The background on this isn't mine. But, the three planets which are my very first, are. I just bought Paint Shop Pro 11 and have discovered the selection tool! I had not known how to use that in PSP 7, only the wand and then under selection hit invert. I have found a whole new world to explore with the selection tool and effects! LOL I'm in graphics heaven.

This one is all mine. What is it, you ask? Ummmm...... That's a very good question!

Hey!
Great to see you posting..... These are great for your first run... Congrats on getting Psp 11...the psp that I have is 9 and I am so used to it I probably won't go any more LOL....
You are just now starting the long journey of graphics LOL... it is definantly a ever increasing learning venture! Just when you think you have one thing tackled you will run across another thing and think OHHHH I just have to learn to do that... It is fun to learn though...Once you get alot of the basics down and learn the interface you can actually get quite alot accomplished and there are graphic groups all over the web to join and learn to make tags and such and glittery letters... never got into alot of it and there are things I still haven't learned and not sure if I will ever use them, for example masking... never grasps that concept.
I hope you continue to enjoy and may the Lord continue to grace you will the ability learn ( and retain) alllll that information LOL... Keep sharing with us your progress... You are starting out great Keep it Up!
Blessings,
Kay

Oh and as far as the second image... just come across like you know exactly what it is... It is abstract art LOL (just kidn)

I especially like the gold words.. keep working it. I hope you consider it fun and not a chore. I really enjoy this kind of thing, although, most of my work has been html. But, that is about to change.

I've had psp 7 for years, and knew already a lot about graphics, just not about the selection tool. I only knew about the magic wand. I would hit selection and then invert, and that was all I knew to do, but it let me put shadows on things, and I could use the effects for my text, which I really loved to do, but I was limited because I only had 7. I also have photo shop 6, and it's better for making text, but now with psp 11 I can do more. I never made globes before, or planets until I got psp 11, and that's what I was messing with. The magnifying glass is way cool.

I don't know how to do masks either. I once was on a Christian psp group, but they had a lot of email! Like 300 a week! I only lasted a month and then had to leave. I couldn't keep up.

I have to go back and learn how to do layers. I forgot how, but they have good help files.

I knew you would like the gold. *grins* That's why I picked that color. I couldn't do that in psp7. It's a lot harder to do stuff in. I still think that graphic for Healing School is the best text I've ever seen. I don't know if I could do one that well.

The Healing School image was created in Xara, (I think that is the name, I don't have in on my lap top here) and then imported into paintshoppro... then, it became a layer.

Not hard once you get it..
but, that is the key... getting it. I am going to conquer photoshop.. yay..

I have just mastered the first steps.. I can open it.. and close it. Amazing huh?
