Good morning i would like to add to this week promise with this tidbit from history about why we give thanks to God on this speical day we call thanksgiving The p/c people would like for us to forget this part of our great history of how this great nation was bless of God in it's early growth. Read this and never let the others of this nation say that we was not founded on the princibles of God.amen In 1623, the notion of Thanksgiving was born as Gov. William Bradford declared: “Inasmuch as the great Father has given us this year an abundant harvest of Indian corn, wheat, peas, beans, squashes, and garden vegetables, and has made the forests to abound with game and the sea with fish and clams, and inasmuch as he has protected us from the ravages of the savages, has spared us from pestilence and disease, has granted us freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience.” This man of faith proclaimed that November 29, 1623 (their third year on the new continent) serve as a day for “render[ing] thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings.” The colonists had actually celebrated with a feast in 1621, as Indian chiefs Massassoit, Squanto and Samoset and many of their men joined with the Pilgrims for a three-day event. So as we ponder on the promise's of God this week think about the blessing that God rendered to our forefathers in orded to establish this nation on the knowladge of God. His promise to those have reached down throu the years to us who live in this day. So give thanks to The One that has made it all possible for us to worship and serve Him in a free country such as ours. amen. Folks stand up for the one who has made it all posible. The One who has created us and given us His promise that He will never leave nor forsake us . Lets us this week and every week give thanks unto our Father God who created all of the universe for our good pleasure. In all things give thanks unto God the FAther. amen Hallelujah Thank you Father God for your blessing. _________________ YBIC JOhn |
