Student Asked:

What will happen to the planet earth after the Millennium? Will the
earth be part of the heavenly spheres again so that its inhabitants
will once again see and interact with both the physical and spiritual
dimensions like Adam and Eve before the Fall? Is this the New Heaven
and Earth?

Pastor Tan Ans:
The earth will continue in its glorified state as one of the completed
and finished work of God. It will definitely be part of the heavenly
spheres again (Revelations 21:1). It is the new heaven and the new
earth.

2Q
God promised David a perpetual line, kingdom, throne. This was
fulfilled in Christ in the spiritual sense. Are the promises of the
Davidic Covenant also going to be fulfilled literally on the earth so
that the nation of Israel will rule and reign as the prime kingdom in
the Millennium and New Heaven and Earth? Is Jerusalem going to be the
"capital city" of earth during the Millennium.

Ans:
The promises to Abraham and David are figuratively fulfilled in
Christ. God has always intended for all the earth and every nation,
tribe and tongue to be blessed equally. There are still some seven
years of Daniel's prophecy to be fulfilled in the Jewish nation. The
Gentiles and the Israelite nation are all part of the same tree
(Romans 11:11-36). The gospel has been preached to the Jew first and
then to the Gentiles (Romans 1:16) but now it is no longer restricted
to genetics nor place nor time nor form in the worship of God (John
4:23-24). The true Jew is now those who worship the living God and not
one outwardly (Romans 2:28-29: For he is NOT a Jew who is one
outwardly, nor is that circumcision which is one outwardly in the
flesh but he IS a Jew who is one inwardly and circumcision is that of
the heart, in the Spirit and not in letter, whose praise is not from
men but from God). Everyone who is born again have been circumcised in
the heart (2 Corinthians 5:17 old things have passed away and all
things are become new). Everything that was involved in Israel and the
Jews were symbolic covenants that were extended to the whole earth and
all the nations of the earth in Christ. This is the complete and
perfect understanding of the Pauline revelation of the greatness of
the blessings that we have now in Christ. Jerusalem symbolically
mentioned in the New Testament is the NEW Jerusalem (not the old
earthly city) which was shadow typed by the old Jerusalem city. We all
also will speak in heavenly languages and the English language names
will no longer be used. Everything in the Bible is given in shadows
and types of the things in the Spiritual World. No language or city or
tribe can fully expressed ALL the greatness of the blessings that
Christ has in store for us.
