1) What kind of changes may I see with praying in tongues 1hr/day and fasting evenings Answer: I believe you will develop a greater awareness of the presence of God in the times when you are doing other things outside of your prayer time. Also more 'coincidences' (not really coincidences as angels are involved) happen because of your regularity of prayer giving them permission to intervene in your affairs. 2) How can I become more accurate at hearing the Lord's voice and prophesying? Answer: It starts off with having the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ within us helps us to discern the affections and thoughts which are in line with God and His Word. This provides the background to all hearing and prophesying. 3) I have a friend whom she says that I am really helping her to grow, I see God to accelerating her and I am glad and thankful for that. At the same time, I do not want to fall behind... Answer: As long as you keep your spiritual life up on a daily basis, that will never happen. Also the more you give, the more you will also receive. 4) I know I have friends that care for me,... but I feel insecure that something will happen to jeopardize the friendships. something is wrong with me...? Answer: Not all friendships can be the same level. The level is limited by each person's spiritual relationship with the Lord. You insecurity is a part of your growing in faith and trust. Vulnerability always exist when one opens to another person in friendship. 5) The mind of Christ, how does one best achieve this in practice while praying and spending time alone with God? Spending time alone with God I know is given, but what practically in spending time alone with God may I do? Answer: There is no single method that works for everyone as everyone is makeup differently. Generally, meditation (both verbal confession of Scriptures and silent contemplation) are important keys to growth. The other part is normal prayer, worship, praise, etc. These can also be mixed with the reading and study of the Scriptures as God speaks. 6) As I am working and am self sufficient, after divorce, my savings are becoming less... which is fine. i occasionally (or probably more than frequently) am plagued with the fear that something will happen to my job and I will be jobless and incomeless... change. A constant fight. Any words of wisdom here would relieve me. Answer: There is no replacement for complete trust in God to supply all our needs. This is an important lesson for everyone on earth to learn through their circumstances. |
