v 8 ¶ I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. V 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. I was raised just a farm boy in the Midwest and all I ever heard of was the Lord God and the Lord Jesus. They were set before me in the words of preachers and the like, but they were never set before me in my heart. AND I THOUGHT I WAS SAVED! Then coming up from within my being was a small fire that just knew that it knew that there was more. I swayed to a fro searching for what was always in me, a knowledge not just intellectual but a true experiential knowledge of our Lord and Master. While searching, He spoke to me and (forgive the paraphrase but) said ‘you can stop looking Now, I’ve been here all along.’ Opening my father’s bible, I read Psalm 16: and these two verses just set me free and on the path to experience my Lord not just know of Him |

Hey Thank you for the verse. Perfect timing. I am so comforted with knowing that the Lord is at my right hand. Sometimes I feel Him standing there, looking out across the horizon with me off and on during the day. I wonder what He is thinking. I wonder if I am thinking about things as He wants me to think. But, I know He is there. Experiencing Him.. Our King, so royal and true. Our Lord to which we offer our service. Our Master, our boss on the job (tasks of the Kingdom we are assigned) Our friend, for He shares with us His heart, His thoughts, His plans, ... I love to hear Him laugh. I don't like to feel Him cry. Do you know He paces Heaven sometimes? He is eager to come and bring us home. I praise the Lord for His "small fire that just knew that it knew that there was more" that compelled you to search.. Thank You Jesus for this man... Thank you Jesus for Your fires you light.. and Thank You dear Lord for the smoldering wick that you don't blow out. Shalom stacie |
