NIV Bible 25 "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." In verse 25: It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. This is happening right now in Jerusalem, with the wall around the city being built. This wall has a trench beside it to prevent invaders from getting past. The city will be destroyed as it says in verse 26, they can now enter as the wall is not completed, and it has to go before a committee, as the Palestinians are saying it is illegal to build. They say it prevents the Islam people from getting to the mosques to pray. Prophecy about this has been spoken in 2004; the prophecy claims the people from Iran, Syria will destroy the wall, and Jerusalem. But Daniel had tried to prevent it before his vision. Daniel 9 3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. 4 I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands, 5 we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. 6 We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. 7 "Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame--the men of Judah and people of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you. Can we confess the sins of our nations against God? According to Daniel we can, we can fast and pray, we can ask for forgiveness for our nations. So I call everyone to pray and plead for our nations.
