Hi All, Sorry it has taken so long to update you on Billy's progress. It is hard to believe that he had his surgery over two weeks ago!Wish I could say they were good weeks but they were not. We had such high expectations after the surgery and when we found that there was not a lot of change, and then that kind of started to decline it took all our being to hang in there and hold on tight to the Lord, remembering His promises. Almost a week after surgery Billy developed a high fever, over 103 degrees and another battle was on hand. Didn't want to write all of this to you as we knew many prayers were going up on Billy's behalf and we didn't want people to get discouraged by what was happening. It was a time of stirring up our own faith in our faithful and wonderful God and Lord. But that is the past. As of this Sunday Billy started to look better and say a few more words. Monday he was even more alert and we knew that he had broken through the barrier and that his healing is right before him. Each day he is getting stronger, praise be to God! There is still much recovery to come with his speech, his swallowing and his right side but we have a big God and we know He is able to fulfill the promises He has given us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you all for your prayers and for your faithfulness. Should you be going through challenges of your own, please let us know so we can pray with and for you. Remember, don't give up! God's Word is yea and amen. Its up to us to believe it! Love ya all, Joan |
