PENTECOST, GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER AND 40 DAYS FOR 40 YEARS May 28, 2007 Sunday Precious Saints, Today is Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit came down upon the followers of Christ who had gathered together in one accord. This accord 50 days after our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Hallelujah! It is a day to rejoice and to ask the Holy Spirit to fill us again to overflowing that the world might be amazed at the awesomeness of our God. Praise be to God! Our God is not an idol made with hands. He is a living, all knowing, all powerful Creator that seeks to fellowship with His children. It cost Him dearly to have us restored back to Him. Jesus carried the sins of the world upon Himself so that He could be the Living Sacrifice, once and for all time, to cleanse us and bring us back to right standing with His Father. May we never forget the cost He paid and may we always be grateful to Him and our heavenly Father for what we do have and for what awaits us in eternity. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God Who is worthy of our praises and thanks! Not only is today Pentecost, it is also the Global Day of Prayer, where people are gathering all over the world, praising and setting forth hearts of gratitude to our awesome God and our Lord Christ Jesus. I believe God has been waiting from on high for His people to come back to Him in America with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, loving Him above all else. For 40 years a wave of rebellion has touched our land and this once great nation is sitting in the pit of despair caused by her turning away from the One True God. But once again hungry hearts and eager souls are looking to Him from a place of love and appreciation, recognizing that without Him we are nothing. A land that was founded on Biblical principles is found lacking a Biblical walk. We need our Lord Christ Jesus to rise up in us and for our will to decrease and His will, in unity with our heavenly Father, to increase in our beings so that we might be found pleasing to our God. With that said, tomorrow we will be embarking on a history making, world changing event as this nation comes together to begin a time of repentance and fasting, 40 Days for 40 Years, which will conclude on 7-07-07. I believe what will see happen on July 7, if we are faithful, will far surpass Pentecost that took place over two thousand years. I will post a little more about this later for those who have not heard about this event, entitled The Call, Nashville. Please, we are living in a time that can be world changing. God is calling us to seek Him with all our might, to look to Christ not only as our Savior but as our Lord, King and Bridegroom. There is a move from heaven, revealing God’s love for us in an unprecedented way. Our Father is seeking a Bride who is without spot nor blemish, a Bride who will be faithful to His Son and who is willing to bring forth many spiritual children to the glory of our heavenly Father. If you are feeling a restlessness in yourself that is because we are mindful that something is lacking in our lives, that we are longing for something we do not have fully and that is our Lord, Jesus Christ. What many are trying to fill with things and activities can only be filled by Him, for He is our all in all. Dear Ones, reach out to Him and see your life changed in incredible ways. Fast, pray, seek Him until He is found. He’s waiting and the world needs Him, amen? AMEN!!! Seeking Him, Joan |
