1Q Could you define "demonic obsession" and "demonic oppression"? What's the difference between being "obsessed" and being "oppressed" by evil spirits in soul or body? Do they signify different levels of influence from the evil spirits? If so, does it mean obsession always takes place before oppression or the other way?
Obsession describes control from the mental and emotional perspective. This could be via a thought or an emotional trauma or hurt. In the end a constant pattern of thought or emotion controls everything in the person's life. In oppression, it is in the physical body area and can (but not always relate to a physical ailment - it could be just a physical discomfort or habit) lie within the subconscious autobody functions of the person. There are degrees of obsession and oppression and either one need not take place before the other. Some oppression and obsession comes from genetic lines - weakness of frequencies in a race (all genetic races have their inherent strengths and weaknesses), culture, ancestral habits or diets, family, etc - which are taken advantage of by the enemy.
2Q Since a Christian cannot be possessed by evil spirits, when he is oppressed demonically in body, does it mean that the evil spirits are inside his physical body although not his spirit because he's born again? This is a common teaching among Pentecostal/Charismatic deliverance ministries, they also believe that born again Christians cannot be possessed, but since oppression is of the "body," not spirit, so casting demons out of a Christian's "body" is Scriptural. What are your thoughts.
No, a weakness in a physical body can be taken advantage of without geographical dependence - all in needs is similarity of frequency. Something like a radio, TV or phone connection to create the symptom or habit. The language of the deliverance can be 'out' 'cease' etc. as these are all human terms to elicit freedom - the Spiritual World answers according to the sense of what we need in our communication and not to our accuracy of technical knowledge in our language - the same with the enunciation of Jesus' Name. What we belief should always be Scripturally based and there are no biblical examples of casting out devils from Christians. The example of Simeon in Acts 8 seems to indicate that he needs to self-repent and self-free himself from the root of bitterness through his own repentance and knowledge of Christ.
3Q Can evil spirits not be inside a Christian no matter what? I understand that you've mentioned how evil spirits could influence Christians even from far away places, but when they manifest and speak or act through oppressed Christians in a very obvious way (e.g. voice seeming to change, losing mind etc.), are they not inside their bodies in order to do that? Many times when oppressed Christians are delivered, they seem to "vomit" and then they got delivered, seem to be that the evil spirits have been cast out of their bodies so the result testify that they were indeed delivered afterward. Appreciate your comment.
When you hear a voice in a phone or radio or television, it does not mean that the speaker in the phone, radio or television. From my experiences in the Spiritual World, it is not possible for demon possession to take place in a genuinely born again Christian. And there are obsessions and oppressions that look like possession but they are not. The demons that are capable of bodily possession do not mess around with those with Jesus' light within them. Outside of these demons, there are very few demons capable of taking on higher level possession. Most of them prefer to exercise their pleasure at a distance. We need to understand why demons possess people. Their only reason is that they are spirits that are bounded to certain physical pleasures. Thus in trying to still experience these pleasures in their disembodied states, they link up with humans who have the same weakness in these pleasures. The higher demons who possess for the sake of sadism and pain are fewer and can only work on human subjects that are really, really weak and have lost most of their free will capacity and strength. The vomiting is just a reflex action of the body - similar to goose bumps - which can be caused by any number of things. We NEVER build our theology on empirical and sense knowledge; otherwise we will be like the early Christians who believe that the world was flat and that the sun goes round the earth, and other foolish things.
4Q If evil spirits are not inside a believer's body when he is obsessed or oppressed, does it mean that these evil spirits follow around these Christians all the time? If they are following them outside in order to oppress them and not in their bodies, won't they come into some kind of conflict with the guardian angels of these Christians who are also around these Christians all the time?
If by follow, you mean monitor, Yes. Spirits can monitor humans at a distance - similar as when a security personnel monitors individuals through video cameras. In the first place, if there are weaknesses of frequencies (which must take place first before oppression or obsession) already in place through inherited weaknesses or free- choice weaknesses, the guardian angels cannot do anything about it unless help is asked of them. What we allow through our free will (good or bad) is respected by the guardian angels. We need to choose to be free, to be free.
5Q When a person (non-Christian) is possessed by evil spirits, are these demons "living inside his spirit"? Can we also say that these evil spirits are also in his body because his spirit takes residence in his body?
To my knowledge, there are very few types of demons which can truly possess a person. Most of them would prefer to enjoy the pleasures of oppression and obsession at a distance. Demons (evil spirits) feel very restricted in a physical body and would only do so when they are assured that the physical body would give them a measure of freedom of expression through their dominance of the human.
6Q When a person is possessed or obsessed or oppressed before he receives Christ and thus the Holy Spirit, what happens at the moment of conversion? If he originally has demons inside him as an unbeliever, will those demons leave his spirit/body automatically the moment when he receives Christ and comes to salvation? Many Christians seem to have got delivered only later on but their born again experience before was genuine. Appreciate your comment.
For the majority, the demons leave even before the born-again experience (as the person is moving in the direction of being preached to and being converted), and the conversion just seals the frequency weaknesses that may have allowed the entrance of demons. So in a sense you can say that the whole process takes place automatically - although one needs to bear in mind that very few people are actually possessed. For those that are totally possessed, we see many of them being delivered publicly with demons cast out and then they accept Christ. When you say that you see Christians being delivered after they are born again, it is usually through the prominence of the wrong- theology group who advocate dramatic displays of stirring up manifestations and it looks like deliverance but it is nothing but emotional noise and smoke. Some people seem to be helped but most of them DO NOT remain free (they live in constant fear of being repossessed and need constant bouts of deliverance therapy to maintain their freedom). They are ONLY truly free when they gain knowledge of their authority in Christ.
Remember that if a person believes in the theology that some predestined to be saved and some lost, the devil will always use that theology to convince people that they are destined to be lost. If the theology says that some are destined to be healed and some are not, the devil will always use that to convince people that they are among the group not destined to be healed. If the theology says that Christians can be possessed, the devil will use that to keep Christians in fear of being possessed (which would actually just be mental and emotional obsession and oppression but they will feel it like a possession and become paralysed and ineffective in their lives) and even use the wrong belief to oppress them. In the Spiritual World, what we believe is very important and has its recompense effect on us.
7Q What are the signs that we can say that a Christian is "oppressed" or "obsessed" demonically? Many people tell from experiencing hearing voices, manifesting under the presence of God etc.
There are no standard signs. That is why we need the gift of discerning of spirits and the growth of discernment to see in the spiritual realm.
8Q Just to confirm, if I were to teach on demonology and makes the statement that "although the soul and body can be obsessed and oppressed by evil spirits, but they can never be INSIDE or LIVING WITHIN a believer's spirit, soul and body no matter what and under all circumstances," is this statement correct?
Yes, it is theologically sound and correct. It is also the only type of theology that will produce faith and total freedom for the believer. Have you noticed that when people start reading or being exposed to the wrong theology type of preaching, they immediately begin to sense demons and feel all kinds of oppression? They don't realise that it is the wrong theology itself that is opening them up to those oppression. It would be like making tools from radioactive materials and always wandering why there is such a prominence of cancers around those who use them. Worst, it leads many foolish ones to conclude that they succeeded in bringing 'invisible' cancers to the surface as they used their unique tools. Foolish ones. If they can only see that they themselves are causing it, diagnosing it and trying to treat it at the same time. You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free. If you believe correctly in the right Scriptural theology, you will be free.
