Hey, like, you know... what does this mean?

Ok... a little more specific?

Ok, in chapter four of Job, starting with verse 12, Eliphaz sees a spirit. What kind of spirit is this? God's or a bad one?

And, look at the verses in chapter five starting at 8.. this is covenant talk...

Now, my question in this area is... what is so offensive about these verses? Was Eliphaz mis-applying the verses? Sort of hitting them over the head with them? Hitting a man when was down? Was Eliphaz speaking a truth, but doing it in a self-righteous way?

I submit that the covenant statements are true, but.. used in a wrong way. Am I right?

What do you think.

See, for too long, I have thrown the baby out with the bath water.. and I have also found it hard to believe one (Eliphaz) to be speaking a truth when he got in so much trouble with the Lord later. Anyway..
what do you think?
