We've all read and studied God's word {some of us many times over} and still we HOLD BACK! Our wives, prewives, and other women can talk openly about their Lord {remember he's our Lord also} but we only mention God and Jesus in family settings, church, or events like "Promise Keepers". We look to our pastors as speaking for us. Our roll models.

WAKE UP! Our enemy has done so serious damage to our standing within our own households and especially in the sight of God.

Maybe we need a very quick refresher course in God's word.

God has placed us as the head of our households. :way2go

We are our Lords' hands, feet, and mouths here on earth.

We stand up for God {obey Him} and he will stand up for us. :knight

We obey Him and we will be blessed. :banana

This forum is a start for those that want/need to take any stand {even if it's on your knees}.

Help, advice, shoulder to "cry on", whatever is needed/lacking or just to shout for JOY, we'll be here. :waiting

Man might be the head of the household, but woman is the heart of the home.

When you start thinking of women as "the weaker vessel," consider this: It took an archangel to tempt Eve, but it only took a woman to tempt Adam. Who does that make the weaker gender?

Why is it so important to men to think of themselves as superior to women? Wasn't Mary Magdalene the first person Jesus appeared to when he left the tomb? Wasn't it she who told the other disciples - all men - about that appearance, and wasn't it the disciples who wouldn't believe?

Jesus either had many women among his disciples or men actually did the meal preparation and the laundry - or do you think he didn't eat or wear clean clothes during his three year ministry?

It may come as a big shock to you, but women are more than cooks, laundresses, and maids. They are more than mere sex objects or brood mares. Women are people too!

Dear Guest

{When you start thinking of women as "the weaker vessel,"}

I don't think anything such thing.

Bill certainly did not say any such thing!

The LORD God Almighty said man needed a helpmate and He meant it so much He even created Eve!

Serious help indeed!

You know, you could show a little compassion for us helpless little fellows, you think. :-)

Poor old brother Bill pointed out, and rightly so, that woman usually have an open and loving and sharing relationship with Jesus.

He also pointed out that us guys usually hide our love for Jesus except in certain sheltered situations.

In other words, Bill was, correctly, calling his buddies, spiritual cowards.

And, he was calling woman spiritual warriors!

And, once again, He is correct.

Bill's exhortation to his fellow males to "take any stand, even if it's on your knees" is mighty good advice to us guys.

Especially the "on your knees" part!

As for God's commandments to the male side of the match....

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (Ephesians 5:25)

Of course this is also mighty good advice to us fellows!

We are a might bit show when it comes to females, don't you know!

I'll often ask myself.....

Would Jesus leave her home alone while I go out with my buddies?

Or, would Jesus stay at home while she goes shopping alone?

Or would Jesus sit in His easy chair while she does the laundry or the dishes or the vacuuming or.......?

Dear Guest, you see?

We guys are slow, slow, slow!

If I listen to God, I'll treat my sweetheart a little more like "The One who Loved her to The Uttermost and daily washes her feet"

I'll treat her a little more like her Jesus does!

And, if I listen to Bill, I'll get off this silly computer

And on to my knees

And lift my home and my wife up to the Heavens for His Blessings!

And share Jesus everywhere I go!

Love, Joe
Meet you on the boards.

Meet you in the air!

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10)

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10)

Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

"When I get on my high horse, I usually find Jesus rides off on his donkey."
