The Student Asked: The scientists believe some sort of meteor hit the earth and destroyed the dinosaurs millions of years ago, is this theory true of the extinction of dinosaurs? Pastor Tan Ans: This is a possibility as there was a whole civilization that existed before Adam - call the pre-Adamic civilization. Student asked: Were most dinosaurs made in the time when Adam was made, or were they mostly pre-admic since scientists say the fossils were millions of years old, which would be much longer than Adam probably. Pastor Tan Ans: The only dinosaurs which were in our Adamic civilization are Behemoth (land dinosaurs) and Leviathan (sea dinosaurs). It is highly possible that the pre-Adamic civilization was filled with different animals from that which we know in our Adamic era - all the giant animals and dinosaurs. Fossils of giant insects (2 metre long centipedes, metre long dragon flies, etc) have been found which could belong to the pre- Adamic civilization. Scriptural basis for pre-Adamic civilization is found in the study of the Hebrew words 'void' (Genesis 1:1-2) where other Scriptures say that God did not made things 'void'. Also the Eden of the time of Lucifer was a different Eden from Adam's in Genesis. There is just sufficient Scriptures to point to it without giving us much details. Why isn't there as many pre-Adamic human fossils like the dinosaur fossils? I know there seems to be a few giant human-like fossils found here and there, but there are very few. Thus, were most of the pre- Adamic human fossils decayed completely while the dinosaurs' fossils remained? Or are there other theories? Ans: There are more of them to be found; new complete fossils are still being discovered to this day. The comment from allaboutcreation.org is as follows: Dinosaur Fossils: Sedimentary Rock Dinosaur fossils, as with other fossils, are found throughout earth's sedimentary layers. To date, approximately 95.0% of all earth's fossil remains are marine invertebrates, 4.74% are plants, 0.25% are land invertebrates (including insects), and 0.0125% are vertebrates. Of the vertebrates, the majority are fish. Moreover, 95% of all land vertebrates found consist of less than one bone. However, billions of fossils have been found. Up to as many as 1,200 dinosaur skeletons have been discovered thus far. Sedimentary rock (sandstone, siltstone, shale, limestone, etc) is primarily laid down by moving water, layer upon layer, in a process known as hydrologic sorting. Animals whose fossil remains are found must have been caught in this running water to have been buried and preserved. The remains would be sorted by density just as the rocks were. If not buried, the carcass would rot or be scavenged. Fossil remains of clams (found in the closed position, indicating they were buried alive) have been found atop Mt. Everest. Sedimentary layers and fossil remains seem to be a testimony to a past marine cataclysm. There are nearly 300 surviving Flood Legends passed down by ancient civilizations. Some suggest Noah's Flood. The number of fossils found is in their billions although complete specimens are fewer. www.eaglevision.com.my |
