4Q You mentioned that in 2 Cor 12:9-10, the use of the word "infirmities" indicated that Paul indeed suffered some kind of physical weaknesses though unspecified, from his serious persecutions. My question is, even after persecutions resulting various physical weaknesses, couldn't God have still heal him and remove the physical pain afterward? In other words, didn't the atonement indeed cover all sicknesses and diseases (Matt 8:17)? If Paul had broken bones not set right, couldn't he believe God for that healing later on?
Healing and creative miracles are different category. Since it is very clear from Paul's writings in Galatians (Galatians 4:13; 6:17) that his infirmities were in his physical body, we can only establish the fact that he had received healing and still suffer from the scars left over (much as we like to make him a super man and see him have a super body that has no scar). I believe that it is possible to walk like Enoch and be translated. We all should look to the full atonement and believe God for creative miracles, whether we receive the full manifestation or not is another story. Yes, the atonement covers healing but not everyone lives to fulfil John 14:12. Whether Paul or anyone has reach the fullness does not affect or change the truth. It is still the ultimate and final fullness of promise to all who believe.
5Q How long did those physical infirmities in 2 Cor 12:9-10 last in Paul's body? Were they permanent or only for the time when Paul was writing the 2 Corinthians Epistle?
From Scriptures, it seems that the grace God imparts was a daily grace which enable Paul to overcome it each day - since his discovery of the indwelling power of grace.
6Q If those physical infirmities lasted all his life afterward or that they were not healed by believing in the healing Word of God provided through the atonement, wouldn't the devil come and use this argument and so we may not be sure whether our sicknesses and diseases are of this 2 Cor 12:9-10 type, so God may choose to not heal us? Then how can we believe in unwavering faith to receive our healing of physical infirmities? I know this is one common passage cited by many against that it's God's will to heal all.
I believe that having received the indwelling grace, it no longer affected Paul. Since it is not a sickness or disease, it shows the daily ability of grace and strength that enables Paul. I don't think anyone can try to misquote this verse for themselves (against healing) because there are not many people we know who have been stoned to death and resurrected, beaten with rods five times 39 times, whipped and bashed. It remains as a testament of God's grace that enables a human body to keep functioning despite the abuse and destruction thrown upon it. I believe that after Paul's revelation of grace , he no longer feels the pain or the discomfort because of the empowering substance of strength that he receives each day. It is as good as gone, although Paul did not receive a new translated body like Enoch.
7Q Is it God's will to heal all (if they choose to come to Him and believe with faith in perseverance)? I know we're not supposed to run around looking for every sick person and heal them, but if someone comes to God sincerely, repents of all his sins, and believe in His healing promises the right way and heart, will God ever say "no" that it's not His will to heal that person such as He told Paul that He's not going to remove the physical infirmities? How does this come in line with Isa 53:4-5, Matt 8:17, 1 Pet 2:24, and Mark 11:22-24 then? If it's God's will to heal all as provided in the atonement, how come He didn't heal Paul but instead gave grace to endure through the infirmities?
Yes, it is always God's Will to heal all. He did heal Paul, He just did not give him a new body.
