2.      Coming from a Baptist background (in my younger days), I
understand that doctrinal beliefs are of utmost importance to
believers. However, I cannot reconcile the fact that why is it God can
still move among people who hold erroneous doctrines. For e.g.
churches who subscribe to extreme grace teachings do experience
manifestation of His Presence and Glory. Does this mean that from
God's viewpoint, it's the heart that matters rather than doctrinal
beliefs? Once I read about Bill Johnson who likes to invite preachers
of varying doctrinal beliefs to his congregation so that his
congregation will always not be in a state of ease/complacency/
deadness but always remain open towards things of God. What's your
comment on this?

In the end, doctrinal beliefs determine the 'lasting effect' of a true
move of God. Note that many moves have come and gone but only those
solidly built upon the word remain as disciples and followers of
Christ. God does indeed look at the heart than at perfection of
doctrines but for the building up of the local body, doctrinal
accuracy is important as far as the local pastor is able to achieve.
The writings of the apostle Paul show that doctrinal matters are very
important to him, especially in the local church.
