This is a praise and a lesson all in one. Last week there was a tornado south of us and when the storm got to our place, all we got was strong winds and rain. We have our corn planted across our field and it was all laid down by the wind. Even one of the trees by the garden was broken off. My husband and I walked over and surveyed the damage and decided there was just too much corn to try and "prop" back up and hopefully all the ears of corn would still ripen. The next day when Dennis came in from work at 4, he said that the corn was standing up. I told him there was no way because I was over there at noon and it was laying down. So off we went to check the corn and sure enough, it was standing up straight. Dennis said it followed the sun. We thanked the Lord for such a miracle and that our corn crop was saved. Now since that time, we've heard that corn will sometimes do that. Well, praise God, I still think it's a miracle. Now for the lesson: that corn had been on my mind and the Lord showed me this: The corn was straightened because it followed the sun. The sun strengthened the corn, made it's roots tighten in the soil as the soil dried. When the winds of life blow us down, we sometimes lay there helpless until we come to the Lord. We have to follow the Son. As He shines in us, our faith is tightened and strengthened and until we are once again on our feet thru His strength. Now we just need to learn to follow the Son all the time and the winds that blow won't weaken our faith. I never thought a corn patch would be a lesson in living for Christ, but it is. God bless, Chris |

Thanks for sharing this with us.... That is sooo cool! It is stated that the creation tells of all the attributes of God.... this just proves it! May we continuously keep our eyes open to the things God is doing in our lives! Blessings, Kay |

Just wanted to add this: Our corn harvest is done and we got 11 bushels out of it, gave away 4 bushels to needy neighbors and family. Our potato harvest was amazing this year too! Our usual little tennis ball sized potatoes were mostly the size of baking potatoes. Now as for the tomatoes, we are going on our 4th bushel of harvest. We have given away about two bushels of that, eating and freezing the rest. That's not counting the squash, eggplant, and cucumbers we've picked. We gave away bushels to people at church and to the local senior citizens meals program. In a year of overly abundant rain which has ruined a lot of our neighbors' gardens, the Lord has really blessed us! I thank the Lord for such bounty and blessings! I am reminded of Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Hi, I don't know what's next! But I know the Lord gives great "surprises!" I know I testify a lot about nature but here in the booniesof the Ozarks, I am surrounded by it. I hope it doesn't bore anyone! So here goes again: Another testimony! (I email a friend who says I need to write a book about all this, Haha.) Saturday, my husband and I were hard at work, mowing the yard and then he took the tractor and was brush-hogging the field and around the pond near our house. After six hours of work, we had gotten everything done. Sunday morning, we were searching for our peahen and her 3 babies before church. We looked around the house where she usually hangs out and no peacock babies. So Dennis went down into the woods and then decided to search around the pond. When he was walking around the pond, he stepped on something. Looking down he realized he had just stepped on a big copperhead snake. He jumped back and stood there staring at the snake and thanking God that he didn't get bit. That's when he noticed that the snake wasn't moving. Upon further investigation, he saw that the snake didn't have a head. Dennis had killed the snake the day before when he was brushhogging. Now, the world would say that that was just a coincidence but I know the prayers we pray for protection everyday whether on the highway or just hanging out around the house. God sees past, present and future and knew exactly when Dennis would place his foot in that spot. One of Dennis's favorite Psalms is 91. And this passage of it fits to a tee: 11. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Thank you, Lord, for Your divine protection! You know where each footstep will take us and you prepare the way before us! I give You all the praise and glory for keeping us safe! Amen God bless, Chris PS. Now one of these days, I'll testify about our BEAR incident that happened 2 weeks ago!!!!!!! ![]() PSS. The peacock hen and babies showed up right after Dennis told me about the snake. |

Hi Chris, What you have been sharing is anything but boring. It is a witness of His goodness and very presence in our midst, watching over us, protecting us and providing for His children. How could we get bored with that. Please do share about the bear so we can praise Him some more for His faithfulness. Hallelujah! Love your sister in Christ, Joan |
