There are three main categories that threaten the church. 1. Structure, 2. Doctrine, and 3. Personality Conflicts. In Acts chapter six, we see the need for a structure change. Without this change, the church would have suffered because it's leadership would have been overburdened. In Act chapter 15, we find a doctrinal adjustment in order to maintain Christianity as a whole. And in Act 15, at the end of the chapter, we find Mark being the issue of a personality conflict between Barnabas and Paul. Paul being one with strict principles, and Barnabas one being filled with mercy. One would note that Paul and Mark became very dear to one another in the years to come, and also that it was Barnabas that sought out Paul when he was going through the early days of his ministry, rejected by the Christians. ~ ~ ~ |
