A Time To Lie Down
(28 July 2007)

Psalm 23:1, 2(A) ~~ {1} The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. {2,A} He
maketh me to lie down in green pastures….

Ezekiel 34:14-15 ~~ {14} I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the
high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a
good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of
Israel. {15} I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith
the Lord God.

In a series of visions, the Lord showed me sheep in a pasture. The pasture
seemed to contain both good and not so good grazing areas for the sheep. I
saw streams of water, also, in the pasture. Some of the streams appeared to
have clean water. Other streams appeared to have muddy, foul water.

In the midst of the sheep were numerous shepherds. Some of the shepherds
appeared to be quite attentive towards the sheep around them. Other
shepherds appeared to be neglectful and indifferent towards the sheep around
them.

The sheep ranged in their appearance from being well fed and well cared for,
to being malnourished and unhealthy.

I also noticed that some of the sheep were pushing and thrusting at other
sheep. None of the sheep were lying down. Most of the sheep appeared
restless and nervous.

I then sensed the presence of the Lord coming into this pasture, and into
the midst of the sheep. He seemed grieved.

I saw as the Lord drew the shepherds around Him and began to speak to them.
Those who heard His voice and listened to His words, fell to their knees and
began to weep and to pray. The shepherds who remained standing, were driven
from the pasture.

The Lord remained with the shepherds who were praying, and continued to
speak His words to them. After a season of prayer, the Lord touched each of
the shepherds and drew them to their feet.

"Feed My sheep!" He commanded them.

I then saw as the Lord and the shepherds went through the midst of the sheep
and began to touch and minister unto each sheep. Under the careful, gentle
hands of the shepherds, the agitated sheep began to quiet down and to be at
rest.

However, there still remained some sheep who continued to try and thrust and
push at other sheep. I became aware of how greatly this displeased the Lord
when He separated those sheep from the flock. When these sheep were
separated from the rest of the flock, the shepherds continued ministering to
the sheep.

I watched as the shepherds also began to tend to the neglected areas of the
pasture. The areas that had been trampled began to flourish. The shepherds
were also removing the filth and debris from the befouled streams of water.

A gentle rain began to fall upon the pasture and it began to turn lush and
green. With the sound of a small, peaceful, sigh, I watched as the sheep
slowly began to lower themselves to the ground. They appeared contented and
at rest, free from hunger and fear.

The Lord seemed delighted and satisfied with the condition of His flock Once
again, He admonished the shepherds, "Feed My sheep!"

Then the series of visions ended.

Over the following months, as I meditated and prayed over these series of
visions, the Lord impressed several things on my heart.

Within God's people, there has been much unrest. There have been shepherds
who have cared little for their congregations.

There have been sheep that have injured and wounded other sheep through
jealousy and envy. They have struggled for positions of leadership in
ministerial roles, and sought to push others from those roles. Many of the
sheep were pushed right out of their congregations, and many of them were
scattered and became wanderers in search of a pasture in which to feed and
rest in. Many of them also became prey for the enemy.

These things have greatly grieved the Lord, and are things He is bringing
His judgment against.

As I meditated and prayed further about this, I also sensed that this isn't
solely a message of false peace. There is a reason and a purpose why the
Lord desires His sheep to be at peace with one another, and to have good
shepherds feeding the flock, and for His sheep to have a good pasture to
feed in.

I sensed and continue to sense in my spirit a great and dark spiritual
danger and wickedness coming upon the earth. Those who have not joined
themselves unto the Lord, will marvel and be amazed at the deception shortly
to come to pass.

Those who have been lying at the feet of the Lord, being fed by Him and by
His shepherds, and whom have been at peace one with another; will be strong
spiritually to not be swayed by the coming deception.

At first, I felt intense fear, dread, and terror at the things the Lord
showed me that will come to pass. Then, the Lord instructed me to read over
and over again the book of John. As I did, peace came to my troubled soul.

John 14:1 ~~ Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe
also in me.

John 14:27 ~~ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the
world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let
it be afraid.

No matter what the coming days may bring, we have the assurance of God's
peace and presence to sustain us.
