Why? Why is it important? What is so grand about it?

Do you think that He will begin by making a list of things you need to change before He becomes your friend? "First, go do this. Then, after that, there are several more things that you have messed up in your life that I can not do anything with until you get these things taken care of.. " No, this is not true.

The first thing He wants is you. He wants you to draw near. He promises that if you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you.

Man, am I glad that's not true, or none of us would have gotten in!!! Jesus merely asked if He could come in. He never said, "I can't come into THAT MESS!! ewwww, clean that house up inside you, first!!" LOL That would be a little hard, since Jesus is the SOAP! After Jesus moves in, then the change can begin, and the cleaning up takes over.

Jesus is the Soap?

hum... as in, "He cleans us from all sin." cool...

And, then when we begin to walk with Him, He can help us out of those things we got in over our heads with. And, He moves in supernatural ways to do it. That sure beats doing things in our own strength. :woopi
