Dear Siants,

Since this is the place that we are "to come together and share our joys, our frustrations, our hearts, our triumphs and failures in walking with the Lord" throught this would be the best place to post about what the Lord has been dealing with me since reading Cindy Jacobs word about New Orleans back in 1999. I have to tell you, that word sounded familiar to me as if I heard her the day the Lord gave it to her. After reading it yesterday it kept playing in my heart and my heart was broken. I realized that we as His people had an opportunity to change the course of what took place there and perhaps we did to some degree for as bad as it is it could have been worse. Yet I felt convicted, convicted of not putting the Lord first in everything, convicted of seeing sin in others lives and judging them rather than loving them as He does. I have to tell you, when I was talking to my friend who has family in New Orleans I told her how New Orleans is filled with the worship of false gods and saw this as God's judgment coming upon the land. Later, when I read Cindy Jacobs' words I realized that the church has not risen up as God would have her to do and my heart was broken.

Then this morning I went into the Elijah List to see the rest of Cindy's prophetic word and when I saw January 29, 1999 something stirred in me to check the set of tapes I purchased on the Prophetic Conference that was held years ago. Praise be to God, it turned out to be the same one. So I listened to the latter part of Dutch Sheets sharing on the 29th of January 1999 and further conviction came to me as tears of repentence flowed to the ground. Part of what Dutch Sheets shared was his own anger, his own frustration about then President Bill Clinton. One day the Lord spoke to Dutch and by the "tone" of His voice he knew he was in for correction. What the Lord told him was,"I could not judge him (Clinton) by a standard higher than I judge My own people."

Here we are so quick to judge others (I add myself to this) and so quickly forget how much mercy and grace we have been given through Christ Jesus. If God judged all men by what they deserve I don't think there would be many people walking the earth this day and if there would even be a earth to walk on! God's heart is that we would be like His Son Jesus Christ, willing to give as freely as He gave, willing to be obedient to the voice of the Father as Jesus showed us Himself to be, willing to give one's life for another that they might live and I, myself, have found myself falling so short of this.

God is raising up a mighty army - not a reserve unit that gets into the mix one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year, but an army that is on call 24-7. An army that is trained to follow the instructions of the Commander in Chief and is willing to go into battle at a moments notice giving their very lives if that is what is required. What I sensed in my spirit as I went before the Lord asking for His forgiveness is that it is a time of accountability and reliability. He is looking for those who are fully committed, those who are not influenced but march to the step of His Spirit. I sense a day of recogning is before us and theres not much time left to walk in His grace and His mercy before His hand of judgment comes upon the earth. I also believe He has given us a reprieve here in America. What happened with Katrina is just a spanking from our heavenly Father and not a heavy hand of judgment and it has been allowed in the hopes that we will turn back to Him and make Him first in our lives, much like with 9/ll. We missed it then even though, for a short time it looked like America was turning back. Just think about all the negative that has happened since then. Look at the laws that have been passed since we missed it then. God is giving us another chance to turn back to Him and I believe it we don't completely turn back to Him now we will have once more chance in America. If we fail then, it will be "three strikes you're out" and judgment will fall as it did with Israel when she turned her back on Him.

Oh, Lord, how I pray we will heed Your voice and do Your will this time, that we would be willing to forsake all for Your Name's sake. Father, please forgive us for all the lives that were lost, those who did not know You and were not given the Good News of Your Son Jesus Christ. Lord, have mercy on them, in Jesus' name I pray and have mercy on us who have the blood of these people on our hands. Jesus, wash us white as snow and help us to follow after You in Your name I pray. Amen.

Awake church of God in America and arise in the fullness that our heavenly Father has for us through Christ Jesus! It is time to slumber no more.

In Him,
Joan

There are some who have wained in their committment because they thuoght the Lord was slow in His ways. Their hearts are good, but their strength has given way to doubt. Shake off the doubt and refresh yourself in Him and know His calling you is near.

We have heard the call of 24/7... it is but a little to offer in respect to the eternity He has provided for us. Know the Father's heart is filled with a love so deep that words can not be expressed.

Know His heart.

Dear Stacie,

Ah, yes, I have drawn close to His heart and His love does sustain me. But we must not forget that Jesus gave us a call upon our lives and it is not enough just to be enveloped in His love. His Word tells us that faith without works is dead. His love with strengthen us to do the works we desire to do for His kingdom. Amen.
Yes, I felt convicted for not doing more than I know I am capable of doing. I did not feel condemned. Sometimes that conviction is harder to bear than the condemnation. I can remember the times my Mom would punish us for doing something wrong. If she ranted and yelled at us we felt we had been wronged and felt justified to feel angry towards her actions. It was when we did something wrong and all she would say would be something to the effect, "it really saddens me that you did not listen to me. I love you and want the best for you" that our wrong actions, disobedience or just plan not doing what was asked of us cut to the quick. When you disappoint someone who loves you so deeply and you love them back conviction takes place and you want to do better, ya know.

Love ya,
Joan

Amen Joan

This is such a tremendous opportunity for us to pour out the love of God upon these people. To 'show' them His love in tangible ways. Not just to these victims but those we see on a daily basis as well.

Every day we have opportunity to let His love flow through us. People need the Lord, we NEED to SEE Him. That means we MUST show them His life in ours. That means we must place our lives aside to aid one who is in need or hurting.

I can testify that we can speak all the right words and point in the right direction and even lead that way, but until we stop and pick up those who have fallen aside, or are forgotten and abandoned, rejected and even those whose donkey's have fallen into a ditch, without passing judgement upon them these people will not see the Lord and will fall deeper into dispair. I can say that because I am one who has been in one or most of these places of devestation and all it took to raise my faith was one word from one whom the Father sent to show His love for me. One person obedient to His call to love one another and build each other up to help each other and keep on helping as long as it takes.

I pray that as we press on that we remember to take concern for one another and help one another. To join together and provide for one another as He provides for us and that His love pours through us to those we meet.

Press on in Him!
Blessings
