Psalm 91:11 - Day 14 "For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]." Psalm 91:11 God has blessed us in so many ways that often times we are not even aware of it. That is why we are taking the time to go over the benefits and gifts He has blessed us with. Sometimes we need to refresh our memories and then make a concerted effort to hold fast onto the things given to us by God thus not only being aware of them, we utilize them as God would have us do. Yesterday Billy spoke about a miracle when driving where you avoided an accident that you were sure you were going to be hurt. This has happened a couple of times to me that I still shake my head in wonderment and awe of God's provision of protection for my daughters who were in the car with me and myself. There is no way in the natural that we could have avoided colliding with the vehicles that were coming towards us - no way. It was a miracle for sure! God had His angels there to protect us and I thank Him for that, praising His goodness and His faithfulness. I wonder how many other times He has protected us, that He had His angels protect us from harm and injury. When I was a young child of six or seven I was hit by a car while riding my bike. All I can remember is that my buckled shoes had come off my feet. I was taken to the hospital but all I had was a few cuts and brusies, nothing more. A few years ago I related this to a friend who is a nurse. She informed me that it has been reported that it takes a lot of force to have one's shoes come off the feet in an accident! I was surprised to hear this as my injuries had been so minimal. Proof again that God protects us in ways we are not even mindful of many cases. I now wonder if an angel caught me mid-flight and lovingly placed me on the ground. Two and a half years ago two of our daughters and granddaughter were involved in a multi-vehicle accident where the cars were stopped at a traffic light on the highway. The car behind theirs was rear ended by a eighteen wheeler whose driver, we are told, had either fallen asleep behind the wheel or did not see the traffic light. That car was crushed under the front end of the truck and hit our daughter's car which in turn hit the car in front of hers sending them both into tail spins and hitting other cars in their path. When rescue workers came to the sign of the accident they knew they were going to have to remove dead bodies from the wrecks of metal. Many were sent to the emergency room but only one person was hospitalized that day and no one had died from that accident. Many miracles happened that day and we praise God for each and every one of them. I want to focus on one of them and that was the protection of an angel given to our granddaughter who was in the back seat who was eleven months at the time (oh my! Verse 11 of Psalm 91! Yes Lord, thank You!!!). The windows on the car broke inward upon impact and there was glass all around little Crystal (our grandaughter- crystal/glass, what a testimony she has to tell in the days ahead!) but she had no cuts what so ever. The only things that she had on her body to show for the accident was a red mark on her chest where the seat belt went over and a red mark on her forehead which looked like lips. Her mother said it was the impression left by an angel who protected Crystal by shielding her from harm and then kissing her forward before they left. We fully believe that is what happened. Thank You Father! Thank You Jesus! And thank You for the angels You send to protect and watch over us!!! Dear Saints, what an awesome God we serve and His protection is beyond amazing, it is incredible, miraculous!!! Today ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your remembrance the times He has protected You or sent His angels out to keep you from great injury or death. Remember His benefits and bless Him for them. He is worthy of our praise and our faithfulness to Him. |
