My ministry call has really kicked in and I have a lot less time to post, but when I can I will. I'm saying this because if I don't reply back its probably because I'm busy regarding ministry. Although I probably will be able to reply back to this..if there are any replies etc. Ok enough of that and finally to the topic. If anyone reads my post, they will notice that every now and then under a different topic and perspective I discuss using the Name of Jesus and its because posting is different than conversation and it can be challenging to get points across. But not giving up here. ALL of us in Christ have been given His Name and have the authority of the Name. 1. You don't need an anointing -- if He dwells in you, you already have it. 2. You don't need a special leading or rhema to use the Name. 3. You don't need to be a mature Christian or someone in ministry. 4. You don't need to be in perfect obedience -- Yes we have to live for the Lord to the highest extent..of course!! Let me repeat this: If you are living right and you stumble...is the Name taken away from you? No...you may not have the confidence, but you still have the Name. See the point? Live right...YES. 5. You don't even need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit -- not referring the the baptism of salvation here. See being baptized in the Holy Spirit gives one a much greater level of ability to use the authority they already have as a Christian. See that? The authority is already there, its the greater ability that is given. ok some won't agree with those five points and I will tell you now that you will never find a scripture in the New testament that proves those statements different. Now you may have heard someone say something otherwise, but it won't match up with the Word. Did you know you can pray the Name of Jesus over yourself? Every think of that? Why not, right. But I'll direct this to praying for others. See the Name of Jesus has the concentrated authority of His finished work. This Name has been given to you. How has it been given to you or how to I grasp this? Watch below: I'll use my wife for an example. Before she was married her name was Aneta..... ....... After she married me her name became Aneta...... ....... My last name. She could write a check out with my last name attached to it. I remember that after we were married she had to cash a check under her maiden name and she actually still could, all she needed was to prove that to them and they said...yup that is your name and she was all set. But the point is my name given to her names allowed her full use. Did you know after I gave her my name that if she never changed anything and kept her maiden name only that she wouldn't have got anywhere. See it was given to her, but she had to recognize that in order for it to work. Now her name is Aneta ...... Jesus. Did you see that? Her name has His Name attatched to hers. We are named after Him. Robert ....... Jesus. Stacie ....... Jesus. Joan ....... Jesus. Caroline ....... Jesus. Joe...... Jesus. Kay....... Jesus. That Name has been given to you. So, you've been given the Name. You have the authority that is in His Name. His completed finished work dwells in His Name. Think about Jesus' whole earth career, right up to when He ressurrected and now seated as victorious at the right hand. That's whose Name is attatched to you. Faith in the Name? The Name has been given to you, so do you need faith in something that has been given to you? Yes you do need faith in the Name. You need faith in the Name, just like you need faith that you have eternal life. Both have been given to you after you accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Faith in eternal life seems a lot easier eh. Its because when we were born again we never were taught we were given the Name. Also, the preaching of eternal life is what brings many to accept Jesus as lord and Savior, so you can see the automatic bonding of faith there -- that's totally understanding. Once you have faith in the Name the exact way, then you are in the position you ought to be in. Do what the Word of Faith people do...keep reading, absorbing , and meditating on scripture regarding the Name and this will raise you. Praying and getting results in the Name and how to? Let me give you an example of a prayer that had results from long distance. I don't like sharing a lot, but as Joan mentioned, which is correct, that testimony can be effective. When I use the term "I" obvoiously its Jesus working through me. "I" can't do a thing without Him. I wanted to state this, so I don't have to keep interrupting my flow in the remainder of this post. I'll use a long distance testimony. There was a lady that was going to die and someone told me this and I prayed for her and she recovered in less than 24 hours. What I did was this: I prayed in the Name of Jesus for that to leave her and be restored back to normal. What is different about what I just said? Actually nothing unusual sounding. But this was what was stirring in my Spirit: I have been given His Name and when I pray in His Name, I am taking His place. I am in His stead. The Words I speak, He carries forth and manifest them. Its Jesus flowing through me right to the seen. Faith in His Name, allows Him to flow through my vessel and manifest His Spirit upon and on this person from a distance. When I allowed Him to flow through me in this way, He was actually there in Spirit touching her. Whether its long distance or up close laying hands on someone, He needs us as vessels to work through and do the work he would do if He was still walking this earth. See, he is at the right hand and gives us this resposibilty and He is with us in Spirit. His presence is everywhere and whithin us, however the manifestation of His Spirit, power, and presence flows through His sons and daughters. That shows a bit of light on all the nonsense debates and fruitless topics we have eh. Now in laying on of hands, you can transfer the anointing as well, but personally I still always use the Name. If some do recover without using the Name, I just consider it the transfer of Him, but I always intentially use the Name. Watch this now, just to move this up another level -- actually I thought the post was done, but watch. Without using His Name...do you have authority?? yes you do.... Greater is He that's in you than he thats in the World. You are seated in heavenly places together with Him. The Holy Spirit dwells in your body AT ALL TIMES -- nothing to do with feelings either. You have ENORMOUS authority. Then why have you been given the Name? Read above and this is one of the reasons why. I always love the analogy that the Name to us is like the staff was in Moses hand. Break those five things early in this post and let Him flow through you. Blessings. |

Robert, You know I really liked this. Great way of looking at the authority that is so gracoiusly given to us. Thank you Lord. Your post brought to mind something that I was given about about 3 years ago and it really fits here and may give someone an even more greater realization of the authority that is given to us by His name! An Encounter with John Chapter 17 He stands at the front, stout, and strong, waiting for her to come through the door. He has waited for this moment for a long time. He has planned and made sure everything was ready. They both have thoughts racing through their minds of the future that is ahead of them. The music begins ... The voices rise ... a chorus that reaches to the heavens. All else is silent. Her dress trails softly behind her as she makes her way to the front. She too has longed for this day. She knows that this day will change the outcome of her whole life. She is oblivious to the others watching her. Her eyes are fixed on her beloved Finally they gather hands and turn toward the One that stands in front of them. She glances at her beloved who smiles at her and turns to look at Him. In a tone strong and clear he begins to speak. "Father the time has come. Glorify you Son, that you Son may glorify You. You have given Me authority over all the earth so that I may give her eternal life, so that she may know You Father, and Me whom you have given to her. I have brought you glory here Father by completing all that you have asked Me to do, and now Father, glorify Me with the Glory that I had before the world began." He turns once again to face her but still continues speaking to His Father. "I have revealed You to her, who you chose out of the world. She was Yours and you gave her to Me and she has obeyed Your word. She knows that everything that you have given Me comes from You. I gave her the words You gave Me and she accepted them. She knows certainly that I came from You and believed that you sent Me to her. I pray for her. Not for those outside but her that You have given Me for she is Yours. All I have is Yours and all that is Yours is Mine, and glory has come to Me through her." "I will remain in the world no longer but she must stay here in this world and I am coming to You Holy Father. Protect her by the Power of Your Name - the Name You have given Me - so that she may be one as We are one. While I was with her I protected her and kept her safe by that Name you gave Me. None of the others were lost except one only so that you Word may come true.<br> I am coming to You and say these things while I am here so that she may have the full measure of My joy within her, for she is not of this world. I have given her Your Word and the world has hated her, for she is not of this world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take her out of the world but that you protect her from the evil one. She is not of the world even as I am not of it. Sanctify her by the truth. You Word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent her into the world. For her, I sanctify myself that she too may truly sanctified." He stops, and everything remains silent. The Father gently smiles and looks her way. She takes a small breath and too begins to speak to the Father. "His prayer is not for me alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Him through my message that they may be one Father, just as You are in me and I am in you. May they also be in You so that the world may believe that you have sent Him. I will give them the glory that you have given me, that they may be one as we are one; Him in them and You in Him. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Him and You have loved them even as you have loved us. Father, I want those You have given to Him to be with You where I am and to see Your glory. The glory You have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. Righteous Father, though the world does not know You, I know You and they know that You have sent Him. I have made Him known to them and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for us may be in them and that He may be in them." Once again they turn to each other. The words that he speaks next she knows will be the truth that will she will hang onto while they are separated for a season. But this does not burden her. She knows that He is never but a prayer away. She will continue on her mission preparing for His return. There is much to be done. He looks at her, in a way that she had never seen before and one that she will never forget. Just as she was honored to stand next to Him, for the first time she is realizing that He is just as honored to be standing next to her. The words echo loudly in her ears "I am giving Myself to you. That includes everything I have and everything I ever will have. Everything that is Mine is yours. You have My Name, My Word, and My nature. Anyone who comes against you comes against Me. Anybody that curses you curses Me, any enemy of your is My enemy as well. When you are assailed, just call upon Me and I will do whatever I must to guard, protect and rescue you." As she continues to prepare for His return, she longs to see Him again, but always knows that He has her heart, that she has His and that He hears every whisper of His Name ... Jesus. Thanks for sharing! Blessings, Kay |

Wow! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! |

Meet you on the boards. Meet you in the air! Love, Joe Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10) Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10) Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17) "When I get on my high horse, I usually find Jesus rides off on his donkey." | |
