Dear Saints, A short while ago I received an email from a dear sister in Christ who is in need of prayer. Several weeks ago they did took a section of tissue from her breast to do a biospy and she has been having problems with that area filling up with fluid and then popping open. I am going to include her prayer request and ask that you would intercede on her behalf. Her name is Pam and we are praying that a miracle would be done on her behalf in Jesus' name. Thank you for standing with us. Here is her request: "I'd appreciate your prayers this week and next. I went to the dr. yesterday. She put a drain back in my breast because it kept filling up and popping. Anyway, while I was there, they gave me a list of diagnostic tests that they want to do - soon. It hit me that this thing is far from over. I've just wanted to grit my teeth and bulldoze through it to put it behind me as soon as possible. I realize now that it is going to be a while and I need to make peace with that. I need to make peace with all the time and expense that this is causing. I'm at the dr. once or twice a week lately! Next week it's going to be three times! I see the oncologist Tuesday. Pray that he doesn't want me to have radiation - the surgeon mentioned that yesterday as a possibility and I wasn't prepared for that thought. (That would be every DAY for several weeks) The first test they have me scheduled for is a colonoscopy - two weeks from today. The surgeon is going to do it herself instead of sending me to a gastro-doc. I guess that's okay. I'm not in the mood to add a new doctor to my expanding list! Pray the the test goes well, no complications, and they don't find anything of concern there or in any of the other places they suddenly want to look. By the way, I heard from Mom yesterday. Vaughn's tumor is not malignant, though they are going to have to do a bowel resection to remove it. He'll be in the hospital for a few days. Praise God. Please pray for peace and wisdom for me and for Ray. He says that I'm caught in the cancer system and he likes it less than I do. Thank you so much Joan for all your prayers. If you have any prayer chains in your network please put me on those too. I need as much prayer as possible. God bless you! Love you much, Pam |
