One of the things I wanted to add to Fuchsia's story (Christian History Forum) was something she said on an interview I watched a few years ago.

The Lord had started moving in her ministry in another great way and the interviewer was asking her about it. She told the person about how when she was healed by the Lord, it was not too long after that healing that she was picked up on the circuit and given great notoriety. As she grew in influence, some of the leaders in the body of Christ approached her and gave her advice on how to share the Good News of Jesus. They advised her that she was focusing too much on herself and the healing, and not enough on Jesus and what He had done for everyone. In essence, they were telling her not to preach 'experience,' but to preach the Word only.

One preacher, Fuchsia said, went as far as to tell her that the people do not want to know about her, but they want only to know more about Jesus.

Fuchsia said that she heeded their advice for years. But, at a later time, the Lord spoke to her and asked her about it. Fuchsia returned to telling about her experiences. From there, many were blessed.

Our theology can led us to think that someone might ought to think and act in a certain way, but, as in the case above, it might not always be the way the Lord wants things to be done in that ministry. There are many cases in our christian history where we can see examples of man's opinions interfering with God's plans. I have even heard some exhortations say: "If God wants your opinion on how to led so and so's ministry, He'd ask you." Well, maybe that is true, or maybe it is just as mean spirited. It depends on the Lord and the people involved.

Nonetheless, we must consider these things.

Do we think it pleases the Lord to find fault in the ministries that have gone before us?
And, in some cases, do we think we could have done better?

I will continue to post these testimonies of our brothers and sisters in the Lord for our edification and encouragement as the Lord directs, and I pray these stories and the things we learn about their ministries bless us and show us things we might be missing in our own lives.

Discussing them in the forum is a wonderful blessing for us. I wonder what Moses and Aaron might have emailed each other. Or what kind of topics would Paul have posted? And what would the questions to Paul from the Roman Christians look like?

Our christian faith, it's history and it present existence is rich and full. There are thousands and thousands of things that we have access to through the internet that many before us have never had before.

Let us honor our Lord, honor Him in this place, in these forums, and in each other. Let us grow with one another.

And as Chip signs his emails,
I will sign this post:

I am your sister,
stace

Meet you on the boards.

Meet you in the air!

Love, Joe

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10)

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10)

Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

"When I get on my high horse, I usually find Jesus rides off on his donkey."
