1Q It seems the devil and his cohorts could influence animals to certain extent, as he did with the serpent in the Garden of Eden. My question is how often and to what degree do these evil spirits influence and use animals today for their evil purposes? For e.g., maybe they might want to influence some ferocious animals to attack humans?
Answer: It depends on the evil or goodness of the owner of such animals. As to wild animals, there is (like to all humans) a general protection that God places over all His creation from interference by the devil and evil spirits (Angels over the animal kingdom protect the animals). Not all animal attacks are demonic, most of them are distress and psychological damaged caused to the animals by men.
2Q Is it true that some animals are more prone to be influenced by the devil? For e.g., black cats seem to be more associated with witchcraft, and snakes to evil people, is it because these animals' fallen nature are more inclined to be used for evil purposes? Most dogs seem to be more loyal and of a better nature.
Answer: Absolutely not. All animals are created for their own special and respective purposes and manifestation; and the angels over the various animal species watch over them.
3Q When animals die on earth and their souls go to Heaven, does God give them new spiritual bodies since their earthly bodies are rotten on earth? Or do they just have souls in Heaven?
Answer: They do have their ‘spiritual substance bodies’ for their souls to function through. These spiritual substance bodies are different at different levels of paradise. The animals in the higher and more glorious paradises are also more glorious although they retain their special animal forms and nature.
4Q Are there more Scriptures showing that originally animals could talk and communicate with humans other than the serpent talking with Eve in the Garden of Eden?
Answer: There is the one between Balaam and the donkey in Numbers 22. The crows did not talk to Elijah but fed him for a long period of time (1 Kings 17:6). The wild beasts in the wilderness are either a symbolic of the evil temptations by evil spirits (if interpreted allegorically) or if interpreted literally, could be wild animals keeping Jesus company. The lions in Daniel’s time kept him company. St Francis was known to preach to animals and Sundar Singh was once seen with a lion or wild animal keeping him company by sitting next to him.
