wreathed in a swirling prison of water. Bark’s muscles seized as the water began sucking the moisture from his very flesh. The water that his cells needed to survive was being robbing; it was obvious this was no normal water. The demon had complete control over its properties and powers. “You bastard!” Sheva howled as she slammed her fist into the demon’s forehead. However, the woman’s fist didn’t do the slightest bit of damage. The demon remained unmoved, his jowls spread wide into a devious grin. “Impossible…I put everything into that punch!” Sheva shouted as she pulled her fist away from the demon’s face. Sheva’s eyes shot toward her trapped captain, the color of his flesh had nearly faded completely. His flesh had also started to breakdown exposing his ivory toned bones. “Ms. Sheva get away from him!” The rookie shouted as he reached out helplessly. The demon’s free hand pierced Sheva’s torso, an expression of pain crossed her face as blood was forced from her opened mouth. Sheva’s crimson life blood flowed unto the demon’s arm as he hoisted her above his head. Like Bark, her body began to decompose as it was veiled in a sphere of water. After eons the demon was finally able to get the true sustenance he desired. Creatures that required water to survive were what the demon favored most. Their life force added to the demon’s own power and continued to fuel his desire for bloodshed and mayhem. “This…this wasn’t supposed to happen.” The rookie said as he fell to his knees. Tears of fear and sorrow flowed from his eyes, as he watched the last of his comrades’ bodies turn into sacks of bone and ash. “This was supposed to be our chance to make ourselves known. To have Master Aisu’s respect.” The Rookie continued to sob as he bowed his eyes, relenting to his fate. The water demon came before the fear racked alien. The creature took in all of the alien’s fears; the distinct smell intoxicated the demon. It had been far too long since he’d savored the wondrous taste of fear. However, the creature’s desire to take in the sights would prove to be his undoing. Crack! The son of Kakarot’s fist slammed into the side of the demon’s face, sending it flying across the cavern. Snickering the hybrid touched down beside Aisu’s soldier. “So you’re one of Aisu’s men huh? Well then you can be of some use to me.” Gohan kept his eyes trained on the demon, which was firmly lodged in the opposite wall of cavern. “Daikon, would you like to take on that creature? I have some business with the crybaby here.” Gohan regressed to his more Saiyan persona. The mention of Aisu always rubbed the hybrid the wrong way. “... Sure” Daikon said, responding to Gohan’s invitation. The demon before him slowly rose back to his feet after having been rocked by the hybrid Saiyan. It never saw the punch coming and was understandably angry that Gohan would sneak attack him so. The creature began to roar as its red shot eyes glared at Gohan who spoke to one of the soldiers. “I’m your opponent now, demon! I suggest you forget the young one and focus on the real threat” Daikon’s announcement caught the attention of the water demon who didn’t really care who he got to kill first as long as he could slaughter each and every last one of them, just as he did the previous 3 recon soldiers. A mighty roar escaped the dragon like demon’s fangs as he tried to intimidate Daikon, a feat in which no had accomplished it quite some time. The demon didn’t fare better than the previous failures as the general only grinned at the confidence of his opponent. “That’s right… come and get me” Without any further hesitation, the beast used its fearsome claws once again, looking to shred Daikon into pieces with a single swipe. However, the battle savvy general was far too fast for an attack like that as he easily avoided it by flying into the air. Daikon had been training on planet Namek since his arrival and has grown quite strong because of it; he knew that he wouldn’t need to use much energy to take down his opponent. He countered by charging at the demon head on, his blazing red aura erupting as he did so. Not bothering to throw a punch or a kick, he quickly grabbed hold of the demon before pushing him backwards forcefully until the beasts back impacted with a nearby boulder, crushing it in the process. Smoke and debris quickly rose at the conclusion of Daikon’s assault, causing the Saiyan to have to fly away from the scene in order to view the damage done to his foe. An attack like that was far from enough to end the battle however it was precisely what was needed to show the demonic creature exactly who he was dealing with. Daikon, a warrior of legend, famed general of planet vegeta and one of the most feared Saiyan’s to have ever roamed to universe would never be defeated by such a low level demon like this, and he was determined to let it be known. He gazed on at the scene, watching and waiting for the demon to arise, presumably furious knowing that Daikon was too powerful for him, however, it didn’t happen. Once the smoke cleared, Daikon saw nothing; the water was even calm enough to show that the demon wasn’t using some sort of cloaking technique in order to hide from the Saiyan. It was highly unlikely that the simple melee attack was enough to completely annihilate the demon being, so where was he? That’s when the obvious made itself known to the general. The so called water demon was once again using the water to his advantage as he hid himself underneath it, waiting until the time was right. Daikon couldn’t help but notice however that the lake was far to settled to have such a powerful creature swimming in it but concluded that this demon was so traversed in his skill in the water that he was able to move around in it without being detected. “Hiding won’t save you, demon! I WILL find you and you WILL die here today… Your fate was sealed the moment I laid eyes on you, the moment you decided to make yourself known, flaunting your power around like some sort of immature child! Now look at you, hiding in fear of a mortal who has managed to come into YOUR HOME and attack you… Is this really the nature of your race? I’d say you’ve only survived this long due to the weaklings on this planet, what a shame” Daikon lectured, not even sure if it could speak or understand language, only hoping to anger it enough that it had no choice but to show itself and defend its pride. “I guess I’ll just blow this place to smithereens, then you’ll have no choice but to-“ before the Saiyan could finish his threat, a beam of energy suddenly pierced the body of water’s surface before connecting with Daikon’s torso. This was no regular energy beam however, it traveled too fast for daikon to detect let alone evade and as it connected it didn’t injure the saiyan one bit, it had a much more crippling effect. Slowly, as the beam of light blue energy poured into Daikon’s body, he began to get cold and immobilize. The Saiyan massive 7-foot, 395lb frame couldn’t move, ice began to envelope him completely, and it was quickly proving to be a grave mistake having let his guard down. Shocked by the happenings, Daikon face showed the expression of surprise as he was soon frozen solid. The crafty demon proved to be a lot more than just a powerful, mindless beast, no he was quite intelligent to have led the Saiyan general in such a well and quickly thought out trap. His goal was achieved as Daikon fell to the ground below, just missing the lake water, his frozen shell not shattering from the impact. This was no regular ice that would be broken by a simple fall, no; it would take a lot more than that. Slowly the demon retreated from under the lake, the emerald water rolling down his face and torso as he floated upwards, obviously pleased at the outcome. Daikon’s frozen body stood tall as if it were a statue, facing the demon as it pondered how it would kill the Saiyan. It moved through the water like a shark approaching its prey. The liquid began to rise up, showing signs of ki enhancement. The demon planned to do to Daikon exactly what he did to Captain Bark only Daikon wouldn’t be able to defend himself at all. The demon roared proudly, announcing his victory as it stood in the lake right before Daikon. The Saiyan was frozen however he still remained conscious, well aware of his surroundings. He also could feel that he had the power within him that was needed to set himself free. The Saiyan began to increase his power level, knowing that the more he did so, the more likely he would be able to escape the ki enhanced ice prison set upon him. The demon hesitated as it could feel the power of Daikon rising to levels that greatly surpassed his own. Maybe for the first time ever, the water demon began to feel the feeling he inspired in every member of Aisu’s recon team. Fear. The clear colored ice began to glow a bright yellow as Daikon prepared his escape. Slowly the ice cracked, releasing only a little of Daikon’s power into the atmosphere as it did so. Soon the little cracks seen around the ice sculpture began to travel and lengthen until they could be found all around it. The water demon found itself so shocked that a rebuttal attack was the furthest thing from its mind; it had obviously never seen someone powerful enough to break free from its ice prison. In one quick unpreventable explosion, Daikon freed himself but as he emerged from the ice, he’d change. His hair went from an recognizable afro to a spikey golden hairdo. His aura formed around him in a gold hue and his eyes turned an appropriate greenish blue. The super Saiyan transformation was a beauty that struck fear into the hearts of most warrior faced with it. The water demon was no different as he slowly backed up in awe, suddenly feeling he was far too close to the deadly super saiyan. “You didn’t really think you could keep me immobilized for long did you? Hmph, what a pity, it was such a good plan too” Daikon said as he showed an evil grin, pleased to watch the fear form on a being who was once thought to be fearless. He levitated off the ground before floating towards the retreating demon. Daikon wasn’t about to let his foe escape and he didn’t have time to play with him. He wanted to end this quickly so that he and Gohan could go back to looking for the dragon ball. “Where are you going? Thought you wanted to kill me?” Suddenly the demon retreated back into the lake but didn’t get very far as Daikon quickly dove in after it. The body of water that seemed so shallow and small from above was actually vastly deep below the surface, the demon had plenty of room to hide and run away from Daikon however he wasn’t nearly fast enough to do so as the Saiyan quickly grabbed hold of its elegant tail before using it to pull the creature closer to him. He then connected with the demon’s midsection, delivering a punch that all but signified the end of the battle. The beast cried out in pain as Daikon removed his fist from its body before kicking it into a nearby wall where its entire body was planted, crippled by the underwater attacks. The Saiyan general wasted little time before beginning his next attack by placing his right palm outward towards the already defeated demon. “See you in hell” A large red wave of energy erupted out of the Saiyan’s hand before completely engulfing the demon while also causing a huge splash above the water’s surface. Daikon arose from the lakes depths victorious. WC: 1,613 TWC: 4,772 OOC: Water Demon is dead. |

Chapter Two: Into The Depths -3- The Interrogator While Daikon dealt with the demon born of water Gohan turned his attention to the whimpering rookie. Gohan wasn’t concerned with pleasantries and kindness at this point, he only wanted answers. The young hybrid’s need for good had been shelved by his desire to crush Aisu. Gohan’s dark eyes settled upon the rookie as the son of Kakarot extended his palm toward the downed soldier. Purple threads of energy escaped the teen’s fingertips and wrapped around the soldier’s frail limbs. The rookie cried out in pain as his limbs were pulled outward and his body was raised forcibly. With little to no effort Gohan could manipulate the soldier’s movements. Every command Gohan made the soldier was forced to follow. His body was no longer his to command. Gohan’s signature technique was once again proving to be beyond useful. A devious grin spread across Gohan’s face as he looked into the fear laden eyes of his foe. “Alright you’re going to tell me just what is it that Aisu wants with this planet.” Gohan’s eyes narrowed as his digits started to move toward the center of his palm. A surge of static energy crackled through the purple thread as Gohan’s fingers moved. The rookie’s cries of agony grew even louder as his muscles started to seize. “Now talk!” Gohan roared as he tightened his grip even more, causing the soldier’s cries to intensify. Torture wasn’t usually Gohan’s thing, but all his repressed Saiyan instincts were starting to disagree with his sudden heroic ideals. “I…I can’t tell you anything!” The rookie screamed as he tried to keep from being dismembered. “Can’t?” Gohan raised brow as he pulled back his hand. “Or won’t.” Gohan clenched his teeth as he increased the amount of pain surging through the soldier’s breaking body. “Okay! Okay! Please just don’t make this anymore painful!” The rookie shrieked as blood started to escape his contorting flesh. The energy threads had started to snake over his limbs and torso. They were cutting through his skin and his armor, eventually the rookie would be drained of his precious plasma. “Heh, took you long enough to see the light.” Gohan began to loosen his grip on the pain ridden soldier. However, the son of Kakarot kept his foe suspended. If the servant of Aisu gave him an answer he didn’t like Gohan had the option to simply release him; letting the solider fall to his presumed death. “Lord Aisu sent me and the rest of my squad here to take the Dragonball before you arrived. We were going to start stashing our own Dragonballs in order to keep you have acquiring your wish.” The rookie spoke quickly, he still feared for his life. “Once you had collected the other Dragonballs, Aisu and his men would invade and kill off your alliance and make a wish of his own.” The rookie continued as he felt the energy threads loosen even more. Gohan stared at the rookie intensely; the rookie’s anxiety laced words rang true. Nothing seemed off about Aisu’s proposed plan as it made perfect sense. The young Super Saiyan diverted his gaze toward the ground. Aisu coming here meant that he would be able to have his revenge sooner than expected. However, at what price? If Aisu came down to the planet he’d no doubt leave it ruins. Once again Gohan’s humanity had started to make its way to the forefront, superseding the desires of his Saiyan side. A long and drawn out breath escaped the hybrid as he slowly set the wounded soldier down on the torn earth. The threads that once bound the rookie dispersed. Once again the soldier had control over his body, granted that control was limited by his various wounds. Gohan’s attention moved toward Daikon’s battle with the demon. The Saiyan General had risen to the level of Super Saiyan. Like Gohan, Daikon had become a legend in his own right. Attaining the renowned power of the Saiyan race wasn’t exactly an easy task. However, unlike Gohan the general had yet to ascend beyond that. Daikon was stuck at the precipice of true Saiyan power. Seeing Daikon flaunt his meager Super Saiyan powers brought a half smile to Gohan’s face. The hybrid wanted to show off, but this wasn’t the time or the place for such a thing. The Dragonball was what Gohan needed at this moment. Aisu’s plans had to be thwarted well before they could come to fruition. “Alright, thank you for your answers.” Gohan turned away from the victorious Daikon. “However, I cannot let you return to your master.” A solemn expression crossed Gohan’s face as his eyes met with the soldier’s own. “Please no! Don’t kill me! I gave you the answers you wanted!” The soldier pleaded as he groveled on his knees. “I swear I won’t mention you to Master Aisu!” “I have no intentions of killing you. If you return to Aisu he’ll kill you himself, but you know that don’t you?” Gohan crossed his arms over his chest as he spoke. “You can use this opportunity to escape from Aisu’s grasp. I know you used some sort of ship to get here, use it to go off world.” Gohan paused for a moment. “Don’t make me regret sparing your life.” The hybrid said as he started to break gravity’s stupidly flexible laws. “Alright Daikon, let’s get moving to the next chamber.” Gohan called out to his Super Saiyan companion as he continued to ascend. “Right.” The general responded. A part of Daikon wanted to slay the terrorized rookie, but instead Daikon respected Gohan’s decision. After all, Aisu was Gohan’s rival, not Daikon’s. Tch, this place really is changing me. Gohan thought as he and Daikon touched down on the opposite end of the cavern. Any other time I would’ve killed that guy without question. The teen thought as he and Daikon walked down the barely lit corridor. There was no telling what Gohan and Daikon would run into next. There was no doubt that there were other powerful demons lying in wait. Hopefully between Gohan and Daikon’s might these creatures of darkness fall and the Dragonball would be theirs for the taking. The two Saiyans walked down the dimly lit corridor in the cave structure that was beginning to show more and more signs design from intelligent forms of life. It was obvious that the narrow hall of sorts was leading somewhere important. Gohan and Daikon still hadn't reached the Namekian ruins they had entered the cave to find. Daikon could still feel the dark presence that he felt once he encountered the water demon however, this feeling was a bit stronger. It grew in significance an power the further Daikon and the hybrid walked. It was apparent that demon's had indeed claimed this place as their own as their spiritual presence was felt throughout. "Something's not right..." Daikon said as he slightly looked towards the young Gohan. The general could sense things that no normal being could. It was a sixth sense that could only be attributed to his many years of experience, traveling to vast worlds, exploring their lands and encountering abnormal situations. "So, you feel it too?" "Yes, and I can see that we're getting closer to what seems to be the exit but then again, I was sure that the last opening was also the exit, I guess we'll have to just keep walking to find out" Daikon said as his anticipation grew. He had long removed his Super Saiyan transformation but he knew that soon he would have to transform once again in order to defeat whatever was waiting for he and his comrade, Gohan. As the two Super Saiyan warriors exited the the dark cave and entered a new place. I was a large field, one unlike any other on the lush green planet as the plant life on this part of Namek all died long ago. The normally blueish green grass was either grey or non existent. Even this part of the world was darker than the rest, only being exposed to one of the three suns. The view seemed to shock Gohan the most as he was used to seeing Namek in all its glory much more often than Daikon who chose to spend most of his time in the HQ rather than out amongst the people like Gohan. THe hybrid could vouch for how often the Namekian went out to tend to their gardens, making sure that their planet was always the healthiest in the universe. This field of land must be the exception as it seemed that not a soul had laid foot on its ground in quite some time, rahter, not a living soul. Moments after the two Saiyan began walking on the decaying soil, the could see something that blew their minds. It was the souls of hundreds, maybe even thousands of deceased Namekians. Their ghostly figures floated around the area freely and in a frenzy. The duo's presence had obviously disturbed their sleep as they were grouchy and angry at the Saiyans. "WHAT'S THIS!" Daikon exclaimed as he looked upon a sight he never thought was possible. He couldn't help but wonder why the souls of these Namekians hadn't moved on and entered the otherworld like normal beings. The afterlife was a place where souls could go to escape the living world, whether it was heaven or Hell that was their destiny. This souls however seemed trapped, unable to move on as they should. Their suspended travel to the afterlife understandably made them angry however the fact that they were left alone for so many years, calmed them. With Daikon and Gohan's arrival though, they were once again thrown out of their slumber. Suddenly a statue of a very old and overweight weight Namekian rose from underground, its eyes glowing red. Daikon couldn't figure out what was going on or what he should do next. He knew that if he continued to press forward, he would further anger the souls of the deceased, toying with forces well beyond his understanding. But if he turned back and retreated back to where he and Gohan came, he would be forfeiting the Dragonball, an act he was not willing to do. So he moved forward, choosing to ignore the ghostly being floating around in order to search for the dragonball. "Gohan, we must move!" Daikon yelled out to the hybrid who seemed to be hesitant about his next decision. With Daikon's choice, the souls of the passed Namekian also decided to move, however they all seemed to retreat as they dived back into the ground in which they came. Daikon and Gohan had seemed to averted a possible battle not meant for them to take part in, only, it wasn't long before the disturbed souls made their move. Suddenly, the general could feel his ankle being grabbed by what was obviously a dead Namekian's hand. The decay and lack of skin on the corpse's body was unlike anything Daikon had felt before, causing an immediate hostile reaction from the general. Without hesitation Daikon shot a ki blast down at the undead Namekian attempting to leave his grave in the ground, completely destroying the native's arm. To Daikon's dismay, he looked around and could see many more zombie Nameks rising from their graves, looking to eat the brains of the two intruder Saiyans. A situation that neither Daikon nor Gohan could have predicted was unfolding right before their eyes. Only time would tell if the Saiyans would be able to escape their fate becoming food for the Zombie Nameks or if their search of the dragonball was about to come to an abrubt and painful end. OOC: Thousands of Namekian Zombies have begun to rise from the ground and they all are hostile towards both Daikon and Gohan however their power level's are miniscule compared to the Saiyans. ![]() WC: 954 |

Chapter Two: Into The Depths -4- The Wrath of The Undead Gohan’s eyes widened as the soulless Namekians climbed out from the tarnished soil beneath Gohan and Daikon’s feet. A sickening feeling seeped out from Gohan’s gut and spread to the rest of his body. The sight of such decay, rot and death pained the hybrid. Gohan respected the Namekian people more than he did the race he hailed from. Seeing their bodies so ravaged and without the cherished soul was beyond painful. The closer the undead came the more Gohan’s body quivered, but not with fear, with anger. Slowly Gohan rolled his hands into fists. The Saiyan’s teeth clenched together as his expression hardened. The ground beneath Gohan’s feet trembled as his sapphire aura flashed to life around his body. “You’ll all be put to rest.” Gohan said under his breath as his muscles began to bulge. Gohan’s hair swayed back and forth as it succumbed to the ebb and flow of Gohan’s expanding aura. For a moment Gohan’s hair and his aura flashed yellow, and his eyes went from jet black, to a distinctive emerald. A roar escaped the son of Kakarot as his aura expanded and blew away all of the zombies who’d gathered around him. The decaying Namekians were dismembered by the sheer force of Gohan’s aura, and the gale force winds that aura generated. Within an instant Gohan took on the form of the legendary Super Saiyan. Before Daikon could respond to Gohan’s sudden outburst the hybrid took to the offensive. The angered warrior cultivated a sphere of orange energy in his right palm before he stretched it outward. Another battle cry escaped the speeding Saiyan as he unleashed the cultivated mass into the zombie horde. The orange blast wave tore through zombie after zombie, their decaying flesh and weakened bones could hardly stand up to the force of Gohan’s energy blast. “This is the end for all of you!” Gohan howled as he rocketed toward the blackened sky, his aura continued to burn around his body. The Super Saiyan raised both of his hands over his head. Particles of blue energy came together between his palms, they crackled together to form a boiling mass of Ki. Gohan’s teeth clenched together once again, he struggled to contain the forming mass. Gohan began to condense that mass into a rotating sphere which hovered above his right hand. Without taking another second the hybrid unleashed the rotating mass toward the undead horde below. The massive force collided with the center of the horde and tore into the scorched soil. The resounding explosion consumed nearly all of the undead population below. Luckily for Daikon, he’d already taken to the skies in order to avoid being caught in the massive explosion. The Saiyan General was astounded by Gohan’s near immeasurable power. Gohan’s Super Saiyan powers had grown tremendously since the last time he’d taken on this form. “Well Gohan, seems you took care of our slug problem.” Daikon laughed as he looked at the aftermath of Gohan’s unrelenting attack. A massive crater had taken over the land below. The destruction Gohan had wrought rivaled the darkness that pervaded the twisted lands of the undead. “Whoever did this to them will pay.” Gohan tightened his fists as his eyes wandered toward the horizon. A sickening laugh echoed throughout the lands, it was followed by the sound of breaking earth. “Interesting, a Super Saiyan has graced us all with his presence?” The laughter grew louder as Gohan’s emerald spheres honed in the owner of the insidious laughter. A being dressed in nothing but black leather appeared on the ground not too far from Gohan and Daikon. In his hand was a scepter and at the head of that scepter was Gohan and Daikon’s prize, the Two-Star Dragonball. The pale skinned sorcerer grinned as his crimson eyes locked onto Gohan and Daikon. His stare commanded both Gohan and Daikon to return to the hard ground below. Without realizing it the two did as the magus’ eyes commanded. Gohan’s rage quieted for a moment as he eyed the Two-Star Dragonball. That was what he’d been sent after. This master of the undead was using the mystical power of the Dragonball to control the soulless bodies of the ancient Namekians. The ruins of old had been turned into nothing but a depressing wasteland, inhabited by the undead. This man was the one that Gohan needed to defeat in order to save the lost souls of his Namekian brethren. “Are you the one who has done this? The one who has brought so much pain to the deceased people of this planet, if so I’m going to destroy you!” Gohan no longer hid his desire to protect the people of this planet. In truth he didn’t give a damn if Daikon saw him as weak and feeble for giving into his waking humanity. The son of Goku couldn’t just sit back and watch the magus bring such misery to the dead. “Yes, I am the one who rules over this perpetual underworld. With the addition of you and your friend’s souls I will finally be able to leave these accursed ruins, and take over the world above!” The mage howled as he spun his scepter overhead. “You think you’ll be able to take us both out?” Gohan’s legs spread shoulder with apart. “Well you’ve got another thing coming mage; I’m even more powerful than you think.” Gohan grinned as his aura flared to life around his body. The ground beneath Gohan’s feet began to tremble as orange bio-electric sparks crackled through his yellow aura. A yell escaped Gohan as his power level went on the rise. For a moment the hybrid was pushed to ascend and show his true power, but something held him back. Was it the fact that Daikon was standing beside him? Or was it fear? Did Gohan actually fear taking on the ascended transformation and giving into his deep seeded Saiyan desires? Whatever the case Gohan was keeping himself from going over the edge and transforming once again. “What’s wrong boy? I can sense that power you’re keeping buried within. Why not awaken it? Give into that hatred and show me what you can really do!” The mage commanded as he pointed his scepter toward the aura laden Super Saiyan. “Fine, you want to see every ounce of my power?” Gohan’s leg spread even further as his muscles bulged. “Sorry Daikon, I didn’t want you to know about this just yet, but I’ve got no other choice.” Gohan said to his comrade as the orange sparks turned blue. The Super Saiyan’s hair climbed upward as his power level continued to increase. The ground beneath Gohan’s feet bowled outward as he delved into the power churning within his core. With one finale roar Gohan’s hair spiked up and a bright yellow light consumed the underground cavern. “Alright then mage.” Gohan’s voice echoed within the dimming light. “You wanted to see my true power, so here it is.” Gohan said as his transformed visage was revealed to all who dared to watch the battle. The expression Gohan’s face had hardened, he’d become more manly in a sense. A single strand of hair extended from his widows peak and came just short of his chin. The rest of his hair spiked upward, and branched out in various directions. “Yes! This is truly magnificent! This is the power that I’ve wanted to see for oh so long! I’ll be able to break free of the shackles that bind me and my brethren to this place! Now come, Son Gohan! Show me the power of a true Super Saiyan!” The Magus howled as his putrid black aura formed around his body. Without warning the son of Kakarot took off toward the howling Magus. Gohan traveled low to the ground. Its ravaged surface broke apart even further and a trail of dust and debris formed behind the accelerating Super Saiyan. As Gohan neared the mage he extended his left hand as a sort of guide, and cocked back his right fist in preparation to strike. The Super Saiyan’s fist rocketed toward the evil magus with all the speed and strength of a bullet train. Gohan’s fist phased through nothing but an image of the undead master, leaving Gohan wide open for a counterattack. The devious mage appeared to Gohan’s right and brought his scepter into a downward arc toward the back of Gohan’s neck. However, just like the magus, Gohan could use the after image technique. “Impressive!” The mage howled as his weapon passed through Gohan’s visage. “You’ll need to do better than that sorcerer!” Gohan howled as he reappeared to the mage’s right. Gohan’s fist careened toward the being’s face, but met only with air. The black magician had broken into an array of light particles and escaped being decapitated by Gohan’s fist. “Well this won’t be nearly as easy as I’d thought.” The mage said as he appeared a good fifty feet from both Gohan and Daikon. “I may have to call in the others.” The mage grinned as he stabbed the base of his staff into the earth. “Arise my dear friends! It is time for us to have our freedom.” Post Word Count: 1,547 Total Word Count: 7,609/10,000 OOC Note(s): + Gohan has dealt with most of the zombies + A new enemy appeared revealing that he controls the beings of the cavern. Just as soon as the sorcerer planted his staff that held one of the most prized possessions on the planet, more Namekians rose from the ground, replacing each and every one that Gohan managed to ‘kill’. Daikon was shocked and impressed to see the sheer power in the magician’s possession but he was even more impressed with the new level Gohan managed to achieve. It was like nothing he had ever seen but everything he dreamed it to be, the level beyond Super Saiyan. Daikon’s scouter quickly malfunctioned when trying to capture the hybrid’s exact power level, showing that it was easily higher than anything the scouter was designed to read. Daikon knew that Gohan was hiding something. He could see it in the young boy’s eyes. The prodigy had ascended and began rubbing the general’s face in it. Daikon couldn’t help but feel unworthy. It was he who should have been the one to reach the level of legend, not some teenaged half-breed like Gohan. The fact was however, Gohan was simply more gifted than Daikon in their current state, it only meant the general needed to train even harder if he hoped to surpass the young Saiyan and truly take his place as the strongest in the universe. The Saiyan’s mind was completely off the task at hand as the zombie Namekians began to surround him, looking to overpower him with their numbers. Daikon wasn’t fazed however as he snapped back to reality. It was obvious that the undead beings were far beneath the general in terms of power, especially since he had the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan. He knew that they would easily fall to him in a moment’s time. “You think this is enough to defeat me?! You believe I’d fall to the weaklings, allowing you to focus on the kid?! How dare you underestimate MY POWER?!” Daikon yelled, exploding in a rage fueled by the magician’s arrogance and the feeling of being inferior to Gohan. With his eyes returning to their transformed hue and his haired turning golden again, Daikon’s aura erupted, sending more than a few of the zombies flying backwards. As he shinned bright with the distinct aura of a Super Saiyan, quickly took the offensive, completely and literally punching through the undead bodies, looking to annihilate all of them one by one. He was like a golden wrecking ball the way the massive Saiyan disposed of the magus’ army. They proved no match for the general as he began unleashing waves of energy, obliterating hundred at a time. Daikon’s anger was his strength. He felt disrespected and looked to take out his frustrations on who ever dared to stand in his way at this point. He would prove that he was on Gohan’s level one way or another. My, my, it seems I have truly underestimated that large on over there… its time I call out my A team The Magus thought as he desperately dodged Gohan’s attacks. The ascended Saiyan was giving his opponent more than he could handle at this juncture. It would only be a matter of time before Gohan defeated the sorcerer unless that slime magician had even more tricks up his sleeve, which was highly likely. Daikon continued to pummel the remaining Zombies, dwindling down his enemies until their numbers were down to only two digits. The general would be able to defeat the undead warriors in no time if he stayed focus, then he would be able to help Gohan if need be. However, the Saiyan’s hopes of being able to fight the big fish sooner rather than later were stalled as three new opponents entered the fray. The genral quickly noticed the winged demons as they were unlike the frail Namekian zombies as they looked to be not only from off world, but out of this dimension as well. The three females all had dull skin and devilish features, wings that one would expect to see on a bat and not a person. It was clear that these fighters were of a different variety. They were Hell spawns who somehow managed to find their way to the living realm. However, to Daikon, they were only his next victims. “Look sisters, that must be the man master sent for us to kill” One of the demons said from the dark skies. “Yes… it must” “Ooo he’s a handsome one… Let’s go play with him!” “Yeah!” Daikon eyes never left the hellish beings since they entered the battlefield, for he could tell by their appearance that they would prove to be much more of a threat than the zombie fighters who quickly deterriated once the demon sisters began to descend towards Daikon. The zombies were afraid of the demons and with good reason, their power was much higher than any fighter Daikon had met on Namek with the exception of the resurrected Super Namek he had faced months earlier. It was finally time that the general would receive the confrontation he had so desperately desire since inviting himself to come on this hunt for the dragonball with Gohan. Chapter Three: The Dead Shall Rise -1- The Epic Battle Begins Gohan completely ignored the mage’s companions; he was focused only on the black clad magician. Usually the son of Kakarot was able to stay level headed, but the atrocities committed by this man were unforgivable. The Ascended Super Saiyan had no plans of showing this servant of the undead what it meant to be merciful. Every ounce of Gohan’s Saiyan tenacity had been brought to the fore. Ironically that tenacity had been birthed from his humanity. Without that human element there was no doubt that Gohan wouldn’t even be half as strong as he was. Anyone who’d seen Gohan in action knew that to be an undeniable truth. The mixing of Saiyan and Human genes created a being with a vast amount of potential and an inherent skill. Gohan had harnessed that potential and was starting to bring it out to its fullest. Although, the boy still had a long way to go, there was still more to his power. More to his ever evolving destiny. Crack! Gohan’s fist collided with the Magus’ staff, the ground beneath the two warriors shattered and bowled outward from the resounding impact. The mystical energies of the Two Star Ball prevented the staff from breaking in two. The Magus cursed as he forced Gohan away from him by swing his staff outward, causing the Super Saiyan to momentarily retreat. However the Magus’ breather was short lived. Just before he could readjust and protect himself, Gohan’s knee slammed into the dead center of his chest. A pained cry escaped the magic enforcer as blood tainted salvia was forced from his throat, and into the natural world. Gohan didn’t stop there of course. The boy pulled back his knee and rammed his elbow into his foe’s forehead. Another cry of agony escaped the mage as his head was victimized by whiplash. Howling with rage Gohan unloaded a barrage of punches, kicks and knee strikes into the magus’ exposed body. Each strike produced a pained cry from the Magus. Gohan’s ascended power was clearly more than mage’s relatively fragile frame could handle. “Eat this!” Gohan roared as he delivered an overtly powerful cross hook to the Magus’ face. The sorcerer was instantly uprooted and sent tumbling across the scorched earth. Each time he hit the ground his limbs bent unnaturally. Cursing the Magus did what he could to stab both his left hand and his scepter into the ground. Eventually the agent of death came to a halt. Blood dripped from the mage’s face; he was riddled with cuts and bruises. The black leather that gripped his body so tightly was starting to fall apart. The protection it offered was piss-poor to say the least. Labored breath after labored breath escaped the bloodied warrior as he pulled himself to his feet. The pain that surged through his body was unlike any other, never before had the warrior of the undead faced such a powerful warrior. Super Saiyan Two Gohan was no joke. The Magus was learning this the hard way. “Is this really all you can do!?” Gohan shouted as his aura exploded around his body. Bright blue sparks crackled through his aura, their frequency of appearance increased as Gohan’s aura became more vicious and ever present. “Well, Son Gohan…” The mage wheezed as he struggled to catch his breath. “You’ve gone far beyond my expectations. Both you and the other Super Saiyan are more powerful than I imagined. However…” The Magus let a grin spread across his bloodied face. “…I cannot allow you to leave this place free of my control. I and my brethren will rise and conquer this frail planet; we don’t deserve to be imprisoned here. We did nothing wrong, we only reached into the pool of knowledge even the Super Nameks feared. Tell me; is my quest for knowledge of the mystic arts that despicable?” The weary Magus questioned rhetorically. “You’ve tainted the souls of the dead. The punishment you received is far too lax.” A grave expression formed on the Super Saiyan’s face. “What you really deserve is death, and then you can wallow in the pit and writhe in your own despair!” Gohan shouted just before he broke from his standing position and dashed toward his weary foe. “Come forth!” The Magus shouted as he weakly stretched out his left hand. A runic circle of energy appeared before the sorcerer’s extended palm. “Ryuuza!” As the Magus shouted the ground before Gohan split open and a massive claw stretched out from the expanding void. “What!?” Gohan questioned the air as he barrel rolled to the right, and climbed toward the tainted heavens above. “What the hell is that!?” Gohan’s eyes grew wide as he watched an insidious dragon pull itself from the great canyon. The beast released a monstrous roar as it revealed itself to all on the battlefield. “You’ve got to be me kidding me!? Not only does he command the undead, but a dragon as well!?” Gohan was still awestricken; he’d never expected to see such a beast. “Ryuuza will end this! He will be the instrument of your demise, and then you’ll both become my puppets and the keys to my freedom!” The Magus howled as he marveled at his own creation. Tch, we’ll see about that! Gohan thought as he flexed his muscles and let his aura go on a rampage once again. The real battle was only just beginning. Daikon refused to sit back and wait for his new opponents to bring the fight to him, no, instead he entered the skies in order to meet the three demonic females half way in the air. The trio of demons proved to be more skilled than the general anticipated as they quickly took advantage of their natural chemistry and strength in numbers. Instead of going straight at the massive Saiyan, the sisters looked to confuse the general by flying circles around him, mocking and teasing the furious warrior. The Super Saiyan found himself helpless as he knew that if he attacked one of the girls, the other two would simply counter for the other, he was at a clear disadvantage. However, with his transformed powers, he knew that he was worlds more powerful than these three childish demons. "What are you waiting for?! Attack me!" He yelled, eager to begin the fighting. "As you wish" One of the demonic angels said as they all decided to attack the Saiyan at once. Daikon refused to be overwhelmed however as he did a good job to counter and block every attack thrown at him. With the general's speed being at such a high level, he made countering look like a simple task, frustrating the girls with every attack they failed to land on him. "Hey! Stay! Still!" "You'd like that now wouldn't you?!" The girls failed to figure out how someone as large as Daikon managed to move so swiftly and elegantly, it was unnatural. Little did they know Daikon had been preparing his body to move at a high speed since the day he realized his incredible size could prove to be a disadvantage to him whenever he needed to dodge and evade. As a teen Saiyan warrior, no older than Gohan's current age, Daikon improved his speed and quickness with every training session. These demons stood no chance against the Super Saiyan and they were slowly realizing it with each moment that passed. "Now maybe you and your master can truly understand the power of legend and exactly how unstoppable the force of a Super Saiyan is!" Daikon said just before he was able to catch one of the demon girls off guard, nailing her with a powerful knee to her midsection completely shocking not only the victim but her two sisters as well who stopped attacking from their surprise. Daikon took advantage as he landed a right hook to another sister who went flying down to the Namekian soil below. With a kick with sent the other unsuspecting sister down to the ground as well before a devastating uppercut took the initial sister out of her struggle to deal with her midection pain and into a struggle to stay concious. "Pathertic" Daikon said as he kicked the last sister down as well with the others. They all landed next to one another, grimacing in pain from the Super Saiyan's unrelenting assault. "I think its about time I finish this off... I have no time to play with you weaklings, there's a dragonball I need to get my hands on" Daikon said quietly to himself before looking over to GOhan's fight with the magus, witnessing how easily he too was defeating his opponent. The power of the Super Saiyans was truly magnificent. Together it was hard to imagine anyone in the universe being able to stop them if they continued to join forces as they are now. However, as wonderful as a sight it would be for the future, Daikon knew that it was impossible. He and the hybrid simply shared different beliefs, it was becoming clear to him now. After seeing the young Saiyan explode in anger at the sight of the Namekian people being abused by the Magus, Daikon could tell that Gohan was showing his true feelings. Deep down he knew that they halfbreed's human side gave him a genuinely kind heart that may have been tainted by the Saiyan traditions but was now proving to overwhelm his other more evil half. Besides, Daikon could only imagine the confrontation following after he told stories of what he and the other Saiyan had done to a few hundred Namekians here in the past few months. As his mind drifted off, Daikon was quickly brought back to reality as he noticed a rumbling in the ground below. The quake was so massive that it began tearing apart the planet. Soon the general could tell that it actually wasn't a natural quake at all, instead the magus had summoned a monster after being forced to pull out the big guns by the hybrid. Up from the soil came an enormous dragon who seemed to be just as fearsome as he appeared. Daikon was in awe of the beast but knew he could not lose focus on the task at hand, he needed to finish off the three demons quickly in order to aide Gohan with fighting such a large foe. As his eyes turned back to his opponents, he could see that they had gotten up, despite being so bruised and exhausted. "He thinks he's so tough" "We'll show him" "Yeah!" The three demons decided now that they would try to defeat Daikon once again, this time they would use their most powerful attacks. However, unfortunately for them, the battle savvy war general had already began charging one of his own. With one hand outstretched above his head, Daikon gather a dark red sphere of energy. His cold eyes glared at the three girls who two were gathering ki however at a much smaller scale. Daikon's sphere of evil energy continued to grow stronger and larger until is was the size of small mountain. Soon the sphere's energy began to radiate waves a ki that resembled a burning fire that matched the Super Saiyan's burning desire to prove he was indeed the most powerful. His technique, The Omega Flame, was ready to be sent down and cause death and destruction to all who stood in its way. The demons sent their attacks quickly, looking to counter the large mass of ki sent flying towards them however, they knew full well that their techniques stood no chance. As the Omega Flame engulf the puny ki attacks, it continued to travel and met its targets head on who actually managed to catch the ball with their combined might. This effort proved to be futile however as soon after they all were overpowered by the attack. Lost in the burning energy, their bodies quickly withered away until they were no more. Having done its duty, the blast continued on into the planet, exploding upon contact and causing a loud boom along with a following mushroom cloud. The impact of the explosion also caused a huge gust of wind to spread in all directions, catching the attention of anyone in a large radius of the blast. "... Now" Daikon said as he turned towards the dragon a mile or so away from him. This was it, the end of their search was coming and it was bound to come with a bang even larger than Daikon's Omega Flame. The end result would undoubtedly be their attainment of the Namekian Dragonball. WC: 1205 TWC: 7,785 OOC: Three Demons all murdered by Daikons finishing technique. The General is now looking to see the conclusion of Gohan's fight with the dragon as well as to see if the hybrid needs any assistance |

Chapter Three: The Dead Shall Rise -2- The Final Awakening Gohan’s aura raged around his body as he narrowly avoided being pierced through the chest by the dragon’s massive claws. The Ascended Super Saiyan careened toward the colossal dragon, his left hand extended as he guided himself toward the main body of the beast. Gohan pulled back his right arm and began gathering particles of energy in his opened palm. The blue particles released a distinctive hum as they molded together to form a glistening sphere of energy. Gohan gritted his teeth together as he avoided another slash attempt by the fearsome Ryuuza. With a yell Gohan pulled upward and unleashed a burst of energy straight into the bottom of Ryuuza’s chin. The dragon’s head whipped back as it stumbled. The impact force of Gohan’s Full Power Energy Wave was far greater than both the dragon and the Magus expected. Gohan didn’t stop his assault there. The hybrid unleashed a barrage of punches into the dragon’s well-armored chest. The ascended warrior backed off Ryuuza and wheeled around behind the armored beast. Well before Ryuuza could recover the hybrid rammed knee straight into the center of Ryuuza’s back. The dragon was knocked off his feet and face planted onto the unforgiving ground. An impossibly loud crashing sound resounded through the unground cavern. The dragon weighed a couple hundred tons, the after effects of the crash was proof of that. Gohan started to climb toward the heavens, his aura continued to crackle around his body as he raised both of his hands over his head. Gohan’s hands overlapped as he started to focus his Ki into a single point. The bio-electric sparks that crackled through his aura started to cultivate before his overlapped palms as well. The sky darkened as Gohan started to call forth the brunt of his ascended power. “Alright dragon, this is the end for you!” Gohan howled as the amassing threads of energy weaved together to form an enormous sphere of orange Ki. “Masenko!” The Super Saiyan roared as he prepared to unleash his famed technique. “Ha!” Gohan continued with his battle cry as he pushed his arms forward. A massive burst of energy erupted from Gohan’s palms. It sped toward the downed Ryuuza; its light illuminated the dark world that had been turned into a battlefield. The Magus’ cries of shock were hardly audible over the screeching sounds of Gohan’s expanding Masenko. The energy wave tore through the earth as it consumed Ryuuza body and soul. The dragon relinquished an agonizing cry as parts of his body started to break down. Gohan’s technique was unlike anything the dragon had ever experienced. Ryuuza’s cries quieted as the explosion expanded and tore apart more of the already scorched soil. Everything was being consumed by the destructive force of Gohan’s Masenko. Death was imminent for the agent of the underworld. Nothing had prepared Ryuuza for Gohan’s true power. It didn’t help that with each passing second Gohan’s power was increasing, and not decreasing. The son of Kakarot wasn’t to be underestimated; the power sleeping within him was great enough to rival that of the unseen gods. Gohan’s hands parted as the explosion died down, and the pieces of debris that had been blasted sky high started to return to ground from whence they came. The Super Saiyan kept his emerald spheres on the center of the dust cloud, he was sure that he’d dealt with Ryuuza, however there was nothing wrong with being cautious. The one who gave into their own pride and arrogance would no doubt be killed. That dragon of his is pretty strong, and that armor was near perfect. He might’ve survived the Masenko, but I’m sure I put enough energy into that attack to destroy him. Gohan thought as he watched the billowing cloud of dust and debris dissipate. Gohan’s eyes narrowed as he caught site of Ryuuza’s silhouette. A grin spread across the hybrid’s face as the last of the dust faded, and Ryuuza’s mangled body came into view. The armor that adorned the dragon had been completely destroyed. Ryuuza had lost his right wing, right arm, left leg, half of its tail and the left side of its lower jaw. The creature’s purple plasma leaked from its mortal wounds. Death’s icy hand started to wrap its boney digits around the thread that kept Ryuuza’s soul bound to its ravaged vessel. For a brief moment Gohan felt a bit of remorse for the dark dragon, it was only doing its petty master’s bidding. Its groans of pain were rooted in legitimacy; it had some type of feelings of its own. However, this was a battlefield. Gohan didn’t have the option to be kind and merciful. Both of those things would result in death and failure to complete the mission. “Alright mage!” Gohan turned his gaze toward the astonished Magus below. “Your dragon has been toppled, now it is your turn.” With that Gohan broke him his position and darted toward his foe. Within an instant the young titan appeared before the mage, his emerald spheres stared into the Magus’ own. Gohan’s aura continued to crackle around his body as he maintained his battle hardened composure. “I won’t be the one dying here! Not today foolish child!” Without warning the Magus stabbed the tip of the blade into Gohan’s sternum. The scepter released a bright yellow light as it started to react with Gohan’s very soul. “What!? Tthis is…” The Magus’ eyes widened as he felt the power of his weapon betray him. A roar of pain escaped the hybrid as he was drawn into the depths of his psyche. The Two Star Dragonball was reacting with Gohan’s soul, or at least the other part of Gohan’s soul. The voice the hybrid had heard during the battle with the Yautja mercenary spoke once again. “So you’re finally ready.” The voice said as Gohan found himself in the center of a rainbow illuminated world. The floor was constructed by aurora particles and so too was the sky, this place was completely alien to Gohan. “It’s time you learn the truth of your own power and just who I am.” As the voice spoke particles of light started to come together across from the son of Goku. “What in the hell?” Gohan’s eyes widened as he reverted to his normal form. Before Gohan appeared an older, much more mature, version of himself. This Gohan was garbed in attire much different from Gohan’s own, and there was a scar over his right eye. A smile spread across Gohan’s face as his eyes met with Gohan’s own. The elder version of Gohan stepped toward his younger self and let his right hand fall upon the shocked boy’s shoulder. “Are you…really…me?” Gohan questioned through his shock. “Of course, you know who I am without having to ask. However there are things you don’t know. In the future I come from I was the most powerful being there, however that power made me a target for all kinds of people. I was ripped from that timeline and thrown into yours; however my body was destroyed in the process. My soul took refuge in your own and once you came to Namek I started to regain consciousness from within you. The mystic energies of Namek are what gave me the chance to speak with you, and are what created the world you see now.” The future warrior explained. “So what do you want to do now? Gohan questioned his elder-self. “Now I will impart all of my knowledge and skill to you. I can’t take refuge in your soul forever; the longer I do the sooner all of my power and information will go to waste. I should warn you everything that you attain from me will be a shock, but you need to know. Don’t worry; you’ll still be you. I won’t be continuing my life through you.” Gohan reassured his younger counterpart. “Okay, I’ll trust you. After all, you’re me. How can I not trust myself?” Gohan let a faint smile formed on his face. The elder Gohan nodded in response as the world around the two Gohans became illuminated by some unknown white light. The hybrid could feel his future-self’s power being drawn into his own being. Gohan screamed out as he felt the very fiber of his being morphing, changing into something greater than it had ever been. Suddenly Gohan found himself back in the real world; the Magus was on his ass looking up at the son of Goku. The scepter that had pierced Gohan’s sternum broke apart and turned to nothing but dust and ash. The Two Star Dragonball rested in Gohan’s left hand, which was well…bigger than before. A gasp of sorts escaped the hybrid as he looked himself over. Gohan had aged he was no longer a fifteen year old short-stack. Gohan had acquired the mind and the body of a thirty-eight year old. All of his future-self’s precious memories had become his own. That’s when Gohan came to understand the scope of his true destiny. A life of death and destruction was one the hybrid could no longer, and would no longer lead. “It’s over for you mage. Your forces have been crushed and I’ve acquired my true form.” Gohan said as he raised his right hand toward the shock ridden sorcerer. “I was hell bent on killing you seconds ago, but I don’t even think you’re worth the effort now.” The wisdom filled Gohan explained before he turned away from the mage. “Daikon!” Gohan called out to his comrade. “We have what we came for, let’s go. This guy won’t be bothering us anymore, without the Dragonball he’s powerless.” The hybrid explained as he walked over toward the fallen dragon. “I was going to leave you here too, but you didn’t choose to be a servant and this battle wasn’t yours Ryuuza.” The hybrid said as knelt beside the dying dragon. The Dragonball in Gohan’s glowed brightly as the light expanded over Ryuuza’s massive form. The wounds that threatened Ryuuza’s life were healed and his lost limbs were restored. “Now return home Ryuuza.” Gohan said with a smile. Gohan watched as the dragon climbed to his feet. The dragon’s crimson eyes met with Gohan’s and for a moment it looked like the dragon was going to attack. Instead Ryuuza gave Gohan a nod before descending into the dark void from which he crawled out from. The battle was officially over, Gohan and Daikon had defeated their opponents and gained the ultimate prize.
