Chapter One: A Father’s Path -1- A New Path A full week had passed since Gohan’s acquisition of the two star ball, however that Dragonball was far from important to the Saiyan. He’d finally tapped into that other part himself, the one who’d called out to him during his battle with Kontar. Through the soul of his alter ego Gohan became a man. Twenty-three years of his life had passed within the blink of an eye. A life that was Gohan’s, but also wasn’t his, flowed through his mind and transformed him into a whole new warrior. The pain of his lost squad had been washed away by the trials and tribulations of his future-self. However, that wasn’t what shocked the newly transformed Saiyan the most. He had a beautiful young daughter who had been named Pan. Somehow this daughter of his had made her into this timeline and was just shy of adulthood. Gohan now knew what it was that he had to protect above else. Fatherly instincts that Gohan never thought he’d have were flowing through his veins. A small part of him wanted to return to Earth to meet his offspring, but he knew he’d have to hold out. Once The Dragonballs were gathered and the wishes were made, then and only then could Gohan return to his birth place. “This feels…all too natural.” Gohan said to himself as he looked down at his aged body. Thanks to his Saiyan genes he was still in his prime and had actually grown more powerful than he was before. “To think something such as time travel was even possible.” The Saiyan continued to talk to himself as he felt a cool breeze brush against his body. Since his acquisition of age and power, Gohan had slightly changed his attire. He still wore the colors red and black, but he no longer bore the Namekian boots and he had an extended belt rather than an interlaced sash around his waist. “Still there is much for me to do until I can meet with Pan.” A faint smile cracked the hybrid’s lips as he looked out unto the horizon. As always the Saiyan greeted the new day with a smile as he stood upon the village’s plateau. Despite Gohan’s physical and mental changes the people of the village continued to support him. They valued Gohan strength, courage and new found heroism. Even though Gohan was still tied to the Cursed Legion he behaved like the hero his future-self embodied. It was clear to everyone that soon Gohan would separate from the forces of darkness and become nothing but a force for good. However, there was no way to completely eliminate Gohan’s Saiyan tenacity. His love for battle and his desire to become the best of the best would never go away. That desire was in his blood and it was one that Gohan himself reveled in as it made him who he was. Without it he wouldn’t be a Saiyan warrior, he wouldn’t have the power to protect that which was important to him. There was a great deal of value in hailing from the Saiyan race. “Aisu you’re still someone that must be destroyed, but not just because you took my comrades from me.” Gohan’s eyes ventured toward the emerald sky. “But because you’re a threat to the known universe and the peace that people like Argo strive toward.” The Saiyan’s aura slowly formed around his body. Gohan could feel Aisu and his men lurking in the depths of space, soon their epic battle would consume the emerald planet. There was no avoiding the impending conflict, the only option Gohan had was to grow stronger. “Gohan!” The Warrior Namek Soreth called out to the Super Saiyan. “Elder Argo is requesting your presence once again.” Soreth said as Gohan turned around. “Understood.” Gohan responded as he gave the sky one final glance. The father could feel the impending conflict in his very bones. Aisu would no doubt make his move once the hybrid and the rest of the Legion gathered the Dragonballs. Hopefully the battle wouldn’t result in the near destruction of the planet. If there was any place Gohan felt was worth protecting it was Namek, the unknown emerald gem of the universe. Gohan hoped to bring Pan back to the emerald sphere in the future once she’d grown as a warrior. Assuming she desired to follow the same path as her father, grandfather and even great grandfather. As Gohan walked through the village the villagers bowed or waved respectfully. The Saiyan’s physical changes didn’t bother them in the slightest. In fact they were even more comfortable with Gohan now than they were previously. They’d all seen Gohan’s heroism for themselves; he was armed with both the Mystic Garments and the legendary Vacillating Onyx. In essence Gohan was the groomed prodigy of Lazarus. To them Gohan wasn’t just some Saiyan, he was family and was to be trusted just as much as Argo and even as much as Flute and Locke. Tales of Gohan’s strength had already begun to spread, soon every Namek would know of Son Gohan. “Hello Gohan.” Argo said as his ally walked into his abode. “Argo.” Gohan said with a respectful nod. “How are things? Have you grown used to that new body of yours and the power that it has afforded you?” The elder decided to start with small talk rather than cutting straight to the issue. “Things are great. This body feels as it should, I feel at home in it. Both past and future flow through my veins, I can practically see the destiny you foretold for me. It is strange knowing that there was this other part of me dwelling within my soul.” Gohan said as he took a seat across from Argo. “Interesting, I am sorry I couldn’t warn you about all of this, but I thought it best to let you discover the truth of it all yourself.” Argo diverted his gaze. There was legitimate concern in his voice. “You were right to keep it from me Argo. I wouldn’t have believed you without having experienced it for myself.” “Well then that’s good, but tell me what of your affiliates, what do you intend to do about them?” Argo was referring to the Cursed Legion. “For now I must help them gather the Dragonballs. They want nothing more than to have a positive relationship with the Namekians. That is why I was sent here after all. Still I don’t know how long I will be able to assist them. Once all of this is over I’ll be leaving their ranks, my daughter is much more important to me now.” Gohan explained as he ran his index finger over the table’s surface, his mind was running amuck with thoughts of his daughter’s life till now. “I see…” Argo mused as he watched the hybrid. “Well I will continue to trust your judgment and help you find the next Dragonball.” The elder said with a friendly smile. “Elder Barot in the neighboring village has been having some issues with a rogue group of warriors, he’s asked if you could go over there and assist him in detaining them.” Argo explained. Gohan raised a brow; it was something of an odd request. Usually neighboring villages dealt with their own, and refrained from asking for such assistance. Still Gohan couldn’t refuse, especially when a Dragonball was involved. “That’s not a problem, I can leave to assist Elder Barot right away.” Gohan said as he started to get up from his seat. “Excellent! Elder Barot has most of the details on the rogues, from what I understand there are three of them and they’re quite powerful. I am not entirely sure what made them turn away from the warriors’ teachings.” “I’ll be sure to get all the details from Elder Barot once I arrive. Where exactly is his village?” “Just a few miles south of here, you will know it when you see it. Elder Barot trains most of the warriors so his village is designed much differently than our own.” Argo explained. “Alright.” Gohan said with a nod. “I’ll get going then, I’ll see you once everything is settled.” The Saiyan said with a reassuring smile. The hybrid was undeniably eager to test his strength against other warriors. Post Word Count: 1,394 Total Word Count: 1,394/10,000 |

Chapter One: A Father’s Path -2- The Training Grounds The transformed warrior continued to rip through the emerald skies he traveled toward his destination, his raven eyes scanned the ocean below as he sought out the island. As always Gohan traveled without the aid of his scouter. The device was anything but appealing and it deviated from his new found method of training. Learning to sense the energies of others without the device had become a focus of Gohan’s. The scouters made too much noise and at times could be distracting as numbers meant nothing in terms of skill and ability. In the end the scouter system was outdated and Gohan sought the latest and greatest. “Ah, there it is.” Gohan said to himself as his eyes settled upon a grandiose island coming into view at the horizon’s edge. “The training grounds of the fledging warriors, led by Elder Barot.” Gohan said to himself as he picked up his pace. There was no doubt in his mind that the people of the village would sense his approach, but that didn’t worry him. It was damn near impossible for any of the Nameks to keep up with the strength, speed and power of an Ascended Super Saiyan. Gohan wasn’t one to be cocky, but in this instance he couldn’t help but to feel confident. He’d grown to be one of the most powerful warriors in the entire universe, but he could still become stronger. There was much for the son of Kakarot to learn and he knew it. Gohan welcomed new knowledge and strength, he wanted it in order to protect his daughter and ensure her own future. Unlike his own father, Gohan didn’t wish to be absent. Leaving Pan to her own devices for the rest of her life without the attention of her father wasn’t option. Gohan’s other-self drove him to become the father Pan would need in the distant future. The girl was a Saiyan after all. Pan’s power could grow to exceed all others. Well then here goes. Gohan thought as he touched down on the outskirts of the village. The smell of blood, sweat and tears greeted the Saiyan upon landing. Heh, this reminds me of a Saiyan battle camp. I guess Argo wasn’t kidding when he said his people were prepared for war if Titan or Frost’s armies invaded. The hybrid thought as he wandered into the unprotected village. Still this place seems a little extreme for the people of Namek. Gohan thought as he noted blood stains on the blue grass. No…something isn’t…right. The hybrid came to a halt and slowly spread his legs shoulder width apart. A pit formed in the Saiyan’s stomach as his senses alerted him to a lurking danger, one that threatened one of his strength and stature. An insidious laugh echoed all around the Saiyan. “Finally our so called savior has arrived.” A twisted voice howled. “Tell me Saiyan, did you really think your tainted presence wouldn’t kick start a rebellion of sorts!?” The voice scoffed as the laughter grew all the louder. “Who are you!?” Gohan demanded as his eyes darted from place to place. “What the hell have you done to Elder Barot and to the other warriors on this island!?” Gohan questioned as he tensed his muscles for the inevitable conflict. “Hahaha, isn’t it obvious!” The voice retorted. “Most everyone is dead; those who wouldn’t join hands in me and my brethren’s rebellion were slaughtered!” The Namek continued as a gust of wind blew past Gohan. Not wanting to give his lurking opponent an opening Gohan didn’t shield his eyes from the rising dust and debris. Instead he crouched low to the ground and kept his focus on his valued senses. At times like this Gohan wished he wasn’t so against using the scouters, however this was all part of the training. Learning to relinquish control and rely purely on his mind, body and soul. When the dust passed Gohan returned to a standing position, his foe had yet to make a move. “Argo was a fool to send you here, if he’d done his research he would’ve known the depth of what we were planning.” The Namek snickered as he continued to hide within the invisible shadows. “Still, we will get to kill you earlier than expected.” Moments later a single Namek appeared before Gohan. Blood that clearly belonged to his latest victims coated his hands and forearms. “So, you finally show yourself.” Gohan’s expression hardened as he locked eyes with his foe. “Yes, I was busy taking care of the last dissenter. You see those who joined my ideal vision have become a part of me.” The Namek’s grin widened as he cracked his knuckles in anticipation for the impending conflict. “Wait…you don’t mean…” Gohan’s voice trailed off as he recalled a conversation he’d had with Argo regarding Warrior Nameks. “Yes that’s right we’ve all fused together, I’ve taken in my brethren’s will and power! I and twenty others have become one!” The Namek howled as his aura exploded around his body. The blinding purple light ripped into the soil beneath the Namekian’s feet. His laughter grew louder as his aura expanded. Combining with his brothers gave the warrior an excessive amount of power, even without his scouter Gohan could see that for himself. Gohan was forced to shield his eyes from both the light and the swirling mass of dust and debris. “This is going to be much more difficult than I’d ever thought.” Gohan mumbled as he kept his best to make note of the raging Namekian’s position. “But I can’t let this guy have his way.” The Saiyan mused as he slowly retracted his arm. Gohan’s own aura sparked to life around his body. The ground beneath Gohan’s feet began to tremble as hurricane force winds spiraled out from his aura. A mighty roar escaped the son of Kakarot as his sapphire aura collided with the Warrior Namek’s own. The two forces grinded into one another as they fought for supremacy, pieces of the land broke away from their foundation and started to defy the laws of gravity. They were suspended by the Ki ripe air. “Well, it seems the stories of your power were true.” The Namek grinned as his muscles bulged. “However let’s see if that power is enough to stop us!” Reading one another perfectly, the two combatants darted toward each other. The twenty foot distance between the two was cut down instantly. Their fists collided with one another just as their auras had previously. A thundering shockwave erupted from their fists the instant they connected. Once more the ground was graced with an eternal blemish. Battle cries escape the duo as their fists parted and their bodies vanished from the realm of visibility. Less than a second later the two fighters appeared thousands of feet in the air, this time their forearms had slammed into one another. Once again a thundering shockwave was sent out into the airways from their impact. The two locked eyes as they tried to outdo one another; however there was no way either of them would give in. Fusing with twenty of his people has made him leagues stronger than even Salvia! Gohan thought as the two broke from their stalemate. Still, I can take him down. Gohan thought as his aura continued to burn around his body. “Are you sure about that Saiyan!” The Namek boomed as he appeared before Gohan, his fist cocked back in preparation to strike. Gasping the Saiyan crossed his arms in front of his face, preventing the warrior’s fist from colliding with his forehead. The Namek howled as he sent a flurry of blows straight into Gohan’s guard, each one was faster and more powerful than the last. Gohan felt a tingling sensation surge through his nervous system with each and every blow; however he kept up his defense. The time to counter hadn’t presented itself yet. This guy can probably read minds… Gohan thought as he kept defending himself from the warrior’s blows. “That’s right fool!” The Namek barked as he slammed both of his fists into Gohan’s arms forcing the father of Pan back a couple of yards. “Heh, seems you fell for it!” Gohan uncrossed his arms as he lurched forward. “Shit!” The Namek barked as he realized he’d given Gohan just enough space to launch a counter attack. The Saiyan rammed his right knee into the Namek’s face, forcing the emerald warrior’s head to whip back in agony. Not wasting anytime Gohan pulled back his knee and slammed his left elbow into the crown of his foe’s skull. Gohan then delivered a power packed right hook into the side of the anxious warrior’s face. The Namek was sent flying away from Gohan and across the emerald sky. Without pause Gohan gave chase to his foe and took hold of his left ankle. With a yell the Saiyan hurled his foe toward the island below. As soon as Gohan released the murderous Namek from his grasp he amassed a sphere of sapphire energy before his extended palm. The particles of Ki cultivated into a rotating sphere and began to draw in fragments of Gohan’s aura. “Eat this!” Gohan roared as he released the pent up energy in the form of an energy beam. ”You wretched fool!” The murderous Namek howled as his eyes caught sight of the impending energy wave. For a brief moment it seemed the Namek was going to gain control and escape the blast, but the island made that impossible. Just before he was to regain control the jade warrior collided with the unforgiving terra firma. Less than a second later Gohan’s attack consumed the warrior and the land around him. An explosion swept over the island, sending dust and debris in all directions. However, despite the resounding explosion and destructive antics the fight wasn’t over. The Namek was anything but dead and Gohan knew it. Post Word Count: 1,666 Total Word Count: 3,060/10,000 |

Chapter One: A Father’s Path -3- The Elder Who Cared Too Much The son of Kakarot remained airborne, his raven eyes trained on the settling dust and debris. It was impossible for such a weak energy wave to completely destroy the warrior hiding within the veil of dust. It wasn’t that Gohan held back or anything, it was just he could feel his foe’s existence below. Once they’d traded blows it became near impossible for Gohan to completely fall out of touch with his opponent’s strengths and weaknesses. Even without the ability to detect others, Gohan was becoming more and more aware of the feel of battle. At this point everything that Gohan felt boiled down to his experience as a warrior. “Come on out. I know you’re far from dead!” Gohan roared as he crossed his arms over his chest angrily. “Heh, I should have known you’d see through my ruse. After all, you were able to pick up on my telepathic abilities earlier, a feat you must be commended for.” The Namek said as he stepped from the shroud of debris, his power hungry eyes locked onto Gohan’s form. “Perhaps we should both quit holding back.” The Namek said as he dusted himself off. The warrior wore only a crimson battle vest and white martial arts pants. In essence he wore the typical attire of a Warrior Namek, only his build was much more impressive than the average Namek. That no doubt came from the fact he was a fused being and had taken on the physical properties of twenty other warriors. Slowly the Namek ascended toward Gohan, his arms were crossed over his chest as well. “You’re wondering just who am I aren’t you? And what my true purpose in this rebellion is.” The Namek grinned as he delved into Gohan’s mind once again. “Well I was once the one Argo and so many others referred to as Elder Barot.” The rejuvenated Barot said as his grin widened and his aura permeated his flesh. “What!? Why would you, an elder, do this to your own people!?” Gohan demanded as he uncrossed his arms and took up an aggressive stance. “Why? What an idiotic question! Look around you my fellow Namekians have done nothing but cower since the great famine! Our Super Namekian brethren had the power to warp reality and rule the entire universe! Yet they all were killed or banished in the great wars of old! My people should be at the top of the universal food chain, not you pitiful Saiyans, or the cursed Changelings!” Barot boomed as his aura manifested with the rage in his tone. “I will help my people rise from the ashes and usher in a new era for my brothers! A new breed of Namek will be sprung from me and me alone. I summoned you here simply to prove my ideal. We Nameks will crush even the mightiest of Super Saiyans!” Barot continued to howl on as his aura spiraled toward the heavens above. Despite the lack of thunderclouds the sound of crackling lightning greeted the battlefield. A long and drawn out sigh escaped Gohan before he spoke. “I see. You’re just as foolish as the Nameks of old. You don’t value the peace all of your trials have afforded you. Sparking the flames of war is something I cannot allow you to do Elder Barot.” Gohan’s expression hardened as his sapphire aura became tainted by a golden light. “You want to prove you have the strength to take on a Super Saiyan, fine. However, you won’t win. Once I defeat you I’m taking the Dragonball in your possession.” Gohan declared as his body became consumed by a golden light. Within an instant the son of Kakarot took on the glistening form of the legendary warrior. His eyes changed from jet black to a confident teal. Gohan’s raven colored hair became a luminous gold and its characteristics became more defined. The initial Super Saiyan transformation had become second nature for the father of Pan. In a way Gohan embodied what it meant to ascend to the ranks of legend. His solemn expression masked the power at his command and his desire to fulfill his unknowable destiny. Under Gohan’s ever vigilant eye the flames of war would not consume this planet as it did Frost and Vegeta. “You think you can stop me!?” Barot laughed manically, his mind had been clouded by those he’d let into his frail soul. “This power is far greater than you can possibly imagine! Let me show you the will of my brethren!” Barot boomed as he launched himself toward Gohan. “Say goodbye Saiyan!” Barot roared as his fist shot forward. A resounding shockwave ripped through the heavens, the clouds that surveyed the battle were banished to the four winds. Gohan’s hand came before Barot’s fist; he’d caught with ease and remained unmoved. Gohan’s eyes remained trained on the now shocked Barot. Before the Namek could make any sort of plea Gohan’s drove his vacant fist straight into Barot’s stomach. Saliva was forcibly ejected from the jade warrior’s gullet as his body was thrown into a state of painstaking shock. Gohan released Barot’s hand and allowed the pained elder to slowly back away from him. Gohan watched as Barot clenched his warped abdominals. The Super Saiyan transformation had nearly doubled Gohan’s power, and Barot could barely handle such a meager boost. The son of Goku could still push it farther and ascend if he so desired. “Give up Barot, your dream is fruitless.” Gohan spoke in a commanding tone. The expression his face added to nature of his tone. “Fool!” Barot barked as more spit splashed from his salivary glands. “I will never give up; I will ascend to greatness like my forefathers!” As Barot spoke lightning danced overhead. “I will become the first Super Namek to rise from nothing; I have acquired the blessing of the five star ball and the blessings of my students!” Barot howled as he looked toward the raging heavens. “I will show you Gohan, the true power of a Namekian!” As the elder gave his final cry a bolt of lightning streamed down from the heavens and consumed his form. At first the airways became filled with cries of agony, but those cries quickly shifted fits of hellacious laughter. Gohan’s eyes widened as the yellow lightning was drawn into Barot’s newly birthed aura. Barot’s power was actually on the rise. Barot had begged the universe to transform him into what he desired to become the most, a Super Namek. Now that very desire was being fulfilled. The ancient power of his race was coursing through his veins. “Tch, this is going to take longer than I thought.” Gohan said under his breath as he watched Barot undergo the final stages of his transformation. “Yes, this is it.” Barot grinned as the lightning that consumed his being dissipated. The storm that raged overhead receded leaving only its newly christened Super Namek. “This is the ancient power of my banished brethren!” Barot exclaimed as his aura erupted around his body. Unlike before Barot’s aura was a shining gold just like Gohan’s. White sparks of plasmatic energy crackled through his aura, just as Gohan’s Super Saiyan Two form had blue sparks crackling through it. Like Gohan, Barot had ascended to the realm of legends. “Do you see Gohan? This is the power that you will never attain.” Barot licked his lips deviously. “Yeah, well we’ll see if that boost makes you into a challenge.” The second round was set to begin. Both warriors had been transformed by the will of the expansive heritage. Only one would be able to walk away the victor and prove once and for all which path was right and just. Chapter Two: The Legendary Clash -1- Surveying From The Unknown Unlike the rest of the Cursed Legion, Kizura had been keeping a watchful eye over the son of Kakarot. The demonic scientist was the most interested in Gohan’s potential. There was no denying the fact that Gohan had the strength to topple the great Toshin. It was only a matter of time until the hybrid unlocked that potential. In a way it saddened Kizura that he was the only one who took so much intrigue in the boy’s power. However, it solidified his desire to break from the legion. The more Kizura watched the easier it was for him to realize that the alliance wouldn’t hold out for much longer. Gohan was the one who carried the most power outside of the trinity, and he was the one who had good relations with the people of Namek. The other members of the legion weren’t in such a good standing. Kizura didn’t blame the slug people for their distrust of the legion. The more Kizura watched Gohan the more he started to rethink his stance on things. Perhaps there was a universal good that needed to be upheld. If there were such a force Gohan undoubtedly embodied it. The hybrid’s desire to fend of the forces of darkness and his drive to protect his fledging daughter touched the demon’s once dark heart. How will you deal with this one Gohan. Kizura thought as he watched Gohan’s clash with Barot from the safety of his personal quarters. You’ve done well up until now, but your opponent has risen to a level comparable to your own. Kizura thought as he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back in his chair. Prove to me you have what it takes to succeed in enforcing the greater good. The demon’s eyes narrowed from behind his battle visor. Kizura trusted in Gohan’s power, but he always took solace in seeing it for himself. Kizura had served Toshin for eons, the thought of betraying him tore him apart, however he was compelled to do so. The demon’s conscious was starting to creep back into the forefront. “If Gohan succeeds I can finally approach him about all of this.” Kizura mused as his gaze wandered toward the window. “Lord Sanosuke may even join in the cause; the return of his dear son is changing him as well.” The crimson haired demon was graced with a weary smile. “It seems having a family changes everyone and everything doesn’t it?” Kizura laughed to himself. While Kizura reflected upon a future wrought by Gohan’s actions, another party observed the battle. Aisu, the obsessed Icer dwelled within his quarters. Just as it was in Kizura’s own quarters down on the planet below, Aisu’s monitor honed in on the battle between Gohan and Barot. The Icer was absurdly pleased with Gohan’s mental and physical growth. The new found confidence in Gohan’s eyes egged Aisu on. The Saiyan’s power had grown quite a bit since his encounter with Kontar, yet he still wasn’t ready to face Aisu. The rogue Changeling was on par with the great Toshin in terms of power and was leagues above the banished Frost. Gohan may’ve grown, but his maturation was far from complete. “The training you’ve undergone is truly remarkable my dear friend.” Aisu mused as he picked up his glass of blood red wine. “You’ve ascended far beyond your previous limitations. That new body of yours can produce much more power.” Aisu licked his lips before sipping from his glass. Aisu’s obsession over Saiyan power and Gohan specifically was starting to consume him. The Dragonballs grew less and less interesting, wishing for immortality started to fade from Aisu’s list of desires. In some ways death was climbing on that list. Aisu had existed for eons and with each passing century he failed to feel truly alive. One could say that all Aisu really desired was a true challenge, one that would allow him to tango with lady death herself. It was a sickening mentality, but it was only that only a being such as Aisu could understand. Living for so long without a true test or challenge becomes exhaustingly boring and practically meaningless. “Should you fail to defeat him Gohan, it will only serve to prove that I should ascend toward godhood. If I am truly the most powerful being in this universe I deserve to rule over this universe both in spirit and in physicality.” Aisu mused as he wrapped his knuckles against the metal table. Aisu truly believed himself to be a being worthy of godhood, his time in this universe proved to him that he was indeed the most powerful being of all. Each time he ventured to be challenged, the challenger was squashed like the insect he, or in some cases she, truly was. However, Gohan was different. He was the first Saiyan half-breed Aisu had ever come across. The fiery look in his eyes and his potential for godly power was unlike anything Aisu had seen in any of his former enemies. The challenge that Aisu so dreamed of rested within the Saiyan’s eyes, and that much Aisu was certain of. Wishing for immortality before testing his theory would be pointless. So for now simply watching and sending enforcers down to the planet’s surface was his only option. The Dragonballs could be retrieved once all was said and done. “Now then Gohan, show me that Super Saiyan power of yours. Consume that so called Super Namek with fear and anguish.” Aisu grinned as he continued to watch the battle unfold. Post Word Count: 938 Total Word Count: 5,301/10,000 |

Chapter Two: The Legendary Clash -2- The Next Level Gohan and Barot’s battle continued to rage across the skies. Each strike they sent out into the waking world resulted in a thundering boom that could be heard across the planet. Gohan and Barot’s war was far from restricted to the island they first made contact. The combatants knew nothing of boundaries. At times their battle led them high into the upper atmosphere and at other times they did battle in the depths of the ocean. Their colliding fists destroyed the structures that dared to stand in their path. Entire islands were dragged into the ocean from whence they came. Gohan and Barot desired only to come out the victor in this battle. The planet they both loved so deeply meant nothing, they only sought to walk away from their conflict with the crown of victory. “Not bad Super Saiyan!” Barot roared as his forearm collided with Gohan’s own for at least the one-hundredth time. “However, you won’t be walking away the victor! I shall prove the might my people can attain if they abandon their fears!” Barot declared as he rammed his knee into Gohan’s chest. A pained cry escaped the son of Kakarot as the oxygen resting his lungs was forced back out into the air. “See you’re nothing!” Barot roared as he delivered a powerful double hammer fist to the top of Gohan’s head. The Super Saiyan was sent flying toward the island below them; this one had yet to be touched by their physical bodies. Gohan collided with the unloving ground at gut tearing speeds. A plume of dust and debris was created upon impact. The dust and debris laden plume rose toward the emerald heavens as its resident forced himself to his feet. Gohan was indeed powerful, but he was starting to lose his advantage. Barot was exceptionally powerful, so much so that Gohan was being backed into ascending to an even greater level of power. Of course Gohan was proud of his true Super Saiyan strength; he didn’t want to refer to it every time he was drawn into a battle. However, that choice was starting to slip away from being an option. Failing here meant Namek’s future would be in danger. All would live within the crazed Barot and war would once again spill out into the known universe. Death and destruction would consume the realm Gohan came to know as his home. The wars of old would return and hardly anyone would be able to stop it. The Saiyans had been pushed to the brink and the Changelings were anything but a threat. The universe needed this peace and stability to last for quite a while. Looks like I am out of options. Gohan thought as he climbed to his feet, his arms hung by his sides as he hunched forward. It’s time I show Barot the true power of the Saiyan race. Gohan stood fully erect and rolled his hands into fists. A battle hardened expression formed on his face as a devious glint glistened in his emerald spheres. The ground beneath Gohan’s feet began to tremble; it knew full-well what was to come. The planet had seen Gohan’s legendary power in action before, it knew exactly what to expect from the son of Kakarot. Its fear was more than warranted. Still, despite the land’s fear it begged Gohan to release his true power. For without Gohan’s strength Barot would rise to consume this peaceful land and Namek would be forever changed. The Super Saiyan clenched his teeth as white plasmatic sparks crackled off his tensing muscles. Slowly Gohan’s legs spread shoulder with apart and his aura sputtered into his existence. The expanding shroud of dust and debris was quickly disbanded revealing the transforming Super Saiyan to the world. A pleased grin formed on Barot’s face as he watched Gohan from above. More than anything Barot wished to test his new found power and facing an Ascended Super Saiyan would give him just the test he needed. Sadly for the Super Namek however, he had no idea just how powerful Gohan was in such a state. The young man’s new body had a much better handle on the ascended power that slept within him. This ascension would be far greater than the ones that came before it. Gohan’s clenched teeth spread apart as a thundering roar escaped his throat. The Saiyan’s aura expanded and consumed the entirety of his being and the island upon which he stood. A luminous golden light filled the region as Gohan’s energy level continued to soar. Pieces of the ground broke away from their resting place and defied gravity’s control. Gohan’s aura had ripened the air with a disturbing amount of electricity and Ki. However, once the light dimmed the rocks were returned to gravity’s control. The ominous sound of crackling sparks resonated within the dimming light. “Such power…” Barot said to himself as he unfolded his arms in disbelief. “To think that a Saiyan could take on such a form.” The Namekian said as he looked on at the transformed warrior. Gohan’s hair had grown ever so slightly and each strand became more defined and sharper. The strand of hair that once lazily extended from his widow’s peak and down toward his eye brows had shaped up as well. It had become much more pronounced and much longer. The strand leaned to the right and stopped just below his nose. Aside from the change in Gohan’s hair there was also a noticeable difference in the behavior of his aura. There were blue sparks crackled through it and the aura itself had become more violent and prominent. Overall Gohan appeared to be much more ominous, his muscles had bulged ever so slightly and his expression lacked the slightest sign of mercy or forgiveness. Gohan’s Saiyan blood had been brought forth in all its battle hungry glory. “So this is your true form?” Barot called out to the Saiyan hundreds of feet below him. “Show me if all this is just a front, or if you’re really as powerful as I believe you to be.” Barot commanded as he took on a combat stance. “With pleasure.” Gohan said under his breath. In the next instant Gohan vanished from sight, his speed had increased by roughly three fold. The Ascended Super Saiyan appeared to Barot’s right and rammed his fist into the side of Barot’s face. The shocked Namekian released a pained cry as his face contorted and his neck turned forcibly. Gohan followed through with his strike and launched Barot away from him. Barot’s form was sent flying uncontrollably across the emerald sky. Not wanting to give his foe a chance to recover Gohan gave chase to his opponent. Well before the Super Namek could regain control Gohan appeared above him and slammed his fist into Barot’s chest. More spit was ejected from the Namek’s mouth as he was sent rocketing toward the ocean below. The water’s surface split down its center as Barot was sent straight toward its floor. Gohan watched as Barot’s body bounce off the ocean floor just before the rising ocean walls collapsed back into their proper place. The Ascended Super Saiyan remained in position, his eyes trained on the ocean below. Gohan’s aura continued to dance about his form; he knew that Barot was far from dead. Chapter Two: The Legendary Clash -3- When Powers Collide Barot erupted from his watery grave, blood leaked from the wounds that spanned his body. Barot’s collision with the soil at the ocean floor was far from pleasant. The impact left an eternal blemish upon the ocean floor, displacing the raging ocean. Slowly Barot ascended until he was eye level with the son of Kakarot. Labored breaths escaped the Super Namek, his muscles ached and his bones felt like they could turn to jelly at any moment. Gohan was far more powerful than Barot had led himself to believe. Conquering a warrior of Gohan’s stature was clearly impossible for the Namekian, however he didn’t back down. This was a fight to the death; there was no room for cowardice. This fight was simply affirmation that the people of Namek would never rise to the glory their malign ancestors once held. Instead the people of the emerald planet were forced back into their homes and to live lives of mysticism and peace. It was an existence that Barot couldn’t appreciate, it made his stomach turn and grinded against the nature of his very soul. “You’re indeed powerful Gohan.” Barot spoke through his heavy breaths. Barot was clearly trying to buy time, which Gohan graciously gave to him. “However, don’t think you’ll walk away from this without being harmed.” Barot let a grin spread across his bloodied lips. “Barot I gave you the chance to give up earlier and you didn’t take it. You chose the course of this battle; I hope you can rest easy in the next world with that decision.” Gohan’s voice held no sympathy, at this point he was determined to kill the Super Namek before him. Before Barot could make some sort of response the hybrid lurched forward. The air around Gohan’s accelerating form distorted and made a visible cone around him. A thundering boom resounded through the heavens as Gohan broke through the sound barrier. Within the next instant Gohan’s left shoulder collided with the center of Barot’s frame. Once again the Namek couldn’t react to Gohan’s increased speed and power. Just like before Barot was thrown across the sky with no control over his body. Gohan accelerated once again, still breaking through the sound barrier as if it was second nature. The Ascended Super Saiyan came before Barot and released a rally of blows into the Namekian’s body. Gohan forcibly pulled some of his punches in order to prevent Barot from being sent toward the terra firma below. Each strike Gohan laid into his foe resulted in pain laden scream and the sound of crunching bones with a hint of contorting flesh. “I think this is where we end this Barot.” Gohan whispered as he placed his palm upon his near dead foe’s chest. “It was fun while it lasted, but you’ve made your choice. May you find peace in the afterlife.” Gohan’s expression softened briefly as his eyes settled upon the unconscious face of Barot. The two still flew through the sky, only Barot did so thanks to the impact of Gohan’s initial shoulder ram. Particles of blue energy amassed before Gohan’s palm and slowly cultivated into a rather large sphere. Barot’s body became impressed against the expanding sphere, however he continued on his trajectory. As soon as the mass of energy reached its peak it released an ear splitting crack. With a roar Gohan unleashed the mass of energy into Barot’s form. It consumed the Super Namek and turned his body into nothing more than a cloud of cinders. Gohan’s ascended power was more than enough to completely destroy the Namek of old and thus the rebellion was brought to an abrupt end. “You made the wrong choice Barot.” Gohan said as he lowered his arm and took up a vertical stance. “Now then I should probably return to the village and get that Dragonball.” Gohan said as he turned his gaze toward the north. Gohan’s battle with Barot drew him a long way from the island that housed his prize; however that was something of a blessing in disguise. If Gohan and Barot had unleashed their full power on that island there would be nothing left. Destroying what he sought to attain would be beyond foolish and well counterproductive. “I need to make taking on this form smoother as well.” Gohan thought as he looked himself over. The strain on his body wasn’t substantial, but he could feel it. Just as he had mastered the initial Super Saiyan transformation he needed to master becoming an Ascended Super Saiyan. This form was one he needed to embrace fully, especially when it came time to do battle with Aisu. With that in mind Gohan remained in his transformed state and blast off. Just as he did before he broke through the sound barrier with no effort. The power afforded to him in this state was greater than he even believed possible, however he knew that it still wasn’t enough. Gohan could still grow stronger, he could still train harder. Hell he would have to in order to take down the infamous Aisu. The Icer wouldn’t rest until the two had their battle and in a way nor would Gohan. Pan was important yes, but Aisu was still a threat. A threat that would no doubt follow the Super Saiyan back to his birthplace, and such evil couldn’t be allowed to step foot on the world of humanity. Soon Aisu, soon we will have the battle that you oh so desire. Gohan thought as he continued to tear through the skies. Until then keep your men off this planet. Just watch and wait in anticipation. The Saiyan’s eyes fell upon the island that housed his prize. As Gohan descended toward it he released his transformation. It was as if a weight had been lifted from the young man’s shoulders. Here we are. Gohan thought as he stepped through the uninhabited threshold. He located Barot’s hut rather quickly, it was the only one that wasn’t painted in purple plasma. Inside the hut rested an altar and atop that altar was the Five Star Dragonball. Gohan was officially once step closer to saying farewell to The Cursed Legion. Chapter Three: The Conclusion -1- Put In Motion Gohan’s defeat of Barot resonated across the emerald sphere, Gohan’s true ascended power had become known to all who held even the slightest bit of interest. Both Aisu and Kizura finally got to see the power their supposed target could produce. With the power of a Super Saiyan Two Gohan threatened to undo all of the work done by both the Cursed Legion, and even Aisu’s grand army. Gohan’s lean toward the light made him a threat to all those who fell under the banner of darkness and evil. The heroic speech of a Super Saiyan from another time and place was embodied within the son of Kakarot. He was truly the hope of the universe, the answer to all living things that cried out for peace. Gohan had become the light within the darkness and some would even say truth. The son of Kakarot had become a true ally to good and a nightmare to all that worshipped at evil’s tainted altar. “So Gohan, it seems you might actually be ready to face me.” Aisu grinned as he got up from his armchair. The glass of wine he’d been drinking earlier had been emptied. “Korvak!” Aisu commanded for his top advisor to make himself known. In less than half a minute the blue alien entered his master’s chambers. “I believe it is time to go down to the planet and say hello to our dear friend.” A devious grin spread across Aisu’s face. A shocked expression spread across Korvak’s face. The advisor was under the impression that both he and Aisu would wait until The Cursed Legion had acquired the remaining Dragonballs. Then in one fell swoop they would be able to eliminate their enemies, and take the Dragonballs for themselves. Aisu’s sudden change in plans worried the alien; however he knew it was best to keep his personal feelings hidden. Despite his usefulness to the rogue Icer there was no doubt that Aisu would rob Korvak of his life if he decided to act independently. “Understood my lord, shall I prepare the vessel for departure?” Korvak questioned as he gave his master a respectful bow. Aisu stared at Korvak for a moment. Even though Korvak held his tongue Aisu could tell that Korvak didn’t approve of his decision. The aura that permeated Krovak’s being betrayed his façade. For a moment Aisu pondered if he should call his subordinate out on his suppressed feelings, or if he should simply let it pass. At least the alien was attempting to hide what was going through his mind. It wasn’t Korvak’s fault that Aisu had an uncanny ability. Seeing into the hearts and minds of others was a skill that usually escaped those of a malign nature. However, Aisu’s eons of existence afforded him perks that he wouldn’t have had otherwise. Like Gohan, Aisu was a being that went against the natural grain of the universe. His strength was far greater than most who hailed from his race. His mind was sharper and much more calculating and his very body deviated from the average Changeling design. Some could argue that Aisu was an Icer in their truest and highest form. “Korvak…”Aisu called to his bowing subordinate. “Do you truly believe that I am rushing out ahead of the objective?” Aisu waited for Korvak’s eyes to meet his own before he posed his question. Korvak gulped, Aisu had seen through his ruse. “No sir, I was simply surprised by your sudden desire to go planet side.” Korvak selected each word carefully. The alien didn’t want to draw in any of Aisu’s infamous malice. Being slain by the trademarked Icer Death Beam attack wasn’t something Korvak wanted to have the pleasure of experiencing. Especially when that Death Beam would originate from the most powerful Changeling of all, Korvak was indeed a cautious man. “Heh you haven’t seen the true power Gohan possess, not since he became a man. His strength as an Ascended Super Saiyan is indeed comparable to my own. Using my full power against him seems as if it is warranted.” Aisu continued to eye Korvak, he hadn’t decided if his advisor’s fate was death just yet, it all depending upon how Korvak navigated the proverbial minefield. “I understand sir. You desire to test your strength at their fullest, however what of the Dragonballs? If he is as powerful as you suspect him to be your fight could destroy half the planet.” Korvak was sure to plead in the direction that Aisu’s power was indeed great. “Immortality and ascending beyond this realm was our original goal before you met the son of Kakarot, should we not keep our focus on that goal?” Korvak questioned. A laugh escaped Aisu as he heard Korvak’s speech. “You have not lived for as long as I have Korvak. This scenario is one that is new to me. Should I turn my back on it and ascend beyond this realm and claim the title of God I will no longer to be able to test myself against anyone.” Aisu explained as he folded his arms over his chest. “You ask the right questions however, which is why I’ll spare your life. Your naivety is warranted.” Aisu concluded as he started walking toward his subordinate. “Now then, make the necessary preparations.” The Changeling commanded as he walked past his subordinate. “If you’re so worried about losing the chance to attain the Dragonballs you can gather what we need while I take care of Gohan.” Aisu added just before he exited his chambers. Soon the fated clash would envelop planet Namek. Light and darkness would collide to decide the ultimate victor. Post Word Count: 951 Total Word Count: 8,526/10,000 |

Chapter Three: The Conclusion -2- Kizura’s True Motive The crimson haired demon howled with laughter as he watched the conclusion of Gohan’s and Barot’s battle. Gohan’s new body afforded him a power that exceeded Kizura’s wildest dreams. The son of Goku had risen to a level that was undeniably comparable to Toshin’s own. The hidden potential that rested within the hybrid had been awoken, yet there was obviously still room for Gohan to improve. Even if Kizura hadn’t seen Gohan’s battle with Barot he could actually feel Gohan’s increased power. In fact, Kizura was confident that all who resided on this planet picked up on Gohan’s excessively high power level. The time for secrecy was essentially over. It was time for Kizura to make his move and get all of his ducks in a row so to speak. Kizura’s laughter quieted down as he removed himself from his seat and made his way toward the center of the room. The demon took a deep breath as he drew his ivory toned blade. Kizura then removed his face mask and tossed it toward his bed. Aside from Kizura’s dual colored eyes the demon looked perfectly normal, hell one could argue that he looked like an average human. I call upon the shinobi wreathed in shadow. Kizura chanted as he stabbed his blade into the metal flooring beneath him. I call out to the herald of ultimate power and the true master of demon kind. Kizura envisioned the shinobi clad Hitori. From the seeping crest within the depths I ask to be visited by the true master of all things from hell. Kizura maintained that image of Sanosuke in his mind’s eye. Slowly a dark vortex appeared across from the chanting demon. The vortex seemingly tore through the very fabric of space and time. A gloved hand reached from the center of the dark gateway and out stepped the infamous Hitori. The shinobi’s stone eyes settled upon the crimson haired demon. “Ah, Kizura.” Sanosuke said as he crossed his arms over his chest. “I am surprised that you’ve decided to summon me in such a way. I assume you’ve thought things over?” The demon hybrid questioned. Kizura slowly kneeled before Sanosuke. “Yes and I also have important news for you regarding the boy.” Kizura kept his head bowed and his eyes closed as he spoke to Sano. “Have you now? Has he ascended and found the doorway to that impressive power of his?” “Yes he has. However, he’s done so in an even more profound way than I’d originally expected. Another part of him from another reality took refuge in his soul. In that alternate realm Gohan was the most powerful being in the known universe. The forces of darkness banished him to our reality, but his body was destroyed in the process. That Gohan’s soul took refuge within our Gohan’s.” Kizura explained as he started to open his eyes and turned his head up at the shinobi. “All of that Gohan’s memories infused with our Gohan’s, and aged him to what we can presume is his physical prime. Essentially he now has a body that can utilize the intense power he had sleeping within him.” A glint of joy formed in Sanosuke’s eyes, this news was wonderful to say the least. “Good he will make the perfect mentor for my dear son once he crosses over. I assume he’s started to peel away from the influence of the legion?” Sano raised a brow as he posed his question. “Yes, he’s starting to find value in life itself. The memories of his former-self caused that seed to take root and blossom. Soon Gohan will turn away from the legion of his own accord. However I would like to make him aware of our plans. Toshin cannot be allowed to proceed with the restoration of Nishar; bringing such a place into the realm of mortals would simply allow history to repeat itself.” Sanosuke mulled over the idea for a moment. “Make him aware of what is to come. We will need to his help to pick off the others. Once Daikon and Leon make their own wishes Gohan may take the second wish for himself. Once the Dragonballs have released their energy I’ll be able to use that residual mystical energy to bring back Felix.” Sanosuke recanted the plan. “Very well my liege, from here on I will do whatever you ask of me. Watching Gohan grow and ascend to greatness is all I need at this point. Warriors such as him are so rare in this realm.” Kizura stood up as he pledged his loyalty. “Indeed they are.” Sanosuke’s stone spheres slowly became consumed by the design of the Ryuugan. “Now then it is time I take my leave from this place. We must be prepared to move at any moment, Toshin could begin to suspect us soon.” As Sanosuke spoke his form was pulled into a spiraling vortex that was generated by his glowing eyes. Unlike other demons Sanosuke could freely travel between realms at any time. His Ryuugan gifted him with a plethora of abilities, and that was just one of them. Kizura let a smile crack his lips as he equipped his facemask once again. The backroom deal with the Hitori had been sealed. Soon everything would be turned on its head and the legion would be crushed form within. If it hadn’t been for the addition of Gohan none of this would have been possible. Toshin would always reign supreme and his will would be the only will. Kizura had served under Toshin for thousands of years, but with each passing century Kizura’s own desires were starting to come to the fore. As a being originally born in the pursuit of knowledge, entities that broke from the norm always caught Kizura’s attention. Much like Aisu, Kizura wanted to see what this universe had to offer him and those that existed within it. For now Kizura was here for the ride, and it seemed that the forces of good offered the greatest opportunity to learn and grow mentally. Post Word Count: 1,019 Total Word Count: 9,545/10,000 |

Chapter Three: The Conclusion -3- The Return Gohan returned to the Village of Lazarus, Five Star Dragonball in hand. The inhabitants all watched the Saiyan hybrid as he ventured through the village. Every one of them had sensed Gohan’s immense power, and had seen the battle between him and Barot through their mind’s eye. The doubts that a select few had placed upon the son of Kakarot had been erased. Gohan was truly here to help the Namekian people as its hero and not its ultimate destroyer. With the amount of power the Super Saiyan generated there was no doubt that he could bring this entire planet to its knees in one fell swoop. However, instead the Saiyan hybrid decided to defend this planet and prevent it from being baptized in the hellish flames of war. Gohan was to be trusted just as much as the great Flute & Locke. “Elder Argo I’ve returned with the Dragonball.” Gohan called out to his Namekian mentor as he entered Argo’s home. “Ah yes, we’ve all seen and heard the battle you had with former Elder Barot.” Argo said as he entered the main room. “I am sorry that I didn’t investigate further, else I could’ve given you some kind of warning, or been of much greater assistance to you.” Argo sought forgiveness from Gohan. “There is no need to be sorry. You could not have known things would turn out that way. I was more than capable of taking down Barot. I am sorry for those who wasted their lives on Barot’s ideal and those who died because they didn’t align with Barot’s ideas.” Gohan diverted his gaze as he thought back to the blood stained huts that lined the village. “Our brothers are now in the next world, there they will be judged for their decisions. Do not let your mind be plagued with the crimes of our brothers. You stopped what could have turned into a civil war that would’ve consumed our weary planet.” Argo stepped toward Gohan. “For that I must thank you.” The elder said as he placed his hand on Gohan’s shoulder, as a father would his son. “You’ve grown far stronger since coming here Gohan. However, your training is far from over. The Icer that you warned me about, Aisu, is making preparations to come down to our planet. As you are now I fear that you may not have enough power to stop him. You must master that transformation just as you did the initial Super Saiyan transformation of yours.” Argo explained as he removed his hand from Gohan’s shoulder. “Once you’ve mastered that form travel to the great spire, there you’ll meet the guardians of this planet, masters Flute and Locke. They will help you grow even stronger, and hopefully it will be enough to topple Aisu.” “Aisu is coming here…” Gohan repeated. “I understand Elder Argo, I will do my best to prepare and will grow even stronger in the meantime. I refuse to allow this planet to fall under his control.” Gohan balled his hands into fists as he made his declaration. Soon the ultimate battle would begin and Namek would once again be the battleground. Post Word Count: 534 Total Word Count: 10,079/10,000 |
